We have to keep reminding ourselves about Russia and Ukraine giving high marks to each other in the televotes in this Contest, which I don't think is political anymore but because it is no secret that Russians and Ukrainians enjoy each other's music (I mean, the 12 Ukrainian televoting points to Sergey in 2016). and the 10 points from the Russian televote to Ukraine, this's proved that they're not actually hated each other, if the music was good, they're still awarded each other points.

I always loved Ukraine’s and Russias creativity (favorites Russia: 2016 Ukraine: 2007) I hope one day the Russian people will be able to participate again (without Putin of course, remember that there’s lots of Russians who don’t support the war) but that won’t happen until it ends, even then I still think it’ll take a while to get that trust back.
Shoutout to the Russian ESC fans here, who would you have given 12 points to in 2022? Would love to know, given that you guys had to find ways to watch that show over there.
Based on their voting pattern in the last decade, I believe they'll award 12 points to either Armenia, Azerbaijan or Moldova, though I doubt they would gave 12 points to Azerbaijan because that song was boring af. Armenia or Moldova would highly got 12 points from Russia had they weren't banned last year.
Well actually Armenia gave Azerbaijan 1 point in 2009, to this day it was still the only time Armenia had ever given points to Azerbaijan. On the other hand, Azerbaijan has never gave Armenia a single point since their debut in 2008.
Quite funny that 2005, which was a song about the Orange Revolution in Ukraine towards a more democratic system, russia gave it only 2 points lmao. Also really weird they only gave 1p to Gravity which was very popular. But that was also the time their issues kinda started, so politics DO have an impact. However, it's kinda cool they gave Ukraine 10p in 2016, which was kind of an anti-russia song. So clearly people do not always reflect government actions
I don't think Russia gave only 2 points to Ukraine in 2005 because of the song's meaning, but because the song itself is very flat. I am more shocked that Russia gave only 8 points to Verka Serduchka, since he is a huge star in Russia and the song is on the other level. It was very surprising to see, should've gave him all 12 points.
Actually 2005 is not an anti-Russia song. On the other hands, 2016 is. And Russia give second highest televote point to that very anti-Russian song. Also it touches my heart that Russia's last words in Eurovision were "are you ready for change, because we are the change"😢Please change Russia.
