- this week has been a very busy week on the layout, with running out of windows and new doors required for the goods office, my efforts were focused on those. but i did manage to look into the booking office. although its not the same as the original booking office. what i have ended up with is something with character and looks right and in keeping with its surroundings. don't forget to
check out.........Sandrews international Junction
That is excellent modelling! A joy to watch.
Your welcome Malcolm. thank you for taking the time to comment...Tony.
Love the videos and top class modelling skills thank you for sharing 😎😎😎
Thank you Mike. thanks again for your kind words.....all the best Tony
Love those stairs and handrails.
Thank you Ben..............best wishes Tony
Hi Tony
Another fabulous masterclass in scratch building Im really love the booking hall really impressive that suites a grand station building like South Shields i think you right about them boarding up the original that is something BR done in the 1970/80s as cost cutting measure The North Eastern Railway always loved to make a big impression with their stations and and other buildings. So you can bet South Shields would have been grand. All the best Pete
Thank you Pete that is an interesting point made regarding the decor of the booking hall. that did make sense....thanks again best wishes Tony
Nice touches on the booking hall brick and sandstone. The handrails with the end curls work well too - all down to the finishing off. It's becoming quite a building! You are so lucky to have made space to accommodate it. Stephen
Hi Stephen, i knew the building was a big station, but it is a little bit bigger that what i thought it would be. i have made very small concessions in the length of the station which you will see in the next video. thank you for stopping and commenting....best wishes Tony
Wow!!! Tony, I have missed your videos and forgotten how skilful your are, well done...Simon
Hello Simon, its great to see you have popped up in the comments. you have not missed much mate, lol. its good to hear from you. best wishes Tony
Another brilliant bit of modeling Tony, its almost like being at the original build. Those steps are amazing. And the lettering is something else. Thanks again for the entertainment through these difficult times. Stay safe. Eddy xx
Thank you Eddy. its gives me great pleasure to share my hobby. and if its entertaining then that's a brucy bonus, thanks again for commenting stay safe .........best wishes Tony

Your Welcome James......................GRRREEEAATTTTTT comment.............best wishes Tony
Honestly Tony you would think some folk had never seen a giant pencil pushing a handrail into place before! Great job mate, that Ticket Hall looks superb. Cheers Steve
Hi Steve, yes your probably right they have not seen a big pencil.....thanks again for commenting cheer's Tony
Hi Tony, the build is really looking good, marvellous job on the booking hall. As an ex lorry driver was amazed at how quickly you unloaded that trailer. Look forward to next instalment.
u
Cheer's Philip. the hand of god always comes in handy for unloading trucks. but i would rather use a fork truck.lol...have a great weekend. cheer's Tony
Great video, had to chuckle at the movement of the lorry, who needs Electric, who needs Gas, you got string..lol
Cheer's Chas. i always try and be ozone friendly. just of camera there was 20 blokes pulling on that string,...lol. thanks for commenting very much appreciate it............cheer's Tony
Just amazing 😊👍
Thank you Ian, have a great weekend ..............cheer's Tony
Fantastic Tony, really like the detail you include, excellent build....cheers, Chris
Thank You Chris, i aim to please, and i think i have done that. many thanks for commenting. all the best Tony

Been silently watching your build for a while now Tony and I must say you are a fantastic modeller, top marks and keep up the good work. Doug.
Thank you Doug, thank you for taking the time to comment...........cheer's Tony
Tony, another great development to the station it really does look the part, it actually takes me back to being a kid back in the 60’s when some of the old and lovely architecture was still in place. This station is turning into one epic build, and I’m looking forward to the next stage. Currently trying to sort out gradients on my layout so progress as such is slow and been let down twice by suppliers sending the wrong things, ah well not a big deal but just delays the build! Thanks Tony, John
Hi John Mate. that's is true it is an epic build. four weeks i have been at it now. i still have two more building to make to complete the side i am currently working on, suppliers can be a pain in the neck sometimes. i was sent o gauge doors for the station at the start of the build..
we can only persevere mate. we always do....take care.........Tony
So good to watch your progress Tony. You are very skilled and patient, brilliant video again.
thank you Bob, we all have in us to this type of modeling its just practice and patience....all the best Tony
Fantastic work with the booking hall area Tony.
Michael
Cheer's Michael. it turned out alright in the end. yes i am pleased with my efforts. take care Tony
Tony you operate on a different plain, well done. And thanks for sharing with us.
Your Welcome, kenney. great comment............cheer's Tony
Tony another modelling masterclass and I must congratulate you on the fine job you made of the steps , especially with all those watching too...…………………...Cheers Kev
Hi Kev, there's no health and safety around the building site. the foreman has no control as hes spends most of time down the pub. i am not surprised that none my little people have been hurt..lol thanks again for commenting.........cheer's Tony
The station just gets better by the episode Tony. The ticket Hall is just superb with the highlight being that signage above the booths. Paul
Hello Paul, thank you for popping in. the signage was a last minute idea, which as you rightly said finishes it off. hope you decide to build the station next....take care all the best Tony
Brill tony as always great inspiration you give me
That's' Great Dylan, now i know i have done the right thing all those years again, putting my video's to inspire guys like yourselves....thanks again for commenting....best wishes Tony
Tony your videos make me smile with respect for your build on the station.
Your steps and ticket counter shot at the end of this video looks great.
🚂🚃🚃🚃
Thank you kindly.................i am glad to be of service,..........best wishes Tony
Catching up on your postings and the Booking Hall is another brilliant build, South Sheilds will be exceptional Tony. You are showing everyone that with planning, patience and modelling skills there can be amazing results, cheers Paul.
Cheer's Paul. that is very true. anyone can have a go. have a great weekend cheer's Tony
Another little gem Tony. As mentioned by others the little curl on the handrail is fantastic. Most other people would have made it flat but not you. the curl has brought those stairs to life. I thought that you had made a stop motion segment with the delivery of the windows. Then I noticed the string! Good one ! Until next week, stay safe, George
Hi George. when was a little lad i use to watch Thunderbird's, Joe 90.... and that's what gave the idea to bring the doors and windows into the yard on the back of a truck, so i drill a ting hole just behind the towing hitch on the front of the truck. and used a piece of grey thread thinking no one would notice, well i did'nt get away that one,,,,well spotted.... thanks again see you next week.......cheer's Tony
Tony I think the booking hall looks fantastic the people were waiting to get down and they all rushed home when you finished it I think you are amazing with this station thank you for the shout out Tony most appreciated and the two buildings came today absolutely perfect and the little sheds and the greenhouse thanks very much oh my station has come today what a lot of parts to put together but I think it will look good wants it’s been put together anyway I’m grateful to you cheers mate .... :0) .... Chris 👌
Hi Chris. that's great that you have got the buildings. i was not sure when you would get them.i hope they fit in with what you are building.good luck with the build. the station will look grand when its done. all the best my friend ....Tony
Looking great Tony you are doing a grand job well done you
Thank you Stephan..................cheer's Tony
The ticket office is looking really authentic Tony. You can almost smell that damp, sooty railway booking office
" scent".
Thank you Peter, i can remember that smell, the sooner they open our heritage lines the better, just so i can smell that soot, oil, and steam and those lovely sounds. i think i get the picture........cheer's Tony
Looking good keep posting videos up
No Problems there Lee, there's not much else to do a the moment. take care buddy. keep up the good work yourself, great live chat last night.....cheer's Tony
Looking very impressive
Thank you Anthony..........i agree its going to be the center piece of the layout. so yes i have to do the station justice.....thanks again Tony
Tony I’m astounded 😮 absolutely brilliant. Regards fred 😎.ps thanks for the mention
Cheer's Fred, the truck came in handy. thanks again best wishes Tony
Another brilliand episode to your station build Tony. I liked the little touches of the people watching you build the handrails and the arrival of the lorry, bringing the windows and doors on site. Nice bit of thinking to include them. It is really coming along very nicely and you have made a lovely job of the ticket office.
Cheers
Geoff
Thank you Geoff, i have been revisiting some of my old videos and you have always been there. thanks again as always for your support. i must remember to much check out your next video.....take care ..............cheer's Tony
@@TONYNORTHEASTERN Hi Tony. I have been neglecting my layout a bit over the past few weeks, as other jobs around the house and garden have got in the way and I must get back to doing some more work in the shed. I have got a couple of new motorised trams that I haven't run yet, so maybe I will do a short running session with them this comming week, before I crack on with more work on the layout.
So cheers for now mate.
Geoff
that would be good to see your new trams....keep safe im sure we will catch up soon.....Tony
Awesome work Tony and another great video. - Kevin
Cheer's Kevin. so i guess i will see you next week. stay safe all the best Tony
Fantastic work Tony. An amazingly detailed and complex model, of such a beautiful building... I look forward to seeing the develop further!
Hi Al. its come a long way over the past few weeks, i am currently working on the adjoining building which the barbers, and refreshments room...its like all things its takes time to come up with ideas on how to put it together for the final build, its slow buts its worth it...thanks again for commenting. see you again next week......cheer's Tony
Thankyou! I think that is probably how it was build, with perhaps the boarding up being done when the Ticket inspector's cabin was installed
Hi Mike just like to say thanks again for the tip of...you still need to get your tickets from somewhere...its a thought.....many thanks best wishes Tony
I think those 3 guys are just making sure nobody tries to walk down the stairs before the rails are installed. quite vigilant they are, deserving of a rise in salary i would say. with all the madness that's going on in the world today, it's so nice to be able to dial up your videos and leave the world behind for a bit. thank you.
Hi John i must have missed this comment.................sorry about that. all the best buddy Tony
Love your vids Toni amazing detail
Thank you. its great to get such a good reaction from the video's form the likes of yourself. very much appreciated.....cheer's Tony
Once again, another brilliant video. I enjoyed seeing the crowd gathering to watch you fit the handrails, a lovely attention to detail. 😀
i just like to have some fun with when building something, as you have noticed. otherwise all this time spent in the loft could drive loopy. maybe i am going loopy. no just a bit of fun...thank you again for commenting...........cheer's Tony
Tony what's an absolute fantastic job you've made of that booking hall the rails for those steps must have been an absolute pain I think the way you bent the handrail it was absolutely fantastic I wouldn't have thought of that cheers Gordon
Thank you Gordon. its the little things that means a lot, and it does'nt cost anything extra to do it. thank you again Tony
Are you the real Gordon from Sodor?
Hi Tony, I've been watching your channel for ages. Absolutely gorgeous work with the station so far. Take care, from Australia.
hello Australia. thank you for watching. and i am glad you have found the channel interesting. maybe see you again next many thanks. best wishes Tony
G'day Bruce.

Hi Stephan, great tip i will bare that in mind................cheer's Tony
well, tony another outstanding video just gets better every time stunning. looking forward to seeing the roof on well take care and have a great weekend cheers for now and thanks for sharing 🙋♂️👍👍👍👍😁❤ all the best al 😁
cheer's Al. i am long way of for putting the roof on.there's so much more to do. there are 3 more buildings to go up around the main station area, and there's all the detailing to do.we are getting there mate..thanks again for commenting have a great week end all the best Tony
Nice railing detail Tony. Geoff Marshall can be very entertaining. I was very close to having him design the opening titles for Farland. He only wanted £100 in those days. 😀. If you want to get together today it would be great.
Hi Rob, its was great catch up. we could have chatted for hours......take care buddy............Tony
that's great tony the ticket areas look beautiful
Thank you Steven. that's nice of you to say so. thanks again Tony
Absolutely First Class Tony , Regards Dave
Thank you Dave, see you again next time, best wishes Tony
Nice
cheer's Tony
local w i come to check out your work Tony..Your doing a cracking job Tony.
Hi Al, that can be arranged mate, once we have lock down is out of the way. i am not local to wales...i live near Portsmouth, we do have relations in swansea, which we visit from time to time. thanks again for your support catch up in your next video....Tony
@@TONYNORTHEASTERN Swansea is only half way tony..lol..another 200 miles to north wales..lol..best book a plane..lol..
Blimey cough, choke, tea everywhere. well that's not local. that's for sure .i here its a nice part of the world up there. i must stick it my bucket list..cheer's for now Tony
I like that, Tony. It might not be South Shields exactly, but it's appropriate for the building and so long as you're happy with it that's all that matters.
Thank you Ozzy. i think i have made the right decision with the booking hall. in the end and it looks like its supposed to be there. thank you for commenting my friend.............cheer's Tony
beautiful modeling... so glad that Geoff has helped you out, cos his channel is great... all the best Sir...
I have watch of few of his videos now. Geoff has a good channel. thanks again for stopping by. best wishes Tony
If the Ticket Hall didn't look like that - it jolly should have.
Now that's a jolly good of you old chap....cheer's mate......best wishes Tony
As always Tony your imagination and ability to achieve such a beautiful model has me amazed
I did try to look up Saunders International but I couldn’t find it which is a shame
Hi John. try this in the search...Sandrews international Junction
... thanks again for commenting..........Tony
Well at least Mrs Simms will have something to hold on to when she goes up the steps after having one to many.
Ah the lovely Mrs Simms she would probably need a lift putting in. but then again would she be able to find her way out of the lift....all the best Tony
when you look from the platform I can see why you wanted so much detail in a building covered by a roof. I really like the handrails. They looked good in white but I understand the issue of historical accuracy Tony. Did you do a Chadwick and glue your fingers together ?
Hi Martin. people may thinks its a shame that most of the detail will disappear once the oval roof goes on, but at the same time once the camera moves in for close ups and stills i would still like to see as much as possible. but i am planning the roof to be removable so not all will be lost. its an interesting point though, ah sticky fingers, a Chadwick moment i try not to get stuck, i have come close on the odd occasion, i do like charlies videos.......stay safe my friend best wishes Tony
Hello Tony, it’s looking fantastic and we’re really enjoying seeing it come along, can you please tell me the brand and number of the crimson paint?
Hi Ian, the paint is a humbrol No20. hope this helps...thanks again for commenting .......cheer's Tony
"Excuse me, young man" "Yes, Madam, How may I help you?" "I'd like a First Class ticket to South Shields, please. "But Madam you are at South Shields" "Well there no point in buying one to go anywhere else, there are no trains" "Sorry Madam" You have this nice Booking Hall that does not sell tickets and there is nowhere to sit down." "No wonder they Nationalised the Railways". Martin. (Thailand)
Brilliant comment, this has cracked me up. Martin i am going to have to use this in a video....lol still laughing...........cheer's Tony
Hi Tony, another brilliant installment. This series is becoming a really great "How to Scratch Build Buildings". I love the inside of the Booking Hall. When is the first train due at South Shields? Best regards Dave.
Hi Dave. thanks again for commenting. i just don't have the time to run trains at the moment, my focus is getting the station building up.even if its just the main building. August is the target for completion. so august will see the first train to run into shields. as it will coincide with being on you tube for five years. that's the plan. you know me with plans sometimes it never goes to plan. thanks again Tony
one brick is to low on the right hand side of the window between window 2 and 3
what do expect is what put up on a saturday morning, the brickies were in hurry to finish as they didnt want to miss the match. Newcastle were playing that afternoon .lol.............cheer's Tony
thats really coming along now tony.
all i can di is kit bash lol
yours
paul
Hi Paul, if you can kit bash then you can build from scratch i am sure of that, start with something small say a weight bridge and hut, get a figure measure him up. height and width, then you know how to make the windows which would about 13mm of the floor. the width of the door is about 13,5mm. the height would around 22mm...have a go mate. all the best Tony......
TONY NORTH EASTERN oh I can build platforms. Working signals both colour light and semaphore plus hard standings and other things. But I’m just not buildings
😡😡
They are still skills my friend.......cheer's Tony
Tough audience looking on lol
Hi Mike yes it was tough i am sure they were checking if it was level when i was'nt looking....take care cheer's Tony
