Great video. I only had two issues. Since self-sacrifice is allowed, Ino could defeat Jirobo by making him commit seppuku during mind transfer. It's possible she wouldn't land it but you said your criteria for clearing is having at least a 40% chance of victory. As for how Kiba would find Kidomaru, he and Akamaru can smell him. Not saying that means Kiba wins, I'm just pointing it out because part of your reasoning was you didn't think Kiba could find him.
I have to second this with kiba and ino. Kiba and akamaru have high sense of smell. They could literally find him by scent. Remember the part Ukon or sakon hid within kibas jacket and says"you couldn't find me. Because you only noticed that your own scent was on the move. "
I agree that Kiba probbaly could take this. Not only would Kibas and Akamarus keen senses sniff out Kidomaru but Kidomarus generally plan of attack seems to suck at dealing with multiple targets at once
Ino could theoretically mind transfer into Jirobo (who by the way is noted to be slow and is a big target so the chance of it landing are pretty good) and just run back to the leaf village in his body and turn him in to the leaf jōnin. Is it cheating? Kind of, but still possible. Really depends on how far the fight took place from the gates of the leaf and what the timer is like for mind transfer. Also Jirobo would not be able to break out of the mind transfer, Sakura was only able to do this because of plot armor *cough* sorry I mean because Ino wasted too much chakra. Also it shouldn’t affect the mind transfer if Jirobo went into any higher states of the curse mark because all we see it do is amp them physically, mind transfer is purely mental.
Also healthy kimmimaro scales to beginning of shippuden sasuke so he’d mop everyone if he’s healthy but if he isn’t I also thinks he’d beat everyone not named garaa because braken dance would literally kill anyone who can’t fly and I don’t see how anyone aside from garaa is stopping his drill maybe neji but I think that drill would pierce through it it has similar power to the rasengan
If the win condition is stalling/sacrifice, ino should actually be really ridiculous here. Takes over body run really far away or something. Of course depends how long she can do it.
It's ino with no support, she has no strength or speed feats that could match jirobo. The fact is more 60% of the time she's not gonna land her mind transfer jutsu.
9:00 he absolutely could find Kidomaru the Inuzuka clan is best know for their tracking abilities, it's how they were able to tail the sound 4 for so long. And the all four jutsu could make him fast enough to dodge the webs, not that well or many mind you but enough to give chance for one good counter attack. Hed have to be running for like 99% of the battle just to survive lol
Video idea: Every major jonin in the village vs a akatsuki gauntlet. With kakashi and guy you would just choose versions of them to use for each fight. Edit: I just mean every jonin in this verse like neji, rock lee, etc.
I feel like everyone just loses though, Akatsuki are way more comparable to Kage not Jonin, it would just be “this character might beat Hidan and Zetsu but loses to the rest”, except for Kakashi and Guy

Let's be honest, Kimimaro clears everyone except one tailed kyuubi amped Naruto and curse mark lvl 2 Sasuke in that arc. You can't use Kimimaro exerting himself in one on one battles as a determinant. He fought 1000 powered up kyuubi amped clones, a regular Lee, a drunken Lee and Gaara. One right after the other. And even Gaara and Lee together. Also, it's strange that you can say Gaara would clear Kimimaro by himself if he was about to die, with Lee's help, if Kimimaro didn't succumb to his illness. That's illogical.
How? 1 Tailed Naruto/CM2 Sasuke would outlast Kimimaro due to his sickness, Naruto has the protective and regenerative kyuubi chakra cloak he can just use the tail to grab Kimimaro around and ragdoll/throw him constantly until he dies of his illness. Sasuke with 3 tomoe Sharingan easily kept up with KN0 Naruto and was reading his attacks, with CM2 Sasuke has 10x boost on top of that he would have no problem keeping up on Kimimaro. I have Naruto and Sasuke winning due to having the stamina to outlast Kimimaro attacks before he dies of sickness like how he did vs Gaara.

Kimimaro fought 1 thousand and 2 people, even if briefly. Lol. You can't use his lack of stamina as the determinant. Additionally, the heaven seal (Sasuke) and the earth seal (Kimimaro) are relative. And Kimimaro got rag-dolled by Gaara, as well. Not to mention Gaara's sand has a greater range than Naruto's cloak at that point in the story, with the bonus of applying pressure. He survived sand coffin. I've seen people get up after Rasengan's and Chidori's... Not from a sand coffin, though.
To be fair to kimimaru, his massive condensed bone spear could probably clash with at least one resengan, considering it pierced gaara's most powerful shield
Jiraiyas basic rasengan disintegrated a sphere hole into a tree by holding it on it. Idk if the home spears holding up to an amped rasengan. Kimimaru would lose that arm but I don't think he'd die though.
@@aggressivelyaverage97 I'd like to assume that gaara's ultimate defense is magnitudes more durable than a regular tree. Not saying that the resengan wouldn't win, just saying that there would be a significant clash.
I think a better way to do this would be "how many can they beat" rather than a gauntlet because None of them can beat two in a row, and doing it in order makes it a match up check rather than a representation of how theyd do (like shikamaru losing round one to a weaker opponent who had a good match up)
I enjoyed your video and break down a lot. It’s nice and clean and gives great analysis even without calcs. I think the main question I would consider for future vids is intel, because if Minato doesn’t know about Itachi’s Tsukiyomi, then he would have a very tough time avoiding it, nor seeing it coming. Sage mode only protects him if he knows prior as he didn’t use it/ prep it against obito. So I’d argue it’s still a win condition. I’m looking forward to the next one!
Followup video idea: Start of Shippuden versions of these characters doing the same gauntlet. It'd be interesting to see the changes and improvements, and maybe a few that don't do much better.
That would be a great video. Personally think it would go by even faster given feats, databook statements and stats. 1. Gaara low diffs. He's a literal Kage and his attacks go from covering a whole forest to a whole village with sand 2. Sasuke low diffs everyone and probably can beat Kimimaro in base or just 3-tomoe (chidori stream) 3. Naruto low diffs if he goes into kyuubi chakra. Without it, he'd defeat Kimimaro with a bit of difficulty 4. This would be the highest bump up but Sakura clears all in my opinion but would do better than Base Naruto 5. Sai would also clear all considering it's stated he's above everyone in his generation in Konoha other than Naruto (I'm assuming Danzo is referring to a kyuubi enraged Naruto not just in base since base Naruto is honestly even getting outshined by Sakura) 6. Temari, Neji and Kankuro for starters are jonin. Being at jonin level means you need to reach a certain threshold in power and I personally think that Kimimaro other than v2 doesn't reach that power. At that point, they at worst could just let Kimimaro run out of time and die 7. The characters who I think would easily defeat the Sound 4 and potentially Kimimaro or simply let him run out of time and die due to illness: Rock Lee, Shino, Kiba, Choji, Shikamaru, Hinata 8. Ino & Tenten are support fighters that until the war arc, I don't see them clearing above chunin in terms of ability. Granted, the Sound 4 are NOT ABOVE CHUNIN LEVEL and here Ino & Tenten are chunin so they could potentially fight them but them being specialists doesn't bode well in 1v1. That being said, War Arc Tenten > Kakazu so yeah

Neji is wayyyy faster than Kiba as Neji kept up with Nine tails chakra Naruto and wasn’t surprised when he saw Lee with his weights off (implying Neji seen that before) and was stated that Neji always beat Lee everytime they fought. So no as overpowered as that Wolf Fang Over Fang move was, Neji still takes this very easily

Kiba’s dog scent could easily Track Kidomaru. Wolf transformation enhance his senses as well. I think that was a large oversight given Kiba’s unpredictability and enhanced senses. I’d say Kiba might have a tough time, but definitely has more of a chance in clearing him than you gave credit.
They have to hit Kidoumaru with dog scent. That is easy against someone who stays close (Like Sukon and Ukon) but very hard against a long-ranged fighter, who hides from hundreds of meters away in a forest. Neji had way better tracking abilities than Inuzuka clan (he can see everything from long-range range end and sees through objects). Kidoumaru can hit Kiba from a camouflaged position even before Kiba thinks there is an enemy somewhere. That happened to Neji too, who can see miles away and in all directions, is better in taijutsu, significantly faster than kiba, and more experienced in fighting.
I don't think Lee gets quite as far as you guys might think but that's only because of how he had been in the hospital for months at that point. Using Gates in his condition would have been a bad idea.
They didn’t have a choice. When they fought as a team, they got ambushed into a chakra draining cage that only Choni could get them out of. People downplay Jirobo on that point too. If he catches any of these characters in that chakra drain cage they should lose.
@@PKAlt True but if they hit Jirobo with a combo it could just annihilate him. Even a simple one like Shikamaru freezes him with his shadow then releases just as Choji send Jirobo flying with a human boulder, into Naruto's Rasengan that launches him into the air, Knock him to the ground with Kiba's fang over fang, and finish with Neji's 64 palm. Jirobo would be left a bruised, bloodied mess with no chakra.

Great video & video topic. I do think a lot of the "who beats who" is contentious since essentially everyone here is a chunin level combatant for the most part with Kimimaro, Sasuke, Gaara and Naruto easily above even high chunin and depending on the person, either low jonin or jonin+ (I don't think any of the 4 are stronger than elite jonin like Guy, Kakashi, Asuma but could probably give most jonin a run for their money). Given Kimimaro's illness, I can see Sasuke, Naruto & Gaara winning due to Kimimaro dying. I actually think a couple of the genin can clear the Sound 4 and lose to Kimimaro. Me personally, I think red pill Choji can (this would mean he starts out with red pill), Kankuro & Shino can. I think Lee, Neji and Kiba could potentially stall at Sakon & Ukon although Neji would have the best in clearing them. I actually think Hinata would lose to Kidomaru and likewise Shikamaru but both defeat Jirobo

For the most part, the jonin they did defeat if I remember correctly are special jonin so meaning that they have jonin skill but in a specific area (think Ibiki with interrogation). Typically, jonin are all-around elite ninjas with the elite jonin being the strongest in the village outside of Kage, jonin commanders or lead of special squad (i.e. Anbu captain or Sannin or Police Force). What I'm saying is, the Sound 4 combined are at the level of special jonin whereas a normal jonin would wash them all (i.e. Kimimaro has skill level of jonin and potentially higher) let alone the elite jonin such as Kakashi, Asuma or Guy who would've brought Sasuke back before the day was done. To be clear, I'm not definitively saying that Final Valley Sasuke (both 3-tomoe & 3-tomoe/CM2) and Naruto (V1 1 tail) are at jonin level although it does seem that Gaara and at least CM2 Kimimaro are there even if one can argue not elite jonin level which is a debate to be had. The story kinda makes it seem like CM2+3-tomoe Sasuke ~ CM2 Sick Kimimaro which means Gaara & Naruto as well are relative which at that point maybe they are above even normal jonin but its up to hypothesis at that point. All I'm saying is, those 4 can all defeat the Sound 4 not only in a 1v1 but a 1v4.

Kiba would 100% be able to smell out Kidōmaru. Now I don't know if he could break the webs, but in terms of finding Kidōmaru, he defo would be able to. Akamaru would be able to sniff him out for sure.
Kiba wouldn't be able to break through the threads. They are durable enough to possibly tank a slice from a kunai. Unless Kiba uses chakra to enhance the slices, he's not getting out. No only that, Kidomaru has been shown to be a strategist and analyst. So case in point, Kidomaru is possibly setting up traps beforehand

Sadly I think lee cannot beat Kidomaru, recall half the battle of Kidomaru is finding where he is. Lee doesn’t any sensory abilities, and I guess you can argue that he won’t let kido get far but I feel like that’s far fetched
Shino would make a better support or assassin. His entire clan really (most dangerous clan in the hidden leaf imo - not most powerful, most DANGEROUS). Him going against people 1 v 1 doesn't make sense. He should have supported the other genins from the shadows and use assassination tactics with the bugs.

I think you can make the case naruto stops at tayuya considering her genjutsu, but it's also true it's not her first resort The girls are more so suited for a group effort but the video where all genin participates shows that already
@@shinycaterpie4443 It's just a bit inconsistent. There were several times that Naruto was caught into a genjutsu (in two of Itachi's genjutsus) and Kurama didn't break him out, but he wasn't in life-threatening danger so I guess that could be why Kurama didn't help.

Ino could at least beat Jirobo, I doubt she could get any further than him though. He wouldn’t be able to break free from mind transfer, even with the curse mark. It’s a mental ability, not physical like the shadow possession and it’s variations. Jirobo is slow and an ideal target for mind transfer, she could either self sacrifice or just run back to the leaf village in his body to turn him in to the leaf jounin, therefore stopping him.
You said they only needed a 40% chance to clear and neji is easily a 50/50 against tayuya. Version one being neji closes and shuts her down with 64 palms as he’s much more agile than shikamaru and she loses her chakra or if she makes it to curse mark 2nd state and she catches him in genjutsu.

I haven’t watched the video yet but ima say Neji stomps up until kimimaro. Kidomaru had a hard counter to Nejis attack and still lost/stalemated. No other sound member has a counter to 64 palms and I don’t think any other (besides kimimaro) is fast enough to evade the attack so it’s an instant gg. Tayuya is the only one of the sound 4 that stands a chance since she’s long range but if you argue genjutsu won’t work on Neji no reason he doesn’t stomp her either
Delving a little further, didn’t Neji blitz Kidomaru twice? At least once when he dispersed the webs. You could argue he clears Tayuya before she even gets started.

@@cj4ev3r26 Precisely my friend. Tayuya would be a better matchup for Neji. Her summons could get beaten by Neji’s superb defenses and attack speed. Ranged combat would be a better situation for him compared to Kidomaru’s style. He wouldn’t be clueless of where she is due to her flute. It was a bad mix of being pinned down and having no idea of where the enemy was. Tayuya doesn’t have these advantages. Lastly his blatant speed difference and skill set compared to Shikamaru should be enough to tag her before CS2 comes out. Tayuya has a good chance of being beaten by him.

He didn’t just block neji’s chakra he also stood up to the blunt force of neji blasting him through a massive tree, he’s also the smartest member by far. He only lost because neji’s abilities hard counter his fighting style and neji is the strongest member of the retrieval team

@@traiday28 yeah that’s what I’d call forced power scaling since it’s just not at all what we’re shown in any other scene. And it’s a case of matchups, kimmimaro is a close range fighter in an enclosed arena so sakon/ukon would fare better being a close quarters fighter himself with really good durability. Close range hand to hand isn’t kidomaru’s strength so he had a poor showing in that context. You’d think the tayuya would do poorly also but I’ll chalk that up to them trying to force her portrayal as one of the strong ones
Good video concept, good effort, good visuals! My main argument throughout is that either you guys have Kidomaro boosted or you’re arguing against yourself. You agree Sakon is deemed the strongest but keep stoping people who I assume you’d think are stronger than Sakon (Shino) or who have literally beaten (Kiba, Konkuro). By this argument, you would say that Kidomaro is the strongest of the Sound 5. “How would Sakon or kimimaro beat Kidomaro? If they get caught in the web they can’t get out because… and if he puts on his gold shell they can’t hit him because…” What do you think?
Ok so i feel like this is a thing I'm really not seeing much the sound 4 was already working at half capacity cux they had to stage 2 (oops stage 1) transform to beat the leaf jonin which puts a physical strain on the body regardless and by the time naruto and pals caught up to them they hadn't really had R&R so that's something and not to mention by the time gaara and company made it to them they were again already weak beforehand from being in stage 2 transformation for so long so Iove this arc but I honestly feel like if things didn't play out how they did half would've died I mean gaara was pushed to his limits by a sick kimimaro

I mean if I remember that right, everyone needs to go V2 to fight 2 jonin, I mean at that point even 10 year old Itachi could take out 2 jonin, no problem. So it really depends, anything older than 10 yo Itachi stomps pretty hard. For what it's worth, yeah, 6 yo Itachi and 7 yo Kakashi lose, but I guess that's to be expected
I think Kiba clears kidomaru - his sensory skills are decent with dynamic marking and akamarus sense of smell, and they can fight back to back to watch each others blindsides for arrows + have enough destructive ability to deal with the spiders

The guy with the ENHANCED sense of smell so sensitive that he was beaten by a fart... the guy from a clan with dogs whose sole purpose is to track people.... can't find someone shooting at them in a forest??? I think there needed to be clearer guidelines on how the fight begins. For one, and this one likely isn't actually an issue, Shikamaru actually got everyone with his shadow (ch 186) except Sakon. I think it's fair to say with the conditions you set, Shikamaru has much better chances to clear everyone but Sakon in this same way (since the condition is simply stopping them from regrouping.) He may not have a way to actually defeat any of them if they transform though, so if that's a condition of winning, I agree with his placement. The bigger issue is what happens after. Assuming the Jirobo fight starts how it did in the series, they're trapped in his dome. In chapter 187, we see there's no chance Kiba can break out, we saw that clearly. The dome also absorbed Naruto's attempts to create Rasengan, so I see no way he gets out either (without Kyuubi of course, he surely should clear with it.) Neji made it clear that "a focused physical attack concentrated at one point" is their only way to escape, and it was implied only Choji could do it. Then, they only actually figured out how to break out because of Shikamaru (although Neji may have figured it out). Based on this, I think it's clear none of the original genin (except maybe transformed Naruto) can even pass Jirobo, but in the manga he seemingly gave up after his rasengan failed, so I'm skeptical it would even get there. If instead of fighting in the circumstances of the story, it was in a vacuum, maybe Jirobo doesn't get them in the dome, but he did it pretty effortlessly.

I disagree so strongly on the Shino verdict, he's a direct counter to all sound four members' main strengths. Chakra absorbtion for Jirobu Tracking, stealth, & insect control for Kido Genjutsu immunity for Tayuya Insect infestation to counter the Body merge of Sakon/Udon. There is a reason he was conveniently left out of the retrieval mission.
I do agree with most of your points. However the "genjutsu immunity" part I don't really get. From what I remember, it's never actually shown or stated that he has any resistance or immunity to genjutsu

Genjutsu targets the flow of your chakra network and tricks it into perceiving an altered reality. Common defense against these techniques is the release technique, which disrupts your flow of chakra, this dismantling the illusion's hold on the target's network. The kikaichu are constantly feeding off their host's chakra, constantly disrupting the flow of chakra passively. Basically, all Aburame insects are a constant "Kai" release, providing an excellent defense to most every genjutsu, with perhaps the exception of ocular genjutsu and God tier Kaguya genjutsu
Gaara should not beat Kimminsro. Neither should Naruto. If Kinmimaro beat a bunch of Kyuubi Naruto Clones, then he fought Lee (as well as Drunk Lee) and then he fought Gaara and only lost to his illness, then he should win a 1v1 with anyone except maybe Sasuke

Naruto fought Kimi and was getting handled so Naruto would have to use as much Chakra as he did vs Sasuke in Valley of End if he want to beat Kimi. Gaara did not beat Kimimaro though, he pushed him but if Kimi sickness did not happen Gaara was finished.
If Base Kimimaro is no diffing a 1000 Kyuubi amped Naruto's in base, why would 1 tailed Naruto be able to get him to CM2 and be able to hold on long enough for him to outlast Kimimaro or even beat him, unless 1 tailed Naruto is like a 20x amp from K0.
Because those clones probably weren’t anywhere near the original Naruto power level, they literally go poof with one simple attack. Plus Naruto was fighting with blind rage and was trying to attack Kimimaro with predictably. 1T Naruto is >>> in speed and power than KN0 Naruto due to the fact that he was ragdolling a character that is just as fast as Kimimaro (Sasuke) and pushed Sasuke with fully awaken 3 tomoe Sharingan to go CM2 just to = 1 Tailed Naruto. Also CM2 started to kill and slow down Kimimaro in exchange for durability, 1 Tailed Naruto can just throw him around using chakra tail until he dies due to illness and if Kimimaro touches Naruto he can risk being burned due to the protective chakra cloak.
If they weren't close to his power level then why was Naruto shitting himself when Kimimaro demolished all of them and even if he was in blind rage it would make him stronger cause the Kyuubi chakra in Naruto works better when he's angry. I know 1T Naruto is stronger than KNO, I'm just saying how much stronger would Naruto get from it cause I doubt that it would be such a buff that it would allow him to beat CM2 Kimimaro. How is Sasuke as fast as Kimimaro, this is never stated, even Naruto that fights both doesn't state this. Yea the CM2 kills Kimimaro but would Naruto survive long enough for him to kill Kimimaro cause Gaara was a very good counter for Kimimaro cause he's a ranged fighter and Naruto isn't, he's going to try close combat and we all know that Kimimaro would mop him in close combat.

Great video. I only had two issues. Since self-sacrifice is allowed, Ino could defeat Jirobo by making him commit seppuku during mind transfer. It's possible she wouldn't land it but you said your criteria for clearing is having at least a 40% chance of victory.
As for how Kiba would find Kidomaru, he and Akamaru can smell him. Not saying that means Kiba wins, I'm just pointing it out because part of your reasoning was you didn't think Kiba could find him.

I have to second this with kiba and ino. Kiba and akamaru have high sense of smell. They could literally find him by scent. Remember the part Ukon or sakon hid within kibas jacket and says"you couldn't find me. Because you only noticed that your own scent was on the move. "
I agree that Kiba probbaly could take this. Not only would Kibas and Akamarus keen senses sniff out Kidomaru but Kidomarus generally plan of attack seems to suck at dealing with multiple targets at once
Ino could theoretically mind transfer into Jirobo (who by the way is noted to be slow and is a big target so the chance of it landing are pretty good) and just run back to the leaf village in his body and turn him in to the leaf jōnin. Is it cheating? Kind of, but still possible. Really depends on how far the fight took place from the gates of the leaf and what the timer is like for mind transfer. Also Jirobo would not be able to break out of the mind transfer, Sakura was only able to do this because of plot armor *cough* sorry I mean because Ino wasted too much chakra. Also it shouldn’t affect the mind transfer if Jirobo went into any higher states of the curse mark because all we see it do is amp them physically, mind transfer is purely mental.
Also healthy kimmimaro scales to beginning of shippuden sasuke so he’d mop everyone if he’s healthy but if he isn’t I also thinks he’d beat everyone not named garaa because braken dance would literally kill anyone who can’t fly and I don’t see how anyone aside from garaa is stopping his drill maybe neji but I think that drill would pierce through it it has similar power to the rasengan

And the all four jutsu could make him fast enough to dodge the webs, not that well or many mind you but enough to give chance for one good counter attack. Video idea: Every major jonin in the village vs a akatsuki gauntlet. With kakashi and guy you would just choose versions of them to use for each fight.

Let's be honest, Kimimaro clears everyone except one tailed kyuubi amped Naruto and curse mark lvl 2 Sasuke in that arc. You can't use Kimimaro exerting himself in one on one battles as a determinant.
He fought 1000 powered up kyuubi amped clones, a regular Lee, a drunken Lee and Gaara. One right after the other. And even Gaara and Lee together. Also, it's strange that you can say Gaara would clear Kimimaro by himself if he was about to die, with Lee's help, if Kimimaro didn't succumb to his illness. That's illogical.
I honestly think Kimimaro beats both 1 tailed Naruto and CM2 Sasuke in a one v one fight.

How? 1 Tailed Naruto/CM2 Sasuke would outlast Kimimaro due to his sickness, Naruto has the protective and regenerative kyuubi chakra cloak he can just use the tail to grab Kimimaro around and ragdoll/throw him constantly until he dies of his illness.
Sasuke with 3 tomoe Sharingan easily kept up with KN0 Naruto and was reading his attacks, with CM2 Sasuke has 10x boost on top of that he would have no problem keeping up on Kimimaro.
I have Naruto and Sasuke winning due to having the stamina to outlast Kimimaro attacks before he dies of sickness like how he did vs Gaara.

Additionally, the heaven seal (Sasuke) and the earth seal (Kimimaro) are relative. And Kimimaro got rag-dolled by Gaara, as well. Not to mention Gaara's sand has a greater range than Naruto's cloak at that point in the story, with the bonus of applying pressure. He survived sand coffin.
I've seen people get up after Rasengan's and Chidori's... Not from a sand coffin, though.

Jiraiyas basic rasengan disintegrated a sphere hole into a tree by holding it on it. Idk if the home spears holding up to an amped rasengan. Kimimaru would lose that arm but I don't think he'd die though.

I think a better way to do this would be "how many can they beat" rather than a gauntlet because None of them can beat two in a row, and doing it in order makes it a match up check rather than a representation of how theyd do (like shikamaru losing round one to a weaker opponent who had a good match up)

I think the main question I would consider for future vids is intel, because if Minato doesn’t know about Itachi’s Tsukiyomi, then he would have a very tough time avoiding it, nor seeing it coming. Sage mode only protects him if he knows prior as he didn’t use it/ prep it against obito. So I’d argue it’s still a win condition.

Followup video idea: Start of Shippuden versions of these characters doing the same gauntlet. It'd be interesting to see the changes and improvements, and maybe a few that don't do much better.
That would be a great video. Personally think it would go by even faster given feats, databook statements and stats.
1. Gaara low diffs. He's a literal Kage and his attacks go from covering a whole forest to a whole village with sand
2. Sasuke low diffs everyone and probably can beat Kimimaro in base or just 3-tomoe (chidori stream)
3. Naruto low diffs if he goes into kyuubi chakra. Without it, he'd defeat Kimimaro with a bit of difficulty
4. This would be the highest bump up but Sakura clears all in my opinion but would do better than Base Naruto
5. Sai would also clear all considering it's stated he's above everyone in his generation in Konoha other than Naruto (I'm assuming Danzo is referring to a kyuubi enraged Naruto not just in base since base Naruto is honestly even getting outshined by Sakura)
6. Temari, Neji and Kankuro for starters are jonin. Being at jonin level means you need to reach a certain threshold in power and I personally think that Kimimaro other than v2 doesn't reach that power. At that point, they at worst could just let Kimimaro run out of time and die
7. The characters who I think would easily defeat the Sound 4 and potentially Kimimaro or simply let him run out of time and die due to illness:
Rock Lee, Shino, Kiba, Choji, Shikamaru, Hinata
8. Ino & Tenten are support fighters that until the war arc, I don't see them clearing above chunin in terms of ability. Granted, the Sound 4 are NOT ABOVE CHUNIN LEVEL and here Ino & Tenten are chunin so they could potentially fight them but them being specialists doesn't bode well in 1v1. That being said, War Arc Tenten > Kakazu so yeah

Kiba’s dog scent could easily Track Kidomaru. Wolf transformation enhance his senses as well. I think that was a large oversight given Kiba’s unpredictability and enhanced senses. I’d say Kiba might have a tough time, but definitely has more of a chance in clearing him than you gave credit.
They have to hit Kidoumaru with dog scent. That is easy against someone who stays close (Like Sukon and Ukon) but very hard against a long-ranged fighter, who hides from hundreds of meters away in a forest. Neji had way better tracking abilities than Inuzuka clan (he can see everything from long-range range end and sees through objects). Kidoumaru can hit Kiba from a camouflaged position even before Kiba thinks there is an enemy somewhere. That happened to Neji too, who can see miles away and in all directions, is better in taijutsu, significantly faster than kiba, and more experienced in fighting.
Video idea: how would each team (like kakashi steam 7) would do in place of asumas team against hidan and kakazu.

They didn’t have a choice. When they fought as a team, they got ambushed into a chakra draining cage that only Choni could get them out of. People downplay Jirobo on that point too. If he catches any of these characters in that chakra drain cage they should lose.

Even a simple one like Shikamaru freezes him with his shadow then releases just as Choji send Jirobo flying with a human boulder, into Naruto's Rasengan that launches him into the air, Knock him to the ground with Kiba's fang over fang, and finish with Neji's 64 palm. Jirobo would be left a bruised, bloodied mess with no chakra.

I do think a lot of the "who beats who" is contentious since essentially everyone here is a chunin level combatant for the most part with Kimimaro, Sasuke, Gaara and Naruto easily above even high chunin and depending on the person, either low jonin or jonin+ (I don't think any of the 4 are stronger than elite jonin like Guy, Kakashi, Asuma but could probably give most jonin a run for their money).
Given Kimimaro's illness, I can see Sasuke, Naruto & Gaara winning due to Kimimaro dying. I actually think a couple of the genin can clear the Sound 4 and lose to Kimimaro. Me personally, I think red pill Choji can (this would mean he starts out with red pill), Kankuro & Shino can. I think Lee, Neji and Kiba could potentially stall at Sakon & Ukon although Neji would have the best in clearing them. I actually think Hinata would lose to Kidomaru and likewise Shikamaru but both defeat Jirobo

For the most part, the jonin they did defeat if I remember correctly are special jonin so meaning that they have jonin skill but in a specific area (think Ibiki with interrogation). Typically, jonin are all-around elite ninjas with the elite jonin being the strongest in the village outside of Kage, jonin commanders or lead of special squad (i.e. Anbu captain or Sannin or Police Force).
What I'm saying is, the Sound 4 combined are at the level of special jonin whereas a normal jonin would wash them all (i.e. Kimimaro has skill level of jonin and potentially higher) let alone the elite jonin such as Kakashi, Asuma or Guy who would've brought Sasuke back before the day was done.
To be clear, I'm not definitively saying that Final Valley Sasuke (both 3-tomoe & 3-tomoe/CM2) and Naruto (V1 1 tail) are at jonin level although it does seem that Gaara and at least CM2 Kimimaro are there even if one can argue not elite jonin level which is a debate to be had. The story kinda makes it seem like CM2+3-tomoe Sasuke ~ CM2 Sick Kimimaro which means Gaara & Naruto as well are relative which at that point maybe they are above even normal jonin but its up to hypothesis at that point.
All I'm saying is, those 4 can all defeat the Sound 4 not only in a 1v1 but a 1v4.

Kiba would 100% be able to smell out Kidōmaru. Now I don't know if he could break the webs, but in terms of finding Kidōmaru, he defo would be able to. Akamaru would be able to sniff him out for sure.
Kiba wouldn't be able to break through the threads. They are durable enough to possibly tank a slice from a kunai. Unless Kiba uses chakra to enhance the slices, he's not getting out.
No only that, Kidomaru has been shown to be a strategist and analyst. So case in point, Kidomaru is possibly setting up traps beforehand

Shino would make a better support or assassin. His entire clan really (most dangerous clan in the hidden leaf imo - not most powerful, most DANGEROUS). Him going against people 1 v 1 doesn't make sense. He should have supported the other genins from the shadows and use assassination tactics with the bugs.

@@shinycaterpie4443 It's just a bit inconsistent. There were several times that Naruto was caught into a genjutsu (in two of Itachi's genjutsus) and Kurama didn't break him out, but he wasn't in life-threatening danger so I guess that could be why Kurama didn't help.

I haven’t watched the video yet but ima say Neji stomps up until kimimaro. Kidomaru had a hard counter to Nejis attack and still lost/stalemated. No other sound member has a counter to 64 palms and I don’t think any other (besides kimimaro) is fast enough to evade the attack so it’s an instant gg. Tayuya is the only one of the sound 4 that stands a chance since she’s long range but if you argue genjutsu won’t work on Neji no reason he doesn’t stomp her either
Delving a little further, didn’t Neji blitz Kidomaru twice? At least once when he dispersed the webs. You could argue he clears Tayuya before she even gets started.

@@cj4ev3r26 Precisely my friend. Tayuya would be a better matchup for Neji. Her summons could get beaten by Neji’s superb defenses and attack speed. Ranged combat would be a better situation for him compared to Kidomaru’s style. He wouldn’t be clueless of where she is due to her flute. It was a bad mix of being pinned down and having no idea of where the enemy was. Tayuya doesn’t have these advantages. Lastly his blatant speed difference and skill set compared to Shikamaru should be enough to tag her before CS2 comes out. Tayuya has a good chance of being beaten by him.

Sakon and ukon being the strongest is such bs. It’s easily kidomaru the webs require chakra attacks to cut and if you can’t you’re screwed, he has infinite weapons, has the highest lethal attack power with his bow and a instant reaction defense with his gold armor. He didn’t just block neji’s chakra he also stood up to the blunt force of neji blasting him through a massive tree, he’s also the smartest member by far. He only lost because neji’s abilities hard counter his fighting style and neji is the strongest member of the retrieval team

@@olorin6494 yeah but they show definitely implies it’s either her or sakon/ukon as being the strongest. If you remember the flashback of them all fighting kimimaru. Both jirobo and kidomaru fainted, Tayuya and sakon were beaten but still conscious per the anime, this implies them to be stronger than both jirobo and kidomaru.
@@traiday28 yeah that’s what I’d call forced power scaling since it’s just not at all what we’re shown in any other scene. And it’s a case of matchups, kimmimaro is a close range fighter in an enclosed arena so sakon/ukon would fare better being a close quarters fighter himself with really good durability. Close range hand to hand isn’t kidomaru’s strength so he had a poor showing in that context. You’d think the tayuya would do poorly also but I’ll chalk that up to them trying to force her portrayal as one of the strong ones

My main argument throughout is that either you guys have Kidomaro boosted or you’re arguing against yourself. You agree Sakon is deemed the strongest but keep stoping people who I assume you’d think are stronger than Sakon (Shino) or who have literally beaten (Kiba, Konkuro). By this argument, you would say that Kidomaro is the strongest of the Sound 5. “How would Sakon or kimimaro beat Kidomaro? If they get caught in the web they can’t get out because… and if he puts on his gold shell they can’t hit him because…”

Ok so i feel like this is a thing I'm really not seeing much the sound 4 was already working at half capacity cux they had to stage 2 (oops stage 1) transform to beat the leaf jonin which puts a physical strain on the body regardless and by the time naruto and pals caught up to them they hadn't really had R&R so that's something and not to mention by the time gaara and company made it to them they were again already weak beforehand from being in stage 2 transformation for so long so Iove this arc but I honestly feel like if things didn't play out how they did half would've died I mean gaara was pushed to his limits by a sick kimimaro

Really depends which kid versions we mean. Kid Itachi at like 12 or 13 likely solos everyone here, with the hardest being Kimmimaru.

@@johnzhou3860 Well yeah that's why I said it depends. If we mean pre-Akatsuki Itachi (like 12/13 year old, Anbu Itachi), then Itachi stomps. If we mean 8 year old Itachi, I mean I don't know. The sound 4 (was it all 4 or was it 2 of them?) had to go V2 to fight against like what, two jonin? I mean if I remember that right, everyone needs to go V2 to fight 2 jonin, I mean at that point even 10 year old Itachi could take out 2 jonin, no problem. So it really depends, anything older than 10 yo Itachi stomps pretty hard. For what it's worth, yeah, 6 yo Itachi and 7 yo Kakashi lose, but I guess that's to be expected
I think Kiba clears kidomaru - his sensory skills are decent with dynamic marking and akamarus sense of smell, and they can fight back to back to watch each others blindsides for arrows + have enough destructive ability to deal with the spiders

I mean I was like "ehhh agree to disagree" on some of ur points about the other genin but nah... Couldn't let this one slide. The guy with the ENHANCED sense of smell so sensitive that he was beaten by a fart... the guy from a clan with dogs whose sole purpose is to track people.... can't find someone shooting at them in a forest??? I think there needed to be clearer guidelines on how the fight begins. For one, and this one likely isn't actually an issue, Shikamaru actually got everyone with his shadow (ch 186) except Sakon. I think it's fair to say with the conditions you set, Shikamaru has much better chances to clear everyone but Sakon in this same way (since the condition is simply stopping them from regrouping.) He may not have a way to actually defeat any of them if they transform though, so if that's a condition of winning, I agree with his placement. The bigger issue is what happens after. Assuming the Jirobo fight starts how it did in the series, they're trapped in his dome.
In chapter 187, we see there's no chance Kiba can break out, we saw that clearly. The dome also absorbed Naruto's attempts to create Rasengan, so I see no way he gets out either (without Kyuubi of course, he surely should clear with it.) Neji made it clear that "a focused physical attack concentrated at one point" is their only way to escape, and it was implied only Choji could do it. Then, they only actually figured out how to break out because of Shikamaru (although Neji may have figured it out). Based on this, I think it's clear none of the original genin (except maybe transformed Naruto) can even pass Jirobo, but in the manga he seemingly gave up after his rasengan failed, so I'm skeptical it would even get there.
If instead of fighting in the circumstances of the story, it was in a vacuum, maybe Jirobo doesn't get them in the dome, but he did it pretty effortlessly.
Isn't keeping people in shadow possession pretty draining though? How long could he stall with that?
@Dr Pj Yeah that's why I think the requirements are too vague to clear it. That being said, if he could defeat one of them like that, he might be able to against others, who knows.
@@IlluviumGaming the way I interpreted the stalling rule was that it needs to be long enough that they can't interfere with any of the other fights.

I disagree so strongly on the Shino verdict, he's a direct counter to all sound four members' main strengths.

Genjutsu immunity for Tayuya
Insect infestation to counter the Body merge of Sakon/Udon.
There is a reason he was conveniently left out of the retrieval mission.
I do agree with most of your points. However the "genjutsu immunity" part I don't really get. From what I remember, it's never actually shown or stated that he has any resistance or immunity to genjutsu

In the Part 1's filler it was stated that Shino's insects arent affected by genjutsu due to their lack of a brain/having a extremely simple nervous system

Genjutsu targets the flow of your chakra network and tricks it into perceiving an altered reality. Common defense against these techniques is the release technique, which disrupts your flow of chakra, this dismantling the illusion's hold on the target's network. The kikaichu are constantly feeding off their host's chakra, constantly disrupting the flow of chakra passively. Basically, all Aburame insects are a constant "Kai" release, providing an excellent defense to most every genjutsu, with perhaps the exception of ocular genjutsu and God tier Kaguya genjutsu

Gaara should not beat Kimminsro. Neither should Naruto. If Kinmimaro beat a bunch of Kyuubi Naruto Clones, then he fought Lee (as well as Drunk Lee) and then he fought Gaara and only lost to his illness, then he should win a 1v1 with anyone except maybe Sasuke

@@quefloyd4294 CS2 Sasuke was able to beat enraged Naruto w/ the most Kyuubi Chakra given to him so far. Naruto fought Kimi and was getting handled so Naruto would have to use as much Chakra as he did vs Sasuke in Valley of End if he want to beat Kimi.
Gaara did not beat Kimimaro though, he pushed him but if Kimi sickness did not happen Gaara was finished.
Saskue can’t tank any of kimimaro’s attacks who’s just as fast . Saskue gets low diffed due to his trash defense.
If Base Kimimaro is no diffing a 1000 Kyuubi amped Naruto's in base, why would 1 tailed Naruto be able to get him to CM2 and be able to hold on long enough for him to outlast Kimimaro or even beat him, unless 1 tailed Naruto is like a 20x amp from K0.
Because those clones probably weren’t anywhere near the original Naruto power level, they literally go poof with one simple attack. Plus Naruto was fighting with blind rage and was trying to attack Kimimaro with predictably.
1T Naruto is >>> in speed and power than KN0 Naruto due to the fact that he was ragdolling a character that is just as fast as Kimimaro (Sasuke) and pushed Sasuke with fully awaken 3 tomoe Sharingan to go CM2 just to = 1 Tailed Naruto.
Also CM2 started to kill and slow down Kimimaro in exchange for durability, 1 Tailed Naruto can just throw him around using chakra tail until he dies due to illness and if Kimimaro touches Naruto he can risk being burned due to the protective chakra cloak.
If they weren't close to his power level then why was Naruto shitting himself when Kimimaro demolished all of them and even if he was in blind rage it would make him stronger cause the Kyuubi chakra in Naruto works better when he's angry.
I know 1T Naruto is stronger than KNO, I'm just saying how much stronger would Naruto get from it cause I doubt that it would be such a buff that it would allow him to beat CM2 Kimimaro.

Yea the CM2 kills Kimimaro but would Naruto survive long enough for him to kill Kimimaro cause Gaara was a very good counter for Kimimaro cause he's a ranged fighter and Naruto isn't, he's going to try close combat and we all know that Kimimaro would mop him in close combat.
