I love all this new innovation it's great but it's always over priced so I would say it's for professionals really, If you are just learning just remember you gotta start with the basic stuff and that's nuttin' lol but yeah cool product.
This video is a couple of years old. I think they aren't making them anymore. Or so I've heard
It looks pretty practical but to be honest your 'old crappy table' has an awesome design on it,I wouldn't let it go to waste if I were you!😏👍
Agree. There's some oldschool spirit in that table with old paint.
I just looked it up on Amazon. They wanted $8600 for it.!! But they could not ship it to my
Location ! Damn, and I really wanted it 😂
Funny because I just gave mine away for a smaller hand held one.
Over time you I've become less reliant on stationary pallets. Hand held is way better
I wish these were still available
Apparently if you look around there's still some retails online that offer them that never sold. You'd have to do some digging
@@villapinstriping thanks!! I’ll start looking…
Good luck! I traded mine out for one of the smaller ones. I've been able to work a little more mobile
Upgrade might be to mount one of the brush holders you demoed in your other video to one of the lower corners. Even a thumb hole drilled in for lefty/righty painters if they want to go handheld. 🤔
They have a couple of handheld ones, with thumb holes. its just not my style. I use my other hand for stability
Completely didn’t think of that. And no free hand to hold a mahl stick if you use. Rookie mistake. Thanks again
very cool
Very cool. I’m very curious to see how it works for you.
Wheels 2 I'll do a 3 month review
got the same thing I made with a music stand for way less
Sweet!
Call it an easel and you can charge fifty bucks for it I s'pose. Could make something quite similar for a lot less;
- 1 stainless steel plate, or so it looks like. You could, of course, just take a piece of thin stainless steel sheet that you bend two edges of. Or aluminum sheet. I'd probably use a pretty shiny polished stainless steel serving tray and not bend anything at all. Can be bought for 3 bucks.
- 6 stainless steel cups. These look a lot like 30 ml cups. Can be bought from aliexpress at $0.22 a piece. You don't necessarily need to weld the cups, might as well glue them to the plate with 2 component epoxy. That stuff is incredibly strong, it'll hold for sure. Additional benefit: The bottom of the cup won't look like shit. Heck at $0.22 a piece I'd buy 6 additional cups that I'd actually use for the paint. Fill 'em and put them in the ones that are glued to the plate. Sounds rather convenient for cleaning as well.
- 2 stainless steel Bulldog clips. Bulldog clips are available in a various sizes and the larger ones can be bought for about 50 cts a piece. While Alpha's are screwed onto the plate (and quite ugly at that), I wouldn't even bother doing any of the drilling/screwing and simply stick 'em on with epoxy.
- 1 tripod mounting thingamajig. You can buy two tripod mounting nuts for a buck. Epoxy one to the bottom of the plate.
Total 3 + 1.32 + 1 + 0.50 + 1 (epoxy) = $6.82
Or $8.14 if you'd use 6 extra cups.
Anybody wanna buy a couple of these, assembled, for 25 bucks (+ shipping) a piece? :)
