You need to do senior dogs, they need it more than the puppies.
They’d go out of business in a month, unfortunately. We seniors have to deal with no future. Try to get a job over 50.
@@johnmiranda2307 ok boomer
@@johnmiranda2307 he was talking about dogs over the age of 8, lmao relax
@@johnmiranda2307, They trained themselves to be a Vacuum for anything you have missed. If I had a Dog over the age of 50, in Human Years, that would be an extreme World Record.
And oddly they open with the picture of an older, though not senior, dog. But I've been wishing they'd bring out some senior dogs a few times/yr.
Please do it with adult dogs ! ! They have much more trouble finding homes than puppies ! !
*everyone liked that*
This is exactly the thing that I think every time!
Seniors especially! And honestly, they're the best anyway. No training necessary. Mellowed out and ready to chill.
And disabled ones as well!
@@TheBizzle1984, the problem is that senior dogs die much sooner than puppies and not everyone has the ability to embrace grief. I feel like it was just yesterday that our girls were puppies. I looked up and they're five. I cannot imagine my life without them and frankly, I don't want to.
The one who adores me sleeps beside the bed during the day. Which is just about the only time I can sleep. (I have multiple health issues, including seizures.) My partner will come to take her outside and she'll refuse to go even when our other animals want to play with her or there are T.R.E.A.T.S. involved. I got up this morning just to sit with her before my partner heads to work so that I could be sure she went potty and ate. Lots of belly scratches are involved. This dog and I are inseparable, and the thought of losing her fills me with a dread that is like staring into a fathomless abyss.
Absolutely adopt older dogs if you're someone who can deal with loss better than myself. But it's definitely okay to not want to do that too and to still want to love and protect an animal.
Please do senior dogs some time! Puppies are easier to place in homes while older pups get overlooked. :'(
And special needs dogs.
@@jnewcomb One dog, in this video, was diagnosed with Spina Bifida. Another was Pregnant with Three Puppies en route. She, and her brother, were straight from a Puppy Mill.
czcams.com/video/ORtXgu0m2b8/video.html
Seniors for seniors! Match activity levels
Exactly- it's good that there were pits but it's pretty easy to adopt out puppies. Senior dogs (and older adults) really need the boost
@@QUICKBOOKS1 I meant on the Late Show. I know there are special needs rescues. I just adopted a special need case this weekend. He's only got one eye.
I have huge respect for Stephen and his team for using air time to get dogs adopted and i love it but PLEEAAAASSSE do a "Senior Dog Edition".
Senior dogs usually have had a much harder life and deserve every second of air time you can use.
i have taken in three Dogs over ten year old. They had very good years until they passed. Everyone seems they want a puppy but puppies are hard. T hen they end up in shelters. I have had fourteen Dogs in the last thirty years , a couple of puppies but mostly older dogs. They are the ones that need homes.
I was going to suggest the same thing. Puppies are usually easy to adopt, please do some middle aged and senior dogs, and dogs with special needs.
Stop f-ing dressing puppies like that. That one dog cant see sh-t in it
I still would love to see them feature some senior dogs in this segment. Puppies get adopted so much easier. It's good to do what he's doing, but it could be better lol.
I only wanted to adopt a senior and at 10 he’s still more energetic than I am :)
Agreed
@@Fauxtralto I’ve adopted of all ages. From just a few months, to four years, to my current old man we for at 6. 7 years later he still has a puppy spirit, even if his body can’t always keep up.
That would be amazing.
Agreed !
This is super cute, but please feature grown up dogs next time... They're the ones that really need the help.
Puppies are easy to adopt out... need to help all the older dogs find homes...
You need to have a "where are they now?" segment for the previous puppies in their furever homes!
I second that!
Yes, please!
YES!!!
🙌
Senior dogs and abused dogs need air time. These dogs need adoption and will be the very best pet EVER!
Also, disabled dogs could use some airtime!
It's nice that you put puppies out and get them adopted. What about adult and old dogs.?
Getting puppies adopted is easy, please put senior dogs on the show, they often get neglected.
Especially these puppies, they look like purebreds.
This just feels like a showbiz thing, for cheap awws.
@@CT-vm4gf I mean there are some pit bulls there which can be harder to adopt but yeah puppies are easy
We need a senior dog segment!!!!
I love this segment and the thought behind it HOWEVER they shouldn't be using the cutest puppies at the shelter. Those puppies are going to be adopted anyway. Choose the ones missing a leg or an eye, the ones who have been in the shelter for months and keep getting passed over. The people will adopt the puppies just for being on the show, so let's get the ones who need the help, the help
Amen!!! 🙏
Well if this isnt the segment i deserve after a long week. Thank you internet.
:) It just doesn't get any more wholesome!
Another plea for senior dogs, please. Their forever time is less on this earth, so let's make it meaningful.
The little blep from Millie was so adorable!!!
Please Rescue for Senior dogs!
That vegan chef was ironically taste testing Nick to see if he was properly seasoned.
His beard is salt and pepper 😉
What every smart chef will do 😋
@@kerryn6714 well played
@@mercator79
Thanks Batman 👍
😂😂😂😂I died when the pup started to lick.
Please do senior dogs instead of puppies. They deserve a good home for their final years. Puppies have a much higher chance of getting adopted because they are as said, puppies.
No one wants an old as$ dog who you may have to drag out their bodies 😅
Please feature adult dogs 💕 They desperately need good homes and are just as adorable.
Still only puppies. I want to see adult dogs.
Careful, Steve. Nick is pretty good, he might make a competitive late-night host someday soon. The audience loves him, the camera loves him, and so do dogs.
I'm a simple person,
I see puppies,
I click.
You’re a simple person you see Brandon and vote
@@disastermaster1413 You’re a simple person's version of a simple person: You see Brandon and vote for the other guy.
@@dayegilharno4988 Anytime you see iQ45, vote for the other guy.
@@disastermaster1413 “dear diary, today I hit rock bottom. I found myself trolling a puppy video in support of a game show host turned failed President.”
Nick Offerman is the bestest boi
Please only adopt if you really are going to keep and take care of your new fur baby! 🥰 🐶 🥰
Again, Nick should be President.
EDIT: Please do more of this segment. It's funny, it's heart-warming and it really does good for the dogs. Also, please put Nick Offerman on retainer to do it every time. I'm hoping for weekly...?
I was Steven and his people would see this… They need a day at least once a month!
Now do it with elder dogs that have way more trouble getting adopted than puppies
Love the cuteness. Kindly help older dog babies find homes! It’s more difficult and they need homes!!
I adopted a Am staff/Labrador pup 3 months ago from the humane society in my city. I love my little puppy.
I work for a rescue, thank you!!!! But, we have soooo many adult dogs that need forever homes! It would be amazing if you could do some older pups some time :)
I'll watch that all day. Especially if it was older dogs -- who are actually BETTER than puppies:))
These are so adorable - we have a rescue dog (she is now ours) who came to us last year as a foster - we also have a foster Pablo looking for his fur-ever home so don’t forget the dogs who are not puppies - older dogs need love too
Please make this a more regular segment!!! Can even do senior or disabled dogs! I would watch this every day!!
Absolutely adorable. Who are the 8 persons who gave it a thumbs down?? Show yourselves!!
Cat lovers.
17 people who are confused
@@ToniHunterOne I'm a cat lover and I liked the video. Sure, I prefer cats but I still like dogs, I just wouldn't want to own one. I love visiting my friend's dog.
Stephen, puppies almost always get adopted. Please bring on the older and disabled dogs that actually need the help.
Nick didn't build them a new pen from Mesopotamian sandalwood? Disappointed.
Lol perfect 😁
Nick is so good at lying, he called Millie and Trixie girls.
In fact, the only puppy whose gender he didn't lie about was Brad. I guess Offerman wanted to test how many viewers would pick up it.
@@DragonFae16 nah, Nick is a poser. He really hates dogs and you can tell this by his facial expression in the videos thumbnail
@@disastermaster1413 I was wondering, but he still played along really well; except the idea of putting a hand under the dog - where you get your stamps licked!
@@disastermaster1413 I love dogs but I hate being licked on the face, so I give him props for letting the puppy lick him.
@DisasterMaster
Nick got a chef's kiss ❤
The real heroes are the people that were able to put those customs on the dogs.
Thanks Stephen & Nick, sadly this could be done everyday around the US. Please be responsible loving pet owners. Forever friends should be just that, forever!
i love this segment so much but please feature senior dogs!! they need the air time more bc they’re so much harder to place in homes than puppies are!!
is no one gonna address the cuteness overload of Millie's lil velociraptor blep?! 🥹😭😩
2:37
Would love to see you feature less adoptable dogs, those that have a hard time finding homes.
They're so adorable and devastatingly cute. Awww
Dogs are the finest beings on the planet.
This is great! So proud of you for using your platform for this worthy and loving cause. ❤
You guys are wonderful for doing this. Please do a senior dogs edition
OMGosh the postal doggie! 😭
Rescue Dog Rescue is always my favorite segment. Dog > People.
I call for Keith's immediate full time hire! He belongs with the crew! Magic
Loved him best of all. He’d be a bloody good mate!
Love this! Please have a senior dog edition!
From one National Treasure to Another!!
MY FAVOURITE EPISODES.....THANK YOU COLBERT🥰🥰🥰🥰 YOU THE GOAT OF NIGHT SHOWS
That's some down home, handcrafted, inlaid mother of pearl with the Swanson family shellac cuteness 🙌
What a great way to wake up, listening and watching Stephen and Nick loving on some puppies.
So, so good. These 2 men are national treasures. : )
Please work with adult or senior dogs also.
I honestly think Nick needs to keep the chef they had a very good introduction it was too cute thanks for sharing guys it was adorable I really wish I could have the Elmo LOL
Punctuation, please.
Thank you for using your platform to help animals find their forever home. I worked at a shelter and know how many animals are in desperate need of homes. Thank you again!!!
These puppies are so adorable! Come on New York and rescue them from ever having to wear a costume again!
HYSTERICAL! 🤣 And, of course, ADORABLE! 🥰
You do know most rescue dogs aren't puppies.
Nick cleans up well!!!
Those dogs are adorable!
You have it backwards! Dogs clean up well
That nick is adorable

Haven’t watched yet….can I like this a billion times!!!!!!!!!
Just adopted a kitty this week. Didn't see her for 2 days. She was under my bed. Now Hattie is my velcro kitty. Good work Stephen and Nick. Love both of these guys laughs!😝
Trixie is SO adorable!
I'm glad I'm seeing some of them are a little older dawgies!! They are harder to get adopted!! But really start getting older dawgies so they can be adopted!!
I wish they would do some older, less cute dogs that would have a hard time getting adopted otherwise
I mean older dogs are still plenty cute
Dear Stephen Colbert, if you ever need anyone to help you get dogs adopted and can't find a famous person, please contact me! I love the segment that you do and that you help out dogs. Keep doing what you're doing!!
They are so crazy cute🍼🍼🍼🍼❤️🥰🥰❤️❤️🥰🥰🥰🥰🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶
Senior doggos!!! Senior doggos!!!
WHY WAS I IN TEARS THIS WHOLE SEGMENT?!!! DEAR GOD I WANT A PUPPER!!!
Let us see some senior dogs, dogs without a paw or an eye, dogs with special needs, dogs that are on a kill list, or at least adult dogs! Pretty please!
They should send a cat through as a running joke like they did in one of the earliest of these segments.
watching this after day 3 of despair at Russia’s invasion of Ukraine to lift my spirits. It worked!
Aaaaaaand that’s how Trixie got adopted first….. 😍😂
Millie!
Cuteness overload!🥰❤
The last puppy 🐶 🐕 ❤❤❤❤😍😍😍😍
Omg Stephen ! I want to bring these little babies to my farm!!!
OMG I want the Dracula dog! This segment made my heart melt
Nick is super funny, even let's the dogs lick his face. The postal carrier outfit is adorable. Who knew a dog could lick your stamps?
Trixie has good taste. Nick Offerman is one fine ass man. Go Meghan!
I love you guys thank you!!!!!!!
Oh thank you!!! Please, PLEASE keep this up!!
@Love at first sight. 6:22 Nicked his love. Love of friendship. What a intuition. get a Dog. They make you Responsible...in getting out of bed to get out of it.
That would have been my cue to say yeah....this one not available!
This is an amusing, intelligent and charitable segment. More celebrities should take on worthwhile efforts like this.
When are you gonna do rescue cat rescue
Brad!!! The postal dog! So cute!!!
Do a kitten/cat edition while simultaneously emphasizing how important it is for everyone to spay/neuter to prevent unwanted litters!
Me, just now realizing Nick Offerman is Axe Cop: ... Glorious!
My grandparents have a dog named Ruby to. He’s a boy, but still so cute and lovable! 🥰❤️
Lovely, much love! Love the dogs!
Can this be a weekly segment pls
Nick is just soooooooo cool 😎
Awww. great segment huhu. older / adult dogs/pets next time pls!!!
Little Millie with his tongue out looked awesome and cute, those pups should have no trouble finding forever homes. Like some of the other comments have said they should do this with the older dogs, they have a much harder time finding a new home while the puppies will each have lots of homes offered to them. Hopefully, once the pups are gone, people who call might go for an older dog instead. I have a little dog (a female Jack russell) and am sure that I will have a rescue dog next instead of a new puppy.
Wouldn't a female Jack Russell be a Jane Russell?
@@ericminch We call them Jill, like Jack and Jill, but I like Jane too, my fur baby is called Judy (I rescued her from a family member so I kept her name as she knows who she is)
Adorable and a great cause!👍👏🏻
We “rescued” two of our dogs from people at the Walmart parking lot. They have turned out great. Take them straight to the vet, and remember there is no such thing as a free puppy.
This is so awesome
thankyou Mr. Offerman funny as hell
