      A couple of years ago, my friends and I (we're Italian) showed Eurovision to our friend from Japan. She was FREAKED. And she's Japanese, so she should have been used to weird things... @Tara king it's a nod to a lot of things. The Sergey 3rd favorite place. (Sergey is the name they usually use in Little big songs). Their placing in the video, from the plan makes it look like the F finger also. The "tres" belongs to the Adidas logo we can see in the background of the video. Tres is also the representation of three groups (Little big+Florida and Muzychenko) from St-Petersburg representing Russia: Little Big, The Hatters and Leningrad. I think we need also look at it as an absurdity, subverting our expectations of it being not just a simple latino song with the classic uno,dos,tres lyrics.

Eurovision is a contest in which european countries (and australia, no one really knows why i think) not only contest for the best song but also show their culture. The contest it's called Eurovision not for Europe, but for European Broadcasting Union. The EBU it's an international radio organization settled in Geneva, Switzerland. So, they only have Europe in the company name because the company is from an European country. Also, it has nothing to do with the UE and their activity has never been only limited to Europe.
      Wouldn't be that weird if other countries from America or Asia joined in the future.

      Billie got famous with her genre and now when somebody else tries to sing that genre and is actually nice y'all acuse them for coping. Like is everybody singing pop a copy of Ariana?

    • @dylanjperri
      @dylanjperri Před 3 lety

      @@marinafan pop is not just Ariana. You can tell when someone is copying Arianas singing style, for example Emery Bingham. But the Eillish copy is so boring and so obviously copied it’s not even worth listening to because it’s already been done. They’re just trying to get popularity votes, I don’t think it would work because it’s so excruciatingly copied but also boring.

    I'm so sad for Lithuania, the first year when I actually love their song. They seriously could have won. I wanted to see Iceland and Azerbaijan on stage too. And my Goood, my heart is bleeding for Switzerland :'( that was THE song for me this year. I was so curious how would it work on the big stage, could have been stunning, shit, I'll never get to see it...
    Deep down I'm still praying for EBU finding some solution, so that these songs can be played at a festival. Doesn't even have to be a competition... Just let us see them perform

    One of the best ESC fun-videos I've seen so far!
    I only now realize how many countries sent to ESC 2021 the same artist who was selected for 2020, either with a different song or not. I feel sorry for Diodato (Italy) because it was clear that a huge effort was put in the 2020 TV performance, and the song would have definitely hit top 5, but as we say, tutto è bene quel che finisce bene (everything that ends well is fine).
