I see a lot of high walls with no sheathing. And y’all had trusses up! Even if a boom truck hit it. That should have been a solid structure before moving up. Very happy these guys survived.
Sheathing the walls would have prevented this. Looks like the Job didn't have the budget for Journeyman level of education. Anyone can swing a hammer but, this holds true to the saying "a little bit of knowledge is dangerous". Pay the Right Crews and you won't have a folly such as this. Pay the right consultant to set you job up and you won't make the news.
OSHA - please make a rule, dont work in conditions exceeding 90 degrees Fahrenheit. I drank enough water and took necessary 5 minute breaks after 1 - 2 hours of work and I still got light headed from California heat.
This is an example of poor safety implementation. The structural engineering has its purpose. Otherwise, wood structures are far better than concrete, steel ones.
