In this season of RICK AND MORTY, Rick offered to clone Beth so that she could live her fullest life while having a Beth Clone remain behind for her children. But the episode ended ambiguously, leaving us to ask if she took Rick up on this offer. So did she clone herself and ditch her family to explore the cosmos? Well, Loyal Theorists, there is actually a definitive answer to this question hidden within the episode, and I have found it!

I cut this out of the episode, but I'm seeing this question show up in the comments, so let me clarify:
- The clock in the garage is ALWAYS stuck at that time in every scene you see it, at least in this episode. So the time it reads can't be used as a part of putting together an accurate timeline of events. Good job looking out for it, though!
literally just about to comment this
Hi
Keep it up! Great series
What about the plot hole where the kids are at school during the episode?
The Film Theorists also if you pause the scene where Beth looks at the fridge the magnets spell out STAY
I think the end scene Beth is real, but she is being cloned at that moment. This is her last meal with her family, that's why she's giving an affectionate goodbye.
makes sense
Good idea!
I completely agree. She could've stayed until the clone was ready around 9:30. The fact that she's still in the house prior to that proves nothing.
exactly. i was gonna comment this but you did the work so i'm gonna leave a like on your comment.
Oh shit that's actually good
"Real or Clone?"
Rick and Morty: Yes.
Clone
*yes*
espacially after season 4 final episode, the whole "Is Beth a clone" stuff is so confusing!
she can still be real or a clone at this point in time XP
imma destroy your likes to 667
Here's another theory: They made the clone afterwards and they were overly affectionate because they knew they'd never see each other again
I thought of that aswell
No that's ingeneus since at the end of season 4 it shows the clone and the real Beth in those Captuls
later with space beth it shows that beth was cloned later yes but the real best seems to be home
You've got a good point there
Double theory: we know Rick keeps clones around like a junk drawer of backup jump drives you keep forgetting to throw out. Who is to say Rick didn’t make the Beth clone ahead of time, knowing this was a proposition he was offering her and not wanting to make her wait if her true calling was to leave? He could have had that clone germinating while they went to the penitentiary and it was ready whenever she was
It’s hilarious how we still don’t know who’s the real Beth 3 years later
Turns out it is neither
yeah but we know that a clone was made, so the creators probably weren't doing any of this on purpose
in the pocket morty app space beth is named "clone beth"
Spoilers
@@phoenixcrown9966 Huh?
i can't believe they called that episode "the abc's of beth" instead "the alphabeth"
Ikr
Lol
That could imply that it's a show about the first Beth "alpha-beth" which would also imply that the Beth at the end was a clone
Well then it wouldnt be a reference to abcs of death anymore
@Jittery Jared Yep, was gonna say the same thing. Many of the episodes' names (if not all) are references to movies, And this one is a reference to the collaboration film "The Abcs of Death"
"We don't mess with time"
*Stops time for 6 months*
Kayla Exactly, they didn’t change or alter it
I record with a phone they did break it, tho.
They messed with time on the first episode. Morty's legs and broken and Rick goes to get some miraculous syrum. Rick is gone for a few seconds but he tells a story of going to a dimension where people don't age. He spent so much time there that his portal gun ran out of charge.
thats the furthess they're willing to go
@@gurujot951 or the dimension he went to aka Planet he ended up on was close to a large gravitational force causing gravitational time dilation.
Matpat: Makes a interesting theory
Adult swim: Yeah, about that.
Obviously the S4 finale settles things, but I'm surprised that nobody pointed out that executions are usually carried out in the middle of the night, so the clock in the execution chamber could have been at 2am rather than pm.
Yeah it really shows how lazy these guys are with their research
I mean its a simple mistake is all
@@shanemcdowell6722 you can't always think of everything bro simple mistakes happen
@@user-jf6zu8gv4h they do realize this happened during season 3 right...?

Answer: Yes
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Except we still don't know who the clone is.
Because MatPat is always so dead on in his predictions.....
So many people came here just because of the season 4 finale
I did
Same
Sad ending bro
Same
Is season 4 over?
He realizes Beth could just still be filling as in her normal mother role while she waits for her clone to grow and then leave the next day right.
I though that exact same thing
E
Or they just waited till the next day to even start cloning. That seems to be what happened considering Beth and clone Beth were both in tubes being shuffled in the season 4 finally.
I hight doubt that. the clone woulda been ready an hour after they started eating and she seems way to happy to be with her family
I think the people who made the show were trying to hint at the fact that it wasn’t a clone
There's one small detail you didn't consider. It doesn't really matter which is the clone and which is the original since that's not even Rick's Beth. Keep in mind that Beth's Rick and Morty are dead and buried in the backyard while Rick's Beth was left behind in a world populated by monsters. Thanks a lot Morty! You and your love potion!
I mean, to be fair it's both their faults.
Firstly, a love potion in itself would've already been a violation. You're forcing them to be in love with you and make out with you without their consent. While Morty was still young and probably too immature to realize that, it's still messed up.
And secondly, it is his Grandfather's fault for not even thinking about that or caring. He didn't care about the repercussions, he just gave his grandson a love potion. And lastly, he was the one to make it from the begining and made things worse in the end.
It's like giving a kid a gun when they ask for it, they're both sort of at fault but really the adult should've been the most responsible therefore it really is just Rick's fault in the end. He's been too reckless with everyone too.
But yeah, I do agree lol. It doesn't even matter because none of these Beths are probably even his.
Eee wrong that Beth is their real beth and the beth they killed was also their real Beth because keep in mind when they shifted realities they didnt use interdimentional travel but rather the many worlds theory travel where different realities are created of the same universe everytime there is a decision to be made where reality splits to create all infinite possibilities. Ps( Secondly rick doesnt know which beth is real beth therefore the creators also dont know which beths the original...they cant because they literally created an episode depicting that there is no way to know...so all that they do know is that they dont know)
oh my god you blew my mind
@@tempgangster4952 It also makes sense that it doesn't even matter which Beth is which since Rick C137's beth died as a child anyway when Rick was presented with the portal gun for the first time.
@@shlorpian9863 That was a fake memory he made up to escape prison.
Knowing rick he could’ve already made the clone then asked her
He explained it to her like he's already done it several times before. So I wouldn't surprise me if you're right
Yeah your right
i had the same idea the moment the time issue was mentioned, and my thoughts continued to the point of there being a room with backups of the whole family incase one or more die and he doesn't want to leave the dimension.
@@liamnehren1054 A good idea, but if he had clones he wouldn't have had to create the android versions of Summer and Morty for episode 2 when they wanted to stay in the post-apocalyptic world
I thought it was a reminder rick couldve cloned rick a buncha times, and this is why beth is always so depressed, the healthy beths leave and die
...soul bonding has a completely different meaning now
“How about a quick Hand bond" xD
I was thinking the same thing.. gross
I was waiting for this comment to appear
I thought that it was from that episode and I’m like u know wat dat means right Ima tell ur wife
🤢
When you realise the final episode of season 4 destroys this theory
Yea fr 😂
Not exactly, from THAT scene it could still be original beth, they could did it afterwards or even meanwhile that same scene, i dont remember if beth from season 4/5 gives us a date she maked her clone
When you also realised that the rick and morty mobile game proves his theory
I think space Beth is a clone and the earth Beth is real, like matpat said.
@@koramawin6134 it’s most likely true, considering the pocket mortys game literally called space beth “clone beth”
that moment when you come back 5 years later to know space beth
“You’re not a clone. The gun’s for jerry”
Andromeda Lps
that’s what you would say to a clone
Technically Rick didn’t say, “you’re not a clone.” He said, “You are my daughter.” Which means he didn’t say she isn’t a clone, he is just stating that she is still his daughter even if a clone.
The very reason that she changes to being more chill proves that she is real
@@Kaidorah he already said earlier she isnt really his daughter, he left her behind on earth c137, remember?
And Rick never lies?
I know this theory is solved. But even back then: What about this possibility: Beth decided to clone herself. But only after a last meal with her family. "To say goodbye". This could solve the time thingy and explain, why she and her father where so emotional.
Great theory except for one thing, the scene where Beth and Rick are affectionate and its daylight outside is Monday afternoon: we see earlier in the episode Jerry pulling both the kids out of school because Kiara was hunting them. (I realise this comment is super late and we're in season 5 now but I've been rewatching the whole show and just picked up on this!)
Or...
She decided to have one more dinner with her kids before she left, and was affectionate with Rick because she knew she would have to leave soon once the clone was ready (which was being made during the time they had dinner)
Then, she could sneak out later at night, Rick could replace her with a clone, and no one but them would be the wiser.
But that's just a theory.
A COMMENT THEORY
AND CUT.
HEYYYYY ARE YOU A CLOJE ACCOUNT OF MATPAT BECAUSE ONLY HE CAN SAY A ___ THEORY AND CUT! 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
Truuuuuuuue
purple lion rick wouldve killed her in the episode after because she becomes self aware, which is impossible because its a clone and if it did happen rick would have killed her
Yea but the theory is if she's a clone in that scene.
not that is going to be replaced
purple lion much better than the actual video that took too fucking long just to say yea she didn’t leave 😐
It’s really obvious that she’s not a clone. Rick litteraly says “0% chance of going blade runner” so when Beth went bladerunner, it proved that she is real
xd_Phoenix exactly the thing you say to a clone to implant a fear of running off
Алмазный Пёс but if you were rick, would you really give the clone the option to think that? Or just take the thought out of her brain entirely.
@@smo_phoenix You wouldn't give the clone Beth's memory of asking to be cloned in the first place. Simple.
Rick also said he’s never tortured multiple Morty’s in the past, but there’s evidence ????
Visplight exactly
4:01 i love how that clip is the BIGGEST type of representation for the tri cities lol
Watching this in 2022 is really awkward
Knowing Rick he has clones ready for all the family....lol
My thought exactly!
True
As demonstrated by the "cards" or "sleeves" of Morty seen in a part of the intro. Those could be construed as clones.
Well we did figure out he had several clones of himself from the Tiny Rick episode so yeah its definitely possible.
Geometricsolitude well I mean he did have robots
Rick said the clone would never become self aware.
If Beth was a clone, Rick would’ve made it so she didn’t remember the conversation about potentially cloning herself (and thus she wouldn’t be possibly able to become self-aware).
SlickNickP when did he say that
@@poopoo69000 he didn't, but Rick's smart, so why would he purposefully make it so he's have to deal with clone Beth questioning whether she's real or not. Wouldn't it make a lot more sense to keep the clone unaware of what's happened before, so that it's easier for Rick
Unless rick wants her to realise she is a clone
Remember when Rick made clones of Summer, Morty, and himself for Beth. And they were having dinner and before they left to be shut down Morty started to become self aware and was powered down. Same story maybe.
@@electrolaurel580 They were robots, and RoboMorty was breaking free of his programming. They all knew they were robots
Hey Matpat, I'm pretty new to your channel and I love your stuff. I just wanted to point out a couple of things that could lead to clone Beth.
1) I've seen a lot of comments about Morty getting picked up from school by Jerry and Summers; which could mean the kids were with Jerry for an extended weekend, and thus messing up the timeline
2) Assuming your timeline is accurate, the closing scene could have been Beth's personal "goodbye" to her family while the clone finishes developing
Personally I agree with your theory she is the "original", but I wanted to point-out two more potential variables to the theory.
"Eeh, sorry Hans. Do you wanna go for Double Jeopardy where the numbers can really change?" -John McLane, Die Hard
Yippee ki-yay, Squancher.
I think the clone wasnt done yet so beth wanted to have one last meal with her family thats why she said i love you to Rick and him to her

Respawn517 season 2 episode 1
It kind of makes sense why Beth would be so affectionate after a conversation like that, especially considering she picked to stay and not go into space she may have been feeling a little emotional
This didn't age well, with the latest season...
What if Beth just wanted to have a positive time with her father and kids before she went out in to space. The clone could be in the garage developing as she is at the table, that could explain why she was saying that she loved rick, she was hugging him and being so loving maybe because she will never see him again........

@Luke Burger A FILM THEORY
@@blessedisyou and cut
But i mean it still means that was still beth lol
Good theory dude
I thought this when I saw the episode. Hes right that was Beth but that was the last time we saw her. #shesaclone
When fighting toxic rick, rick created a perfect clone if himself in meere seconds. He took the slow way to spend some time with his daughter
The "Perfect Clone" guns use the "lifeforce" of another creature to grow quickly [or alternatively: There is only a 50% chance of it working at all -> it is only for inminent death (99.99% chance of dying the next minute)].
clone gender is a madlab
The mistake was that Rick and Beth were probably in a hurry to save the guy from being electrocuted so they took Ricks spacecraft
I watched this 5 years later it's season 5 and I'm pretty sure we still don't know if beth or space beth is the clone
A week later, now we know
Beth is real, otherwise why would Rick implanted a memory about the conversation they had about cloning process? Rick might be a crazy erratic gramp, but he is definitely not stupid
He can also remove memory and keep memory, like in Morty Mindblower episode
That scene was definitely still the real Beth, if there is a clone, it probably wouldn't have that memory.
He would so that the clone would think she DECIDED to stay home. This would prevent the situation from coming up again.

I just watched the whole series for the first time, and now I'm watching all these old theories. :)
In the garage rick has a box that reads "Time travel stuff". Can someone explain that because mat just said that they don't use time travel at all
What if she's being affectionate because her clone is in the process of being created. So the pizza is her 'last supper' before a lifetime of freedom and adventure.
Great idea!
Makes sense

Dan Simons I agree
Dan Simons That's what I was thinking!
BUT BUT JERRY TOOK SUMMER AND MORTY OUT OF SCHOOL! IT COULDN'T HAVE BEEN THE WEEKEND!
That's true
Isagail oh that's true
Maybe it was club related event?
Isagail and guess who still gets to monetize this video even though he's wrong
Summer school ?
I've only recently watched a few Rick & Morty adventures so I may be missing something blatant, but: if space Beth decided to stay with her family for a little more time before deciding her fate or if space Beth simply to continue being mother until the clone was finished, that could make up the time difference. Also, another clone Beth could 1) take much less time because the original is present also 2) likely a clone Beth is already in a cryotube awaiting activation. And it is extremely likely both 1 & 2 are true. Remember it's unlikely that Rick would choose to inform Beth he has ready clones of each family member. So your theory is based on weak premises. Sorry, I'm an ex-scientist. We help each other out by critiquing eachother's theories. I'm sure the writer's are much better at creating alternative narratives.
PS I'm believe space Beth is the more likely original, but that doesn't mean that space Beth is the original space Beth. Perhaps space Beth died & Rick created another to avenge the original space Beth's murderer.
Clone; There are holes in your timeline.
what if the beth we see at the end of the episode is in fact the real beth, but later switches out with a clone when it is ready on hour later?
good point, they're acting that way at the end of the episode to make everything seem normal until the next day, where beth is replaced by a clone.
It would give Beth a chance to see her kids before she leaves
It would make alot of sense. She would want to see her kids at least, one last time.
what if she was having her last dinner with her family before she goes on her adventure
saniz nah cause the next episode she thought she was the clone but if she really was the clone rick wouldn’t have made her remember the conversation of her possibly being cloned
And rick said there is no chance that the clone would become aware so if it was the clone she wouldn’t have known about the possibility of being a clone but since it was the real Beth she thought she was the clone
yeah I think she was just being paranoid and isn’t aware that Rick can alter memories and straight up erase them and put them in tubes anytime he felt like it
Copycat
Slim Reaper if she was the real Beth, she would have no doubt know she’s the real Beth. Her and the clone would have the same memory to the point Rick would take her DNA to clone her, there would be a memory lapse between that time and her being cloned... which mean the clone Beth would know she thought about it but wouldn’t know if the real Beth left or not. Only the real Beth would know if she stayed and wouldn’t have any doubt she left as she has no memory lapse... the fact that the current Beth isn’t sure if she is the clone or not, proves she is missing the memory of what she did after she made the decision..... the current Beth is a clone and even Rick told Beth that they are both a like... and we all know Rick left the family and Beth did too.
Bro I got an ad with you in it right when I was about to watch your video
I just noticed, even after the season 4 finale. We still didn't know which one is the clone because we didn't get to see the machine stop when switching the Beth's.
2 things not mentioned:
Rick mentions daylights savings happened
Jerry takes the kids out of school before returning them
or the creators don't put in that much thought
No, in total agreement. The kids timeline doesn’t match with what matpat put up.
Johnny Stevens we are here to over analyze, good sir, and everyone is working under the assumption, I feel, that the creators DO put that much thought into it. Rick and Morty has always been a show that cares about the small details, after all.
@@johnnystevens1063 are I ok? They dont put in much thought? Bruh
Was gonna comment exactly this
What if beth was just really happy and light hearted having and enjoying her last meal with the kids before she goes and the clone replaces her
I didn't even consider that, it could still technically be a clone from now on then, good thought.

Just subed, love ur content
Now that this has been technically been disproved (cause beth DIDN'T choose) I wanna see him try to figure out who's real between space beth and domestic beth lol
Nope! Huge problem! The kids are back in school when Jerry warns them his ex is out to kill them.
Yup, I was gonna say that. Also, his fucking voice is annoying as hell.
*mind blown* your right!!
I was about to point this out so....where does that fit in
So... this is either a continuity error or they were late on going to their dad like more than a day (episode starts sunday).
yeah but the day with Jerry is on Sunday and the day he worns is the next day making it monday during school
Her behavior makes more sense after you see the next episode. Rick explained how smart people don't recognize themselves when they're happy. Beth was happy in the final scene because she was able to *choose* that lifestyle. Rick has always had a soft spot for Beth (remember the pancake scene in the 1st episode), so it's not too out of character for him to return an "I love you".
I love your videos but I have a few holes that people can perhaps answer. In WA state one of the biggest companies is Boeing. There are so many workers that it influences traffic. Boeing workers on 1st shift get off work at 2pm and that would make it impossible to get home in 4 hrs. Also it stays light out in late June till after 10.
Its still hillarious how we STILL dont know who the real beth is 5 years later

Hey guys I've been working on my gaming channel and i would love it if you could just stop by to check it out. I really want my fan base to grow and I really think you will enjoy my content. Thanks!
The other main hole is that it was already Monday. Saturday: Rick and Beth arc find Froopy land while Morty and Summer arc go to Jerry's. Morty, Summer and Jerry get sushi (Saturday). To celebrate the end of the hunt Sunday they will celebrate with another hunt. Sunday ends in the car. Monday Morty and Summer are pulled from school. The show was showing Beth and Rick from Saturday to Sunday and Morty and Summer from Saturday to Monday. There is an entire day that was free on the Rick and Beth arc and thats enough to make a clone.

After watching season 4 I think the clone Beth is the one who went off into space. She has an interesting scar on her eye which reminds me of the Rick clones on the Citadel (The ones who were reporting the news). It's possible that scar was caused due to the wars she's fought in but a design like that would seem deliberate. Sure Rick doesn't know but perhaps the creators of the show wanted to put that subtle detail in there as a hint to the audience. But hey that's just a theory. A comment theory.

@@Jayinbed Yes, but the news anchors are Rick D716 (who doesn’t have a scar) and Rick D716-B (who does have a scar) meaning that second one could be a clone and also @Marraer When you see the two clones floating in the cloning tank neither has a scar. So maybe clones develop scars overtime
Well this guy did a lot of work. Went down a rabbit hole with the ⏰️ and was wrong. We still don't know which Beth is which.
1 thing: I've lived in the far northwest of Washington for 8 years now. Canada is literally a stones throw from my home and the ocean is also a stones throw away from me. I've seen it still bright out by 10pm. Many times. Just because a piece of paper, or web page, says sunset is one time doesn't mean it's dark out. I've also seen it say sunrise is 7:15am, but I'm assaulted by sunlight by 5am. They're 100% wrong 100% of the time when it comes to sunrise/sunset in this area.
Wait.. One problem, isn't there? The kids are at school on the day this all unfolds. When their father tries to break up with the alien he has to rush to school in order to save their lives. Which means they're on a Monday.. Which means the cloning took place Monday, not Sunday on execution day. Well technically it could have taken place Sunday, but the scene that we see is on a Monday. Meaning we skipped a night.
FUCKKKKK thats right!! i hope Matt sees this and gives an explanation. Good call on this one
I think the same thing. For all the talk about time and dates MatPat overlooks one of the most obvious things. I think Beth did really got to bed after they got back from the Execution but then the next day asks her Father while the Kids are at school, this would leave them more then enough time to clone Beth as the other three are running away from an alien all day.
Shinjiji or the whole theory needs to be shifted from Sat-Sun to Sun-Mon. Maybe they were a whole day "late" for Jerry and Rick didn't care until he needed to talk to Beth alone.
I thought of that as well! I think MatPat's timeline is off
MATT LOOK HERE
If Beth was a clone, Rick would’ve made sure that the memory of the conversation ( of cloning )was wiped off so that the clone would never suspect her existence
Klr Rabbit he's not perfect, he makes several mistakes and overlooking trough the seasons, the Chronenberg shit happened because Rick forgot to warn about the flu to Morty and the same thing happened in the squirrel case. He can think he is so perfect sometimes to be extra careful and that could be the case to Clone Beth
If he had wiped it off, then the clone would have the existential crisis again, and thus he would have to make another clone, it would make no sense at all. He can't wipe any memory off in order for the clone to be like Beth and not realize something is wrong.
the clone might've been pickled like the clones in the tiny rick episode
seems like what no one's noticed or mentioned, in the middle of the episode while summer n morty are supposedly "jerry's for the weekend", Morty was in the middle of class when Jerry came to get him when that space girl was after him
My canon is that Beth took the offer and the cloning was happening as they were at the dinner, so the reason Rick and Beth were more affectionate in that instance because they knew they wouldn’t see each other for long time
the show already revealed what happened
@@testtest-je8xb but they don’t reveal how it happened, they just say that there’s a clone Beth, but there’s no explanation for how Beth was cloned
That soul-bonding bit gets a lot more serious after season 4
ahh yes

Dragon and morty
The real question is : does it even matter?
Clone Beth and Beth from another dimension are basically the same
And the Beth we watched is not even the original Beth in C137
I think it matters to Beth. Because if she is not a clone in the next episode, that means that she willfully stayed with her family, even when she's offered the choice. This adds much value to her commitment to the family. Before this episode, she often doubted whether keeping Summer and not have an abortion was a good idea.
It matters a lot because every clone that Rick created is always not accurate it behaves so different than original
Xuriken it matters because Ricks mentioned that he was going to “turn off the clone with 0 chances of going blade runner”, wich means that if she is a clone she would evenually be killed
it still kinda fucks me up that everyone except for rick and morty is actually just a replacement and morty's original family are all kronenbergs
This is perhaps the most non-imaginative suggestion, and I find it frustrating.
Even though we know that she choose rick to choose he probably choose her to stay because in the later seasons he gets more attached to his "family".
the clone was the one that abandoned the family or whatever
i know this because pocket mortys said that that was "clone beth"
There's an easy way to explain how Rick had enough time to clone Beth before sunset: Beth speeds.
The distance between Seattle and Walla Walla is all interstate and only takes 4 and a half hours if you're going 60 (which no one ever does on the interstate). If we push it and say Beth is reckless enough to go 90, that cuts the drive time down to 3 hours, shaving off an hour and a half.
Or she probably got cloned after the pizza which is what I think actually happened since Beth’s cloning seemed more complicated than Tommy’s according to the Season 4 finale montage 🤷♂️
Or maybe just teleported the whole car lmao
Yeah I mean, they were in a hurry to end an execution.
I'm pretty sure the show ended on a Monday. Jerry did grab Morty and Summer out of school.
Also Rick did mention something about daylight savings at the end so some of those analog clocks might of been behind because no one changed them, not sure if that changes anything but maybe its something to look into?
Jerry DID grab them out of school, that means it's monday and it means there's been almost a day to clone Beth. Seems like FT missed a spot.
Looking back at it they can’t all be bangers
I am so happy to be watching this after the other episode where we get the answer
If Rick was to make a clone , he could have easily erased the memory of the conversation about cloning, thats why there was a mindblowers episode before
+cyka blyat but how would the clone ever go as far as to be convinced that she is a clone if her memory of the possibility that a clone of Beth could exist was erased?
cyka blyat she did..
Executions usually occur in the middle of the night... doesn't it change the math if the execution was occurring at 2AM?
Donnie Ray Sharp oh my god
My thoughts exactly. Thank you I thought I was the only one.
Thanks I wasn’t the only one
Then the kids would already have been home from seeing Jerry.
@@SynneDennis all my custody weekends and all the people I've ever known to have had custody weekends, begins on friday after school and come home sunday...yknow...to spend the weekend with the other parent. Why would they arrive there at night on saturday only to sleep and then hang out for a few hours the next day...?
What if Rick used to portal gun to teleport the car back cause we all know Rick ain't gonna sit through no 4 hour drive
2:39 ah I see you are a man of culture as well
UNLESS she's acting really affectionate because she knows it's only a couple of hours until her clone is ready and she knows it's the last supper she's having with her dad
Sam Gotter genius
That's pretty good. :)
That's what I was thinking...
Sam Gotter you just blew my mind
Sam Gotter give me 100 subscribe please please please!!!
so we know that the real Beth was at the end of an episode but did you ever think that the real beth said i love to rick because he was cloning her at that second and she was getting ready to leave with one last supper
I don't think it was the real Beth, MatPat missed one very massive clue that shatters his entire theory and that is the fact that the kids went to school. I'm no expert on school nowadays, but I'm almost certain that Sunday School is a religious thing, not a public school thing, and the whole Smith family doesn't seem very religious. So the reality is that if the execution happened on a Sunday, there is an entire day between Beth making her decision and the kids finally coming home. My theory on how it really plays out, the kids go to Jerry's on Saturday and stay the two nights, then go to school Monday morning and home after school. What this means for the theory is that if they went to school, it had to be Monday, meaning they returned home Monday night, not Sunday. Meanwhile, Beth and Rick cloned Tommy and returned Sunday evening where they end with her making the decision and then skipping to Monday evening after the kids returned from Jerry's, or school if they chose to go back. So you have a whole day in which Rick could clone Beth if she wanted to. Further cementing this is the restaurant Arnoldo's being closed, which is a common practice of many small restaurants to close on Monday which is often the slowest day of business while Sunday they open due to it being a weekend and much of their business comes from weekends.
They had said that Arnoldos was close because of daylights savings. Meaning time was pushed back or forward 1 hour. So it was possible they were just closed because it was late.
Jam Masterjam THATS WHAT I WAS THINKING!!!
Maybe just MAYBE Rick has some spare clones of his 'complete' family lying around like he did with his clones in the tiny rick episode.
Jam Masterjam I agree whole heartedly. I don't think Beth is the original at the end of the season.
As a person who lives in the outskirts of Seattle, north in fact. The days can bright for a really long time, I think the longest I remember was 10:30ish
HOW HAS IT ALREADY BEEN 6 YEARS
