"Think About Things" Lyrics:
Baby, I can't wait to know
Believe me, I'll always be there, so
Though I know I love you
I find it hard to see how you feel about me
'cause I don't understand you
Oh, you are yet to learn how to speak
When we first met
I will never forget
'cause even though I didn't know you yet
We were bound together, then and forever
And I could never let you go
Baby, I can't wait to know
What do you think about things
Believe me, I will always be there, so
You can tell me anything and I'll listen
When we are together
There isn't anywhere that I would rather be
Three birds of a feather
I just hope you enjoy our company
It's been some time
And though hard to define
As if the stars have started to align
We are bound together, now and forever
And I will never let you go
Baby, I can't wait to know
What do you think about things
Believe me, I will always be there, so
You can tell me anything and I'll listen
I might even know what to say
But either way, at least I'll be there
Baby, I can't wait to know
What do you think about things
Believe me, I will always be there, so
You can tell me anything and I'll listen

@@daxvena and everybody is from the earth and everybody is living. Lets send the lawyer. Right?
@Joshua Steele Oh, they do. US wasn't the only country with slavery.
@@daxvena Hm. Yeah, but skin colour shouldn't affect the balance, though. If stuff like that matters, racism will never go away. Instead, it just enhances racism.
@@daxvena well, my point is/was that there are an infinit amount of attributes you can try to take in account for equalness, so it is still impressive and interesting thought, that so many of them are noticable equalized in such a small sample of people.
And sure, you can ignore bias, if you think, that it isn't important. Thats totaly what i do in this circumstance. Primarily it is about enjoying the song and interesting observations in the comments.
Apparently the composer wrote this about his baby daughter. He looked at her & thought about he can't wait to get to know her as a person & what she thinks about. As if this song wasn't awesome enough.
Yaaas i was looking for coment like this!! Bc i refused to believe i was the only one who thought it was about the actual baby 😁🥰
Hopefully his kid inherits his incredible dance moves
Oh I got it immediately, it's the cutest parenting song ever.
I read someone calling it the only pop song where "baby" literally refers to a baby. They were probably right.
The composer? You mean Daði Freyr lmao he's the one who did everything and even came up with the moves. His wife is the one on the Keytar and he's the one singing. This is one of their more popular songs and their version of this live is too damn good. He's a great artist and should be recognized as such instead of just being called "the composer".
I can't believe that they managed to have the entire population of iceland in one music video, that's impressive.
Help
Well, I think it helps most of their population are part of the same band?

Funniest comment I have read in a while!!
I have a difficult relationship with my parents and it's really heartwarming to hear a song about a parent being thrilled about learning their child's unique thoughts rather than shutting them down.
I made sure this was the first song my baby heard and hears it on the regular (now 2). He seems more into drum n bass music but I want him to know the lyrics of this song are true. He's already the funniest and most generous person I have ever met.
@@KateHornby That's so beautiful. I think the world will be a happier place when it's filled with people who have been raised with such love and respect, as opposed to some "traditional" methods involving fear and unquestioning obedience.
It's obviously important to be present for your kids. You're trying to default to "the child is correct" which is an overreaction you're having, and quite nonsensical.
@@chanty2192 What? I literally am not sure what you're on about.
The Icelandic culture is known for being very supportive in their children’s interests; one of the many things I love about the Icelandic people.

Can't believe it's been two years, but I think this is my favorite Eurovision song ever. Everything is perfect, from the silly, to the dance, to the captivation, the outfits. I'm so sad you didn't even get to bring it. I'd given 6146414341 points. Greetings from Belgium, this will stay in my mind forever.
The song itself is also good?
Second best after "Divine" by Sebastien Tellier in 2008 imho.

"Baby, I can't wait to know what do you think about things" being about an actual baby is actually so heartwarming, and also a bit genius because usually "baby" is for romantic songs but no, this is literally a baby who can't even speak or think beyond their most basic needs
And it's so cute 🥺
Yup its adorable and perfect!
This is the very first song my toddler heard. This song came out while I was pregnant. When we left to take him home I put this on in the car and wanted this to be the first song he ever heard out of my belly. My husband is working a festival later in the year where you will be appearing (Bella Drum). He has promised to try and get your autograph for me and tell you that this is the first song our little boy heard. Ollie is now 2 years old and I still play this song regularly for him.

the "i might even know what to say" bit is so soft and i really like the transition of tone
I love the half-assed dance moves. For real, it's like a style of it's own BECAUSE they are doing it low energy
that's why I hope Iceland will send them again next year. I'm interested to see how it can be topped!
Napoleon Dynamite vibes 🕺
Would be great to do them in a club, especially in a group. But then you'd gain way to much energy I reckon. B-)

LOVE THIS TUNE! Written for his baby daughter ❤
Same
Love the music, and the video really made me laugh, sort of reminded me of my childhood when my parents used to make us sing or play piano in front of neighbours and friends. Great video and very different.
This was going to be a definite winner, and that's coming from me in UK. Such a shame it got cancelled. I'm playing this on repeat
I was routing for Iceland as well. As this became a such a bop.
It was voted the best in Norway. It's just so catchy
Best Eurovision song ever
@Dread Bad Iceland happened to be the fan favourite in most countries
I’m U.K. too and I’m obsessed with the song! Such a great song!
Fun fact: The short one with curls on the left is his wife (the song is written for their daughter born last year) and the blonde with glasses on the right is his sister 😉
The one with the instrument is his wife? I think it's cute that he involves his family in this haha. Are they performing with him on stage aswell?
@@FANTAxFANTO Yes 😃
@@heidos7 I love that! I really like this song and now that I know this fun fact I like this song even more! I hope they win. 😄
And Matthias and Klemens from hatari are cousins😂 Is this some kind of technique to include your family to eurovision?
Please don't @ me
nice trio
