Top 50 Eurovision Songs Hurt by Jury Score the Most in Grand Finals (2009-2018)

- It's a list made of 50 Eurovision songs since 2009 which were hurt by jury points. For that, the difference in the televote score and the jury score of every song was divided by the maximim possible amount of points from the televoting or the jury.
The video includes songs which competed in the grand finals from 2009 to 2018 excluding 2013 (because of lack of needed data, split average rankings were published instead of split scores).
In case of a tie, the difference in jury's and televote's placements is the tie-breaker.

No, HE wasn't. He got what he deserved even lil bit higher (2-3 steps). On ukrainian qualification on Eurovision in this year were another singers who were better than Melovín, more better. But "we tried so hard and that is what we got". Маємо те що маємо.

Poland- yes. Russia- nope. All Russians living outside send votes for motherland till their fingers turn blue (they know everybody hates them- why else would there be booing everytime Russia is being mentioned?) which means that gems like baking grandmas end up where they did. Nothing wrong with Verka- perfect ESC tune. Amazed it was 2nd, but not at all that it ended on left hand of screen. She is a ESC classic. Amazed Russia not making it into finals this year. Even they couldn´t look at rest of us and claim she deserved to be in final.

He wasn't the best! Many others performances/voices was better, especially Cyprus, Estonia, France, Bulgaria, Germany, Denmark, yes Austria too etc. Greece, Switzerland etc wasn't even in final, but here cry mostly Ukrainians! Lol

Oh please, stop it. "Party For Everybody" is literally a joke entry that was highly overrated by the televote and absolutely deserved to get hurt by the juries.
"You Are The Only One" was a very dated song that completely relied on visuals and absolutely deserved to get hurt by the juries.
"Shine" was an incredibly old-fashioned song that deserved to get hurt by the juries (and it wasn't hurt that badly btw).
Please don't forget that Russia has lots of Ex-Soviet voting buddies who always give points to Russia. And Russia is also a typical emigration country, which means it gets many diaspora votes from many countries. The reason why Russia appears so often in this video is because it gets highly overrated by the televote in the first place.
I loved Melovin, it was my favorite song. It made me so sad that the jury was so cruel. I wish we could have shared our points with the Ukraine. 😅

YES! Our Jury literally destroyed Italy and Czechia and Sweden was 1st place, just as usual. What else should we expect by now? They didn't even give any Points to Grande Amore back then wtf. It's absolutely outrageous to see what the juries have done to Italy in 2015 and 2018!
Italy has sent high quality songs ever since they came back to the contest in 2011, after a very long absence, and it's high time their effort should be accordingly rewarded! I don't know what the juries saw in that cheap plastic Swedish song, it really beats me, because it's incredible how they are willing to buy any sh*t Sweden sends... I'm not saying Mans wasn't a worthy winner, I liked his song back in 2015, but all the Swedish entries since 2016 are not good at all (Frans's was really boring and even irritating, for instance) and honestly they didn't deserve a place in top 5 or 10...
I'm happy to see the public recognised Italy's talent and punished Sweden's lack of it this year...

You got some great entries yeah, but i more often agree with the juries. Sorry did not like the singing of one of the guys this year. 2017 was honestly such a big disappointment... I literally can't think which was your entry in 2016... which means i did not enjoy it either. 2015 was probably the only year you brough really good music AND singing at the same time. It is my opinion of course.

Vlad D Sweden wasn't an eurovision powerhouse in between 2000-2011 and juries never liked Italy. In 2011 televoters voted Italy too not just juries. Sweden, even when they sent a good song after many years in 2011 they got very low ranking. Now Sweden is a powerhouse, even if they send the shittiest song, they'll somehow scrap through the Top 5. The only decent original song from Sweden which I fully like these latest years was "Undo" in 2014. Others, were so cheap, so unoriginal. And got some high places. Italy on the other hand, gets soooooo extremely low ranking by the juries. I am still angry and furious that Italy didnt win in 2015. Such a shame.

I feel like the «juries/televote hate/overrate that country» comments are getting old. My theory is simply that juries way of voting and taste in songs really favors radio-friendly songs, and songs we all can agree are «good». Jury votes are also not affected by dispora votes, or entries with big fanbases (like Ukraine this year). Juries also care A LOT about good vocals. Sweden sends radio-friendly stuff every year and therefore always does well with juries. Russia gets a lot of dispora votes. Austria this year sent a very radio friendly song with a great vocalist and a song most of us is «good», and came 1st with juries.
Just look at people in jury. There are sometimes just random famous persons. Why the hell they even allowed to judje.
