Great job Tony 👍
Nice to see things being scratch built instead of kit form,
Thank you Mick. well its the only way with station. there no resemblance to make do. all the best Tony
Developing nicely, great idea for adjusting the panel spacing to match the bridge span using whole panels only, it's worked a treat. Glad I have been saving coffee and lolly pop sticks, going to need some more after seeing this! Stephen
Morning Steve. well its almost spring. lolly pop season is just around the corner. thank you for commenting all the best tony
Your a very clever man. I love this. Thank you for the lessons and the entertainment. I don’t think there’s anything more fun that model railways.
Hi Lee. thank you for commenting. the fun for me is in the build. working out how to do things. and getting it to look right....cheer's Tony
TONY NORTH EASTERN well your doing a fantastic job you really are. Your a real artist. I have the hornby night mail set which your video made me want to run and she’s screaming and stuttering around the tack so ive just ordered some oil so I’ll give her a service. Your videos are really making me want to build my own layout so I’m busy clearing a room. Thank you for uploading your videos they are a real inspiration 👍👍
Cheer's Lee. thank you of your kind words. that is great that you are going to take up the hobby. hope you can get the night mail running smoothly...all the best Tony
You’re making great progress Tony and it looks fantastic. Really enjoying following the build! Cheers Geoff
Thank You Geoff. thank you for following.very much appreciated mate....cheer's Tony
Looks amazing so far, keep up the good work :)
Thank you Basing TMD. all the best Tony.
Cracking job Tony. Looks good. Good tip for the curved walls. I'll be pinching that idea. LOL.
Hi Alan, feels like ive been robbed already. steel away.........thanks again Tony
I love that opening photo looking out from South Shields Station, I'm still sort of hoping you will be building at least the top halves of those two hotels either side of the bridge? Please pretty please? It'd probably only take you a couple of months, and we do sort of have the time right now! What a kit bash, or scratch build, that would be.
I liked the girder bridge the first time, and I like it again now. And the flanking walls set it all off. The signals are just the icing on the cake, must have been fun wiring them up… It's all a bit like the swan, serene on the surface but a lot of paddling (wiring) going on below.
There are plans to build at least one of the buildings, the hotel on the right as a scratch build. but when i am going to get round to doing it i dont know....thank again Tony
[thank, you for youre great video.👍 this is the same ho-scale bridge that im. working on]
I am that this video helps you out in some way. many thanks for commenting. cheer's for now Tony.
great job tony really looks good like the bridge girders very nice you make it look so easy great video have a great weekend all the best al 👍👍👍😀
Thank you al. just experience mate learn through mistakes and working out how to do it better. thanks again for commenting ...Tony
Gosh that was excellent! I have learned some great tips. Coffee stirrers, lollipop sticks! Your walls and bridges are fantastic! To me a railway is grimy urban landscape and South Shields captures that. Well done!
Thank you. I must be getting something to receive a comment like yours. many thanks keep safe … Tony
Tony you make some excellent looking bridges. Throughly enjoy your videos. 👍
Thank You. keep safe all the best Tony
Looking so good Tony, great work.

Coming along nicely Tony. Enjoyed the video, now for the ballasting.........John.
Thank you John, ballasting is drying out after a marathon ballasting session Sunday. can i book you for the next instalment lol. cheer's Tony
Thank you for another in-depth video, Tony. I started using coffee stirrers when I was modelling American 'O' years ago and am still amazed by their versatility as a material for scratch building although I must admit that I hadn't thought to use them for coping stones on top of walls... Thanks for that one, mate!
Your Welcome. you can not wrong with the old coffee stirring sticks. cheer's Tony
Great job Tony...👍🏻👍🏻, all the best, Chris
Thank you Chris. have a great day. cheer's Tony

TONY NORTH EASTERN thank you for your vote of confidence Tony. I will do my best, Ross.
A great video Tony and great scratch building skills. It is making your layout look really well. -Kevin
Thank you Kevin. that means a lot to me mate. cheers Tony
It wouldn’t be a build without a bit of bridging going in on Tony North Eastern. As always, terrific attention to detail. Paul
Thank you Paul, i must check out how you are getting with your signal box.getting closer to starting the station. all the best Tony

paul
Hi Paul, i am glad this video helps you out. these girder plate bridges are great for adjustment to suite the gap you have. many thanks for watching Tony
I love this. Lock the world outside. Like being read a story when I was a kid. Except this is really interesting.
Well Billy mate its a long story. its probably never ending. sound like this is what you need. thank you for commenting Tony

Looking good and lots of progress, you'll be bored silly when it's all complete.

Tony, you have done a great job so far. It is looking good and ready for ballasting me thinks.
Barry.Devon
Hi Barry. as you thinks the ballasting has started and finished, just been cleaning up ready for painting but don't tell anyone. lol. thanks again for your comments....cheer's Tony
I like the weathering on the girder plates
Thank you Alan, its a simple effect. and it works all the best Tony
I do look forward to these updates Tony! Great job as always, problem is I now have girder bridge envy as mine looks a bit flimsy compared to yours! Cheers Steve
Hi Steve, you could always change if it not to much trouble. thanks again Tony
Thanks Tony, the bridge is not finished yet so I may well do, the sides I used are Peco but with rounded ends
Slowly but surely I make my way through your exhilarating videos. Like a good novel, I can't put it down. You'll probably get fed up that I ask questions but it is because I am a newbie to this hobby. Every now and then you disappear to cut wood for the layout whether it is bridges, base boards or platforms. What electrical tools do you use to give you curved base board or platform? When you were wiring the layout do you use a separate power supply and bus wire for each of your separate functions ie. Power for the track, power for lighting, and finally, power for signals? I would be most delighted to hear how you do this Cheers Tony, Mike
!
Hi Mike. Welcome to hobby my friend.
The answer to questions. The signals are powered directly from the track. As they are train tech signals.
Power tools vary from a jig saw with a steady hand for cutting curves. And a rip saw for striaght cuts. I hope this helps. Judging by where you are. You are a long way from catching up. All I can say is carry on with what are doing. Take your time and enjoy the hobby. And don't let become a chore. It does help to rake a break now and again. Thanks again for commenting. All the best Tony
@@TONYNORTHEASTERN Thanks for the solid advice Tony, it means a lot. Yes, I do have a long way to go and sometimes overwhelmed by what lies ahead and where I should start. Chicken and egg spring to mind. Your advice will not be wasted. Cheers, 👍
yep. i know that feeling/ cheer's Tony
Looking good Tony. Can I stick my oar in and suggest you paint the other bridge blue as well, because the weathered blue one looks fab.
Hi Tony. i thought i had the right paint to start with but yes they should be the same. i might get round to doing that at some point. fair point though..........best wishes Tony
Lovely recovery on the buttresses Tony. I was impressed with the kit for the bridge. Ballast ready for the next step?!
Hi Paul, i am ballasting at the moment. its a painstaking job. but it has to be done. cheer's buddy. Tony
Hi Tony- That is excellent work and the station area really does look very good indeed. Are you operating the TrainTech signals individually or linking them to run in series ? Cheers Kev
Hi Kev, the trian tech signals are running in series. but only the four mentioned with a mimic switch in-line to control the bay platform at Newhassle. hopefully it should work. thanks again for commenting Tony
Hi Tony, well done again. Nice progress. What make and where do you get the 'card' you use the cover the bridges ? Looks very realistic. Thanks for sharing & greetings, Filip
Hi Philip, thanks again for commenting . the card is Metcalfe Moo58 or if you can get it Moo50, all the best Tony
Hi tony
Looking good my friend
I can't add anything that other comments already have
Sorry
Keep safe arp
you don't have to sorry Adi, just saying something is plenty all the best Tony
Tony again fantastic modelling and a great video wish you could make them longer
are you sure. 30 mins not enough for you. what can i say. you could watch it over and over. lol. take care buddy thanks for watching it over and over....cheer's Tony
