If a game was first made for the SNES and simply converted to the Mega Drive, it usually looks better on the SNES. No effort has been made to redo the graphics to fit the Sega's more limited colour palette.
I think this was ported from the Amiga.
@Lucas. they cite that detail in every video. Or you do.
@Lucas. X68000 same cpu on Amiga neo Geo cps1+2
@Lucas It's funny, because I thought the SNES version of Mickey Mania was the base version, and all the other versions were ports. It was the first to be released.
SNES this time.
A bit plain for both but the shadows look great on the SNES. Surprised by the odd sound on both.
It's a Amiga game, I think that's the reason why it sounds odd!
I think you really shoud make a chamge for the way you compare the auido in your videos. It will be better if you presented some minutes or the first stage of gameplay on one side with full stereo music and sound effects, then pause, and show the same gameplay or stage in the other side with the full stereo music and sound effects as mono sound is not enough to compare these systems sound capabilities. Also it will be good that you mentioned if the systems, where the games were played, were modified in any way from ther "stock" form like adding digital sound output to the snes or modified cleaner audio for the genesis/megadrive along with the model or revision of each hardware.
I totally agree
In the US, we were blessed with a 60Hz version.
@@inceptional Nah, Firepower 2000 is the NTSC version. Needless to say it's smoother.
@@inceptional Its just that much smoother than the PAL version, which in a game like this makes all the difference in the world.
@@3xperiment8 In the comparison of Top Gear she shows the Genesis version in single screen mode vs. the SNES version in split screen. Why didn't she show the Genesis version in split screen mode also? She's a pathetic Sega fangirl, that's why.
I like the brighter, contrasty look to the mega drive version, it looks more appealing to me. But I think the SNES wins because it has shadows on the enemies. I'm not sure if the mega drive couldn't handle the shadows or they forgot about them but it's a shame.
1. Cool so its like Raiden but with a Jeep.
2. According to the Genesis version your battling the forces of evil on a giant slice of cheese. At least on the Snes it looks more like a desert.
3. Music on the Genesis sounds good.
@@inceptional I'm always disappointed when they don't show off the two-player co-op mode in games. Don't any of these You Tubers have any friends?
A brown sanded desert.
The shadows and and extras colours really add sooner depth to the SNES version that the mega drive lacks
Don't forget those gun sounds
@Lucas. Posso estar confundindo com algum outro então. Jackal eu conheço.
More and better looking colors, shadows, bigger screen size - SNES wins imo.
I had this game for the SNES in the States, it was called Firepower 2000. Ok shooter, not much replay value.
I don't feel genesis owners should feel discouraged even with a few small differences it's still commendablely a solid port of the game for what's here.
SNES easy on this one.
SNES is garbage for shmups. Slow, garbage main CPU.
68k 👊
@@houstonhelicoptertours1006 Can You don't cry please? :'( please, don't cry
@@houstonhelicoptertours1006 Nope. It doesn't matter how many times Sega fanboys spout such nonsense, plenty of amazing SNES shooters prove otherwise. Axelay, Space Megaforce, Rendering Ranger R2, Super Macross: Scrambled Valkyrie, Star Fox, R-Type 3, Gradius 3, three different Parodius games, Pop n' Twinbee, and plenty more have no equal on the Genesis. Don't believe internet myths. Seek these games out for yourself.
@@davidaitken8503 I they both have incredible libraries for shmups. I don’t know if I could choose one over the other, but I tend to play more Genesis ones because they do feel nice and snappy. All the best snes shmups are more slow paced and methodical. Super Aleste, R Tyoe 3 etc.
That Genesis port sho’ is ugly.
Also, there’s a sound effect in their that I think has just caused permanent damage to my ear drums.
The missing shadows on the MD version make the game look even more flat than it already is.
Amiga! :P
Both!
so the SNES has the cutscene for the stage its missing that the Genesis has but the Gen is missing the cutscenes for the stage? ok lazy development right there.
Genesis is missing shadows and FX. so SNES is better IMO even though the Genesis has the first stage. easy hack modification could fix the Genesis version.
👽👍
🤡
super nes mucho mejor
At simple view snes has better graphics. But something that is hard to measure in videos is how gameplay feels. I don't know how controls are, if they have input lag, etc. for example , mk1 looked better in snes but it has a terrible input lag that in genesis isn't. And for me, genesis was a better port, apart of blood of course.
The controls are highly responsive in both versions. The SNES actually has better controls thanks to the shoulder buttons and the added jump feature.
@@Vinicius-hs2rf it's hard to admit something that I only watched on a video and haven't tried myself.
@Dean Satan I don’t believe you. I think you just made that up. Dean Satan. You’ve tarnished your own reputation by being unreasonable and making inaccurate statements in the past.
I think this game controls fine on SNES. I can’t test it right now but I intend to.
Not all games have input lag on SNES. Only about 45% of them.
@@iwanttocomplain Few games on SNES have any noticeable input lag at all. The only two I have ever encountered in the literally hundreds of games I have played is Mortal Kombat 1 and Wolf Child.
Dean Satan is a compulsive lier that I have encountered on a number of occasions. Through those interactions it has become clear to me he has not actually played any SNES games. He has even insisted the Sega Master System is superior to the SNES. That's just sad.
@@davidaitken8503 try playing Musya. Loads of games have input lag. Lion King has a little.
Yeah could have used shadow mode. It’s just placed into a pallet like a colour.
Snes wins this. Better colour palette and better soundtrack
lol
@@3xperiment8
Piss off SNES kiddie
Normal, Snes gráficos e soms melhores, e Mega Drive melhor FPS.
Normal entre eles.....
Genesis Does
n't
Nintendo is what Genesisn't
@@pablogutierrez7396 yeah, for kids
Sega did what Nintendid not
Genesis Does excellent fart sounds
Super Lentendo
Not so much according to this comparison :)
Genesis wins
@@inceptional It does. Genesis always win, if you do not agree, that's because you're wrong.
@Benjamin Jagun ok
@@vomoreno Já é hora de ir pra cama, menino. Vai dormir
Yes. Genesis wins at having grating fart explosions. It loses big time on the game though.
