"Workin' on mysteries without any clues"
90s kid and I'm convinced when it comes to meaningful soulful music the 70s must have been the peak of human culture. I love this music so much <3 :)

One the greatest American pop songs ever composed and sung.... Thank you Bob Seger.
I was seventeen when a girl i knew played and sang this with her guitar she was really good at this song ....took me a minute to catch on but she was actually suggesting something...lol great times indeed.
Dear Mr. Seger, I love you. Most Sincerely, Gayle Raye Bremer
This song reminds me of the summer of 1984, when I was in high school and sitting in the back of my Cinema class because I joined late. I sat next to a bookcase, and I read so many classics that year. My favorite became Other Voices, Other Rooms by Truman Capote. It's set in the south, in the summer. There's so many beautiful scenes in that book, and when this song quiets down and speaks of the night and thunder, I'm reminded of that book, the summer of 1984, and how everything about that year was a whole world unto itself.
Those of us in the know can say he is an immortal because of his music 💪👌
I'm gonna be honest. This video inspires me to listen to the song over and over. Beautifully created.
This song used to haunt me. A jinx song. Got stopped one night and it was on the radio. A week later, I heard it 4 times in one day and got stopped and went to jail. Every time I that heard this song, I knew bad news was sure to follow. I finally got right with God and this song quit haunting me. I always thought it was a great song, just bad mojo tied to it. Now I can play it and enjoy it without fear. We miss you Bob. I got to see you a few years before you retired in Tulsa. Definitely a concert that I would go to again.
