  • In this video I'll be doing a full review of an awesome diver from Heimdallr, the Sharkey 62MAS homages an icon in the Seiko line-up released in 1965.
Is this the best diver watch under 150 $ ?
    Thanks and enjoy!

Had this with a Tuna, and contacted Heimdallr. Some of their watches they reclassified the water resistance. Mine is the other way around, 200m on the dial, 300m on the back. I have just ordered the 62 MAS bronze. I have been a collector for some years and these watches are absolutely fantastic

Just to clarify. Someone already mentioned that the Heimdallr watch company did in fact correct the dial & caseback discrepancy. But in doing so they also improved a couple other things - 1. They added better printing on the dial - 2.The signed crown and the caseback have better looking laser'ed Shark's - 3. It's now presented in a useful padded mini Plano style case❗ - Useful for 'Smashing/SQUISHING' a curve into your stiff watch bands. - Got my three from Ebay; this watch is dynamite & so much better than I expected !

    I like Heimdallr Sharkey watches.
    These are why i likes.............
I just got SEIKO SKX 007J1 last month, (pay $300; Feb 2020 from jomashop) and i really love that design(don't like submariner type).
and i was thinking to get another skx009, but i don't want pay another $300. cuz i have sky 007.
i searched and found few SKX like watches company(most of Chinese company)....
    1. skx same (98% more) design(also name is SKX007)
    2. upgraded movement ( Seiko SII NH36A Automatic Movement). mean, you can put this movement to your skx.
    3. it come with Ceramic black Bezel(no pepsi). also can use my seiko skx.
    4. it with Sapphire crystal glass . also can use my seiko skx (i won't. but if i really need to...)
    5. come with 5 link Jubi bracelet (5 link Jubi bracelet model is extra cost, if you buy seiko skx). have brand name on bracelet. don't want use seiko skx.(but same 22mm rug size)
    6. only $160 (first order discount $15)
so, i just order it(skx007 green), and i am so exiting. (they will delivery mid April.)
for those reason. I DID GOOD CHOICE. and your video is good.

Mine has no visible blue AR at all. The bezel lines up perfectly and has a sweet action. Lume is great. The caseback reads exactly; "water resistant 300m, all stainless steel sapphire crystal, automatic movement"
Doesn't say nh35. Looks quite different without the blue tinge. I got the bracelet as well which is suprisingly nice. The brushing is clean and has a solid milled clasp.

General consensus is 100 meter WR is good for swimming and snorkeling, 200 meter is good for SCUBA diving. Recreational diving is limited to 40 meters. Heimdallr is a chinese company which makes all sorts of Seiko clones, it doesn't "pay tribute", it doesn't recall some traits of the original 62mas, it just straight copies the 62mas. I'd like a 62mas too, but i'd rather not own one or have another watch instead of this bs, doesn't matter the specs, the price blablabla.. it's bullshit, you can't call yourself an enthusiast if you wear fakes, clones, homage-copies, fashion watches from instagram ads..

    • @vitellonealvapore877
      @vitellonealvapore877 Před 3 lety +1

@@WatcheswithGeorge I believe anyone really into watches wouldn't think "can't afford, buy clone or fake", unless you see watches only as a cool accessory and you're not particularly interested in the abstract aspects of watchmaking in that case any watch will do, otherwise buy something for your budget but buy something interesting. This doesn't necessarily mean you don't know anything about watches, it just shows how deep your interest/passion really is. Borrowing isn't bad per se, it depends, everyone borrows everywhere, even big brands from other big brands but carbon paper copying is different, i mean come on, they only changed the logo.
I'm familiar with some microbrands, some make interesting stuff and some don't, Heimdallr doesn't, cause they make money by selling copies of Seiko to people who like Seiko but aren't willing to pay Seiko money, like people who wear fake Rolexes.. You can pretend it's real but you know it's not.
