This is an atmospheric layout which captures the time period depicted (Early BR?). It is good that you have put lots of passengers on the platforms which is a detail overlooked by so many modellers! Great collection of locos and period rolling stock to match. The station building is quite a convincing representation of a station in an important town. You haven't made the mistake of depicting a line that Dr Beeching would have had his eye on! Lots going on with no deserted platforms! An entertaining commentary which contrasts with the so many stuffed shirts that seem to pervade the world of model railways without entering into the spirit of it! Thanks for uploading. That main station looks superb!!! The entire layout is brilliant though. I didn't realise it was that big...or the station either! ha ha. No wonder Mrs. Simms had fallen over. It was shock at seeing the size of it Tony haha.

Hi, what a great way of doing a layout tour, as a railtour. I never realised your layout was quite so extensive. It was great seeing some of those wide angle shots across the room to get a feeling for how everything fits in together. I still love your trackwork, especially the latest bits, that just snake around corners beautifully, nothing looks as if it has been forced to fit the space, it just works brilliantly. Everyone seems to be talking up their figures today! It only says 4,110 subs at my end Tony. But I'm sure you are counting the ones that will be received in the next week or two. Sounds much more impressive than my 3 (or is it 4), but then I've not posted anything yet… Still at the planning stage on my latest layout, and I have a whole house to decorate yet… 25:50 "So there is a lot of building work left to do". Well isn't that the fun bit. Great tour Tony, thanks a lot - it's been a great journey and I intend buying a full excursion ticket.

Hi love what you do inspiring. I would like to know your opinion would you consider banking the corners to help against derailing. I have some trouble with some derailing?
Hi Stephen, never thought of banking. you say that you trouble on corners. maybe your radius are too tight. or the wheels on you rolling stock are too wide. a back to back gauge is what you need to check your wheel centers, i dont have any trouble with bends. i have a point that needs lifting as a curve comes straight onto it. and my P2 dos'nt like it. all the best Tony

Hi what glue do you use to stick your figures to your clear bases as I have tried every glue and mastic I own the best results I have is using clear epoxy but even that fails. The bendy Hornby figures are stuck on really well not sure what adhesive Hornby use great layout
Hi Martin, Sorry for late reply. i miss a lot of comments. the glue i use for sticking the figures onto there bases. is plain old super glue. just a tiny amount om each foot, but firstly make sure your figures feet are flat. might have shave a bit of them before sticky down onto their bases.....best wishes Tony
Hi Craig, the stone wall was made using 3mm plywood 20mm tall and 3mm thick. then metcalfe stone walling sheets or you could use brick sheets to cover the plywood. the walls can also be made from card 2mm. walls do come in various thcknesses. hope this helps ....all the best Tony

Hi Stephen, never thought of banking. you say that you trouble on corners. maybe your radius are too tight. or the wheels on you rolling stock are too wide. a back to back gauge is what you need to check your wheel centers, i dont have any trouble with bends. i have a point that needs lifting as a curve comes straight onto it. and my P2 dos'nt like it. all the best Tony

Hi what glue do you use to stick your figures to your clear bases as I have tried every glue and mastic I own the best results I have is using clear epoxy but even that fails. The bendy Hornby figures are stuck on really well not sure what adhesive Hornby use great layout
Hi Martin, Sorry for late reply. i miss a lot of comments. the glue i use for sticking the figures onto there bases. is plain old super glue. just a tiny amount om each foot, but firstly make sure your figures feet are flat. might have shave a bit of them before sticky down onto their bases.....best wishes Tony

I like the way you did the brick walling which appears at 20:40 how, may I ask, did you construct it?
Hi Craig, the stone wall was made using 3mm plywood 20mm tall and 3mm thick. then metcalfe stone walling sheets or you could use brick sheets to cover the plywood. the walls can also be made from card 2mm. walls do come in various thcknesses. hope this helps ....all the best Tony
