#BobSeger #StillTheSame - Hudba
Met Bob when I worked at a grocery store in Michigan about 12 or so years ago. I was 20 something at the time and I couldn't believe it was him shopping for veggies. I politely said hello and that I didn't want to bother him but that I am a huge fan of his music, and he took the time to talk with me and take a picture with me. Truly a wonderful man, I was conceived the night after my parents went to a concert of his, so I had to thank him for my existence.
Bravo 👍😁
March 2024, who’s here?! Glad you are….
Hi from Queensland Australia.
🇦🇺🦘🦘🦘
Never left...I am 70
Here, this song has been weighing on my heart. I heard it from my mama. Searched think it was joe cocker...couldn't find. Put lyrics into Search...mthaeffing this guy. I love him and all you
Still the same my friend!!
This girl from Canada is still the same at 62, as I was at 18... Loved Bob Seger back then and I still love him now. His voice is awesome!!!!!!
Still here listening to the greatest in 2024. The good ol days. They don't make em like this anymore. ❤
This man not only sang great songs, he wrote them.. talent like that is rare...
From the LP " Stranger in Town", should be in the ROR.
Please check out Lord Huron 💚
Not rare insomuch as not promoted or celebrated in our society. Fame is a lie.
Especially today my friend 😊😊.
Prince has entered the chat.....
Bob Segar. In the 70s probably the most underrated r&r man preforming.
As a huge classic rock guy. There is nothing more comforting than Bob Seger giving it live. He is a legend.
The two bands that come close? Eagles and CCR.
Not bad company Bob.....
@@trippinout. id add neil young & crazy horse to that group
Thanks for some beautiful memories, Bob.
72 yr old here saw him a couple of yrs ago in The Woodlands, TX. Still the same rocker. 3rd time seeing him. Awesome
This is, in fact, the greatest song of all time
Something just made me come here. Yes we’re still the same 😌❤️😁
Oh Bob Seger!! You’re Still the Same all these years later. I’ve seen Bob Seger 8 times in concert in 8 different states!! There is no other! He’s a true Rock and Roll Legend! Love ❤️ you Bob Seger!!!
Patty Caruso, Lake City, FL
His joy in playing, that beautiful smile, the long, gorgeous hair. Oh, this was a moment!
I think he realized that he make it.
❤🎉❤🎉❤🎉lived his MUSIC forever!!!!!
February 2024..... Still Listening and loving the song.... ENID 🌹🌹🌹🌹
❤❤❤❤🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
I know Bob Seger
He wrote this song about me ❤
I'm 62 and still think he's the GOAT! Great time to grow up in music!
I’m 64, and there is nothing like that today 🤘
great album
I’m 69, from Detroit- Saw him many times- He made Detroit PROUD ! ❤️✌🏻
Same age myself and "our" music was is and will always be the greatest ever produced. Lawd how I miss my youth oh but the memories........😊
@@MusicLover-kf3wq We are soooo fortunate !! ✌🏻🇺🇸
Still enjoying Bob's music after all these years. True classics!
A masterpiece. Springsteen could only wish
I miss my youth, there are no concerts like this anymore. 1950-2000 there will never be a better time.
Bob Seger, I'm glad that your music 🎶 🎵 is still the same 🎉🎉. It's not changed and it's still sounding just as good as it did all them years ago.Your music took me on an amazing journey 🎉🎉
I’m 21 and I wish I was 50 thanks to me Seger himself
Would love to go back to those days when music was so darn good! So glad to have grown up in the 70’s with all the best music! I’m 64 now and still love and listen to the music from those days. Love Bob Seger❤
One evening I was jamming to Seger and my dad came in and said "I'll be glad when you outgrow that shit!" That was 50 years ago. Still jamming to Seger.
Lol! Little did he know one does t just outgrow seger
I was much luckier than you! My dad heard me listening to this album in 1979, asked me who it was, and soon after in 1980, took me, my brother, and two friends to Madison Square Garden to see them "Touring Against the Wind"!
Love it!!
Good music isn't a pair of pants. You don't outgrow it.
your Dad shoulda bought another guitar. Taken lessons.
You could let him play Bass.
First time I seen him in concert was in 1975. Seen him 3 times in concert.
Can't afford to go to concerts anymore.
They are to much$$$$$$$
i get chills every time i hear this song. It resonates with me.
Didn't realize 40 45 years ago I was hearing the greatest music and voices of all time, country and Rock and roll, nobody will ever be able to repeat what we all heard first!
"nobody will ever..." Sure seems that way unfortunately.
Forsure
2 years ago my daughter was diagnosed with cancer..I drove up to help her and take her where she had to go and than included playing my Seger CDs. She fell in love with his voice and she continued to listen. She's been gone a year now and think of her when I listen to Seger now
Sorry for the loss of your daughter. I can't imagine the pain😢😢
Man-this cat sounds great live!!!!
Growing up in the 80s I was a huge Bob Seger fan. A few years back my wife surprised me with concert tickets in Pennsylvania (we lived in CT) Road trip great concert and she's been a fan ever since 😂
Damn this dude could sing. So effortless.
I was 5 years old when I first heard this song, I was an abused child, scared, belittled and beaten. Though I didn't understand the words, the music touched my heart to tears
George from one to another. I send a big hug to you!
@@doraponce7146 right back at you sweetheart!! Thank you
+1
These early moments when you realize that out there may be a better life.. 🌱
You survived and maybe Bob Seger helped you survive ❤
I was around 5 years old when I first heard this song as well. It’s connected to me in a different way than yours (this was my dead parent’s favorite song, they passed when I was 10), but just as haunting. I cry almost every time I listen, and I have to be ready to listen. Goosebumps the entire time ❤️🩹 I hope you are doing well friend ❤
Best singer, best songs Best all around ❤
Why do I like how this song sounds?
I was an usher at a music venue and actually got paid to see Bob Seger 3 nights in a row BEST JOB EVER !!!!!!!!
50 years ago and this dude still rocks today! LONG LIVE BOB SEGER!
Amen
Bring handle bar mustaches back!!! He so sexy , always loved him!! Born in 76 and my parents loved him.
I Love and Miss You, Mitchell. Dad You were right, Seger's "Still The Same" Rules!
1981. I was 16 years old must I say more. 👍👍👍👌👌👌✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️
This song reminds me of my Grandpa. Served in Korea and Nam. Got out, worked in the Steel mills. And owned a bar with his buddies. Took me into the bar a got a big ass slim Jim and played air hockey 💪🏻💪🏻😎. Awesome memories!
I bet it was cool as shit in San Diego 1978, and I bet this show was absolutely insane because it is
Mr Bob Seger, sir, you are a true 'Patriot", and..., 'Guardian'.
I love you so much, and..., "Thank you!".
Respectfully, Woody.
I was born in 1977 and this is the music I was raised on!! Especially when I hear Bob Seger, he takes me back to memories of growing up!! I was fortunate to have family that loved good music. His voice and songwriting is pure Gold!!
Same here!
I was born in 1974 but so thankful my dear aunt introduced me to his music along with a few others. We spent so much time driving in her car listening to Bob and singing along. We just lost my aunt last week way too soon. RIP Aunt Claudette ❤
I was 18 years old in '77 and I'm a 64 year old grandma now. And "still the same" after all these years. Rock and Roll from the 60's and 70' was the best. I'm still rocking to these songs except maybe a little bit slower😊. These were the best times to be alive.
The joy of making a living loving what you do.
When I lived in southwest Florida from 2004-2016 my favorite people I met down there were from Detroit. Just saying...
April 2024 in Australia. Still don’t know for sure what this song is about - there are so many theories
His infectious JOY at doing what he loves!
For all you kids - growing up in the 70s was the best EVER!!!!!!!!
The 90’s were pretty cool.
Totally agree it will never fade away great times and great music!!!!!.Brings back memories
I think from the 70s-90s were a golden era to grow up:
-Kids could just be kids
-We could make mistakes that won't get immortalized online
-No computers to keep us from having IRL experiences, but we're young enough to still understand technology
-The music made for us was by people like us, not the best looking social media darlings who have autotune and followers
-Our parents might not have all been perfect but those were the generations that actually started to try and shield their kids from the real world at least until they got their liscence
-There were only so many shows so it was easy to connect with other kids in school about we all watched on Saturday night/Sunday morning
-Nobody was shooting up schools
-Child predators had to work so much harder because they couldn't just chat online with potential victims
-Kids were able to feel like they didn't know everything because it was "on wikipedia" so you actually absorbed information better
-Being a kid when N64 came out was *legendary*
-I'd argue that it was easier to be an individual when you didn't have so many readily available whole personality templates and styles to choose from online.
-70s kids got Sabbath, 80s kids got solo Ozzy, and 90s kids got the Osbournes. Actually, Ozzy still rules
-Discovery Zone
-Playing in the woods from lunch until dark
-Walking to your friends house to knock on their door and ask if they can play
I agree
I thought this was the foo fighters ‘.
OMG baby, I have loved you since I was 15 I'm 66 years old now and I love you then and I love you now ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
He carried the torch of great rock and roll, HOF
This was my dads music .RIP JOEmaciel
Bob your the best. Your the only rocker that I have seen that when he’s not singing he’s smiling. That is the ultimate positive happy rocker I’ve ever had the privilege of watching. Your a roll model and should be something all artist should emulate. All the best to ya from us old Canadian boys.
I am so blessed to be born in the 1960s. Bob seger & the silver bullet band legacy collections- are still living on in 2023. 🫶👍🫡💪💪🎶👏👏👏🎵, sent from 🇬🇧.
I love this song. And this presentation, man, simply a state of art! ❤🎉
At his concert Seger felt like he was one of us. The only difference was that he had a better seat at the concert. He wasn't there to grace us with his presence, he truly enjoyed singing for us. 🙌
Well said!!!!!
His concerts were great.
You could tell he was having the time of his life. Such good memories. I love him.
Never managed to see Bob, one of life’s regrets. 🥺
They'll never be another time like The 70's!
Beautiful of the wonderful music!❤
Singer - song writer - musician. Bob Seger / Tom Petty / Billy Squire. American made and make us proud.
Your still the same 🎉❤😊
There are so many great Bob Seger songs, it's almost impossible to pick just one as a favorite... Now that's greatness....
Totally agree with you The man was a genius
And he's still darn good. Went to concert about a year ago, Fantastic!
@@josephalbertson5616 Still is! He may not tour again, but I bet he'll continue to write music.
Yes I have seen him SEVEN times, and he is still now at about 75 still the same!!!!
@James would have loved to have seen him in concert but just waited to late. Regrets
Great characterization! I once knew a guy who wanted to get with a band (even though his talent was more in art than music). The band weren't impressed so I asked the manager if he would consider the art world for this guy instead. He agreed. But the guy looked at me like I had two heads and walked out. I caught up with him years later with a nice middle class girl he got in the family way, married, had a son and lived happily ever after. Who could wish him ill? Even her parents softened at the grandson. " Started humming a song from 1962, funny how the night moves, when you just don't seem to have as much to lose, strange how the night moves, with autumn closing in..."
When I pick up my acoustic and play this, or fire lake, Night Moves, and any other such as my favorite Seger acoustic song, No Man's Land, it is always apparent what an amazing singer Bob is. I plow along just fine for a bar band guy. But it is fairly difficult to inflect even a portion the feeling and soul that Bob has. I've been playing Seger songs since the 70s. I love them as much today as I ever did.
I seen him in Omaha about 5 years ago. He was "Still the same". Nailed it for a 2 hour show zero breaks. Sound was still spot on. Hell of a show. Silver Bullet Band was a staple at all of our parties. Couldn't have a party without them.
Bob’s vocals are exceptional....and his songwriting is timeless.
Ditto!
Greatest writer ever
He also couldn’t have chosen a better band. They compliment each other very well.
A agree.
A true legend in my childhood. A nightly routine. Till the weeee hours.
My dad used to take me night cat fishing at white rocks in the late 70's. He would play the Stranger In Town 8 track in the Dodge Scout , while drinking coors on the bank as the sun went down.
I see through this video Bob had pretty good teeth for his time and generation.
Bob is that rare musician who sounds better than Studio when playing Live...Note:"LIVE Bullet"
They all do
He's simply the best humble guy deserves all the success he's earned
He worked hard to gain his success. Paid his dues, and deserves every accolade he receives.
Bob Seger is one of the best song writers l have heard. His lyrics are superb
He is the best in my opinion and always will be!!!!!
@Richard Henk
Absolutely! A good man! Not like the so called "artists," of today like Cardi B. They couldn't hold a candle to a true artist and good person like Bob
I think God is pleased with what Bob has done with the wonderful voice He gave him!
Man, what a musician this guy is... One of the top guys in writing, performing, and longevity... Jeezus!!!
Considering that Bob is one of the best singers and songwriters in rock history, I don‘t understand that there are no officially released concert DVDs or Blurays, as far as I know.
This is from 78. If you saw Seger in 2018, you'd be seeing basically the same band. Still the same.
I must’ve played this cassette in my car, fifty million times when it came out. I still love it just as much today. 🤩
Thanks you for your kind words and thank you for choosing my music how long have you been listening to my music
Bob!!!
Which means you must have bought this cassette atleast 10 million times! That's been my experience anyway!
The late 70's, what a great era to be in High School. The songs, hair, clothes. WOW, far out, groovy, and right on man and rock n roll, ✌️
For my money, Seger is the king of "Classic Rock". (Hard air quotes)
Nobody wrote like him.
The crowd went wild at 1:57 of the video when Bob went slightly higher in pitch and sang "I still aim high," because it was divine in quality and he held it a little bit longer, and the crowd knew it could not get any better than that!
Survived the 70s and 80s , may not look the same but I'm still the same . Love this guy , every song is who we were . Timeless !
❤️👍🏼
JUST TAKES ME TO WERE I WAS THEN AND WERE I SOULD BE TO DAY AT 64 YEARS OLD I AM GOING THERE AGAIN JUST LUV HIM AND THE BAND THANKS GUYS I AM BACK 29 10 22 🖐🎤
@@teresalindsay3752 Everybody says I'm stuck in the 80s , but ya know what , if I gotta be stuck somewhere , I can't think of anywhere better to be stuck !
Absolutely, Brother! Saw himbin the early 80s. There is nothing like connecting with such pure energy.
Peace!

Seger was the man!
RIP My Dude. 9-18-23
Everything is still the same.❤😢❤
I was 10 years old in 1978. This was a damn good song.
I was born in 98’ but growing up my dad would play this song and Bob’s albums on our road trips. It’s still one of my favorite memories with my dad. It’s amazing how timeless his music is!
Your Dad has excellent taste in music. It doesn't get any better than this man right here!!! 💘 🎸 🎤 🎹 💘 @The Life of Hebah

Massive talent, 100% heart and soul.
Awesome outdoor concert in the great city of San Diego, California.
Seger and every single member of the band on point and rocking it throughout, having a great time and putting on a fantastic show.
Wish I'd been there, but anyway thanks for uploading this magnificent video!
Heard Joan Baez cover this in a concert in Milwaukee. The number of superstars who have performed this song is amazing
Imagine being one of the privileged few to get to see Bob in his prime here.
Love seeing the man clearly enjoying himself.
There’s nothing better than when a singer sings his song just like the recorded version. 👏🏻
Thank you ❤️

No shit! Don’t you hate when you pay your money to see your favorite band and they destroy your favorite songs. I don’t know why they do that?
@@SteveSmith-eb6ze Yes! I feel cheated!
It is hard to know where to start to describe how incredible this clip is.
Seger and the San Diego Sports Arena...this is high quality...
Seeing Seger live was a trip. He loves performing and the show is all high-energy from the first minute.
It's good you got to go to the show😃
Must be nice 😒
Was to many Seger shows. you never left disappointed. you just wished the night did not go by so fast.
Just look at the smile on his face, an indication of what really good music does to one’s soul. Music where there was a storyline, music where there was a beat and got your foot tapping, music that didn’t have a best before date and was always fresh, music that touched your emotions and carried you with it.

He was simply trying to green light some of the poon-tang that were in the front row to his right.
He was having so much fun.
Winning is a mindset. Way beyond presentations of awards. I’m well beyond that too. I’m not charming, desirable, but I will continue to aim high, speak for what is right and just be.
My dad worked for Libeirman records , then turned to ABC records, regardless. I remember when Night Moves was released. The "older folks" really lked it. I liked him in the Mid 80's . I Love him now.
I WAS SOOO PRIVILEGED to live during this music evolution...I love it all today even at age 70...
Me too ! Detroiter at 70. ✌🏻
I was there, I was in the Marines then. This is a great fine. We were in the upper level to the left of the stage...great seats...you could see the whole stage.
Thanks for your service ❣️ the country and constitution may need you again
the 70s definitely was the launch pad for great bands for America and Europe !!!
Just came across this, good old time rock and roll ,one of my faves! Still live by the song Like a Rock! Thanks Bob!
No apologies, the best talent ever born and always will be
I thank god I grew up during this time. Real talent. No voice machines. No 300 dancers on stage to distract you from how bad they sing. Pure raw talent. Bob Seger is an American icon
HA WHEN MUSIC
WAS TRUE!!!
same here!
Yes! Waxing nostalgic 2nite, had to hear this song 😏😌😊
There's still great musicians out there today but they're cockblocked by pop garbage
@John Burrows I thank god I am young now, and have access to all the talent that came generations before me.
what i would give to be alive in the 70s. to be standing there in that crowd with a bunch of other life lovin people, without a piece of modern technology in sight. i’m 20 and expected to listen to mumble rap and hip hop..they just don’t make music the way they used to man, when people had actual talent. watching these live performances of segar, lynyrd skynyrd, elton, the eagles really highlights that…man
Bob Seger is the freakin man this is coming from a person grown in the 90s wish I coulda been there at those times this is real music forget what’s one the radio nowadays put this on no need two fix stuff this is pure.
The incredible Mr Bob Seger is there anyone better I don't think so. The music the words he writes and his unbelievable beautiful vocals. There is NO ONE better.
This song is STILL THE SAME, the very same hit today as it was in 1978 . . . . so great! ! ! ! It's dificult to listen to it without getting some watery eyes!

Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band are by far the best singer, song writer, entertainers, and Rock & Roll band ever conceived.
He is right up there with Tom Petty and a select few of others. We are blessed to still have him here making music.
