This video is actually part of my online journal which documents my escape from the Jehovah's Witnesses cult.

The intention of this video is not to attack the people involved. Its aim is to focus on how Jehovah witnesses react in the face of irrefutable empirical contradictions. As many of you might know - there are many such contradictions within the scriptural theology and doctrine of the JW's. But this is my story. And with it I hope to show the extent by which JW's ignore, belittle, deny, twist, misinterpret, hide scientific truth - Even to the point of excommunicating/disfellowshipping/banishing its members.
They weren't there to debate. They were there to convict. They say that they are "In The Truth" but they don't want to hear truth.
I think Galileo and Giordano Bruno went through this.

Also I know from recent judicial committees if you have a letter from a lawyer stating that if they announce your name at the podium that you can sue them for slander, because they don't say why you're being disfellowshipped and most people nine out of 10 will believe it's some sort of immorality. And that can be very slanderous to a person and ruin their reputation. And when they are threatened with a lawsuit they do not announce your name on the podium as being disfellowshipped. That has been the new procedure a lot of people have been using that have been brought into judicial committees that are being accused of apostasy.

Reminds me of a woman that is beaten and battered by their spouse and won’t leave them because of fear. Same way with many JW’s today they won’t leave because of their fear of being shunned. Which is a spiritual beating given by the hands of 8 men in New York.

Ugh, every time i was in "the back room" talking to elders it was like talking to a wall, and i eventually told them as much; and that was BEFORE i was mentally out. Hope you planted enough seeds of doubt in that younger elder's mind and that your family wakes up too.

What convinced me that it was OK to walk away from the lies told by these men and the organization is if they went into a court of law they would not look at any evidence in a case. And if you won’t look at evidence then you’re a blind person. And your opinion means nothing because you’re not able to look at both sides of the story and then form an opinion.

At one stage they likened the Governing Body to the Apostle Paul, their admiration for these eight men at headquarters sees no end. Truth is not important but their belief in the words of those eight men and their publications is.
Not too long ago the Governing Body was teaching that each creative day was 7,000 years long now they teach it is not but you had to believe whatever view they had at any given time, otherwise you were not worshipping God. Shunning is your punishment.
They tell you that you can't record the Judicial, it's a s crew process. They can't tell you how many they have personally disfellowshipped and the reasons for doing so. Yet the bible shows that this secrecy wasn't any part of Gods people.
They could tell you how many they have disfellowshipped but then they would have to kill you. Lol

I was 18 at my JC. I tried to make the same arguments but was not mature enough or knowledgeable enough to make myself clear. I felt so helpless.

They care more about the governing body than Christ or what the Bible says. And I just cannot stand the idolatry that they show the governing body it is so manipulative and cultish. If you look on Mike and Kimmy's videos there's a recent one about a secret truth book from Bethel that only bethelites had access to. And in this gentleman's summary of what he experienced in Bethel is unbelievable some of the things that the governing body did and president Knorr, and how Bethel was run it just blows your mind. I am so curious to know what your objections were.

Do you remember the Supreme Court case held in Canada where the attorney for the Jehovah's Witnesses who is an elder in the congregation, stated that a disfellowshipped person can still have normal family relationships they are just not allowed to have any spiritual contact. You need to show them that video and your family and maybe you can keep your family and friends? It's just a thought try it out and see what happens I'd love to know and follow up with you on this.

Luke's age at the time of his baptism may be relevant. If Luke was a child, then he would be in a position to repudiate the baptism on the grounds that he was incapable of entering a life-long contractual commitment to the Watchtower organisation. A repudiation of his baptism would mean that he had never been a baptised member and therefore should not be shunned. He could have informed the elders that if they publicly announced that he was disfellowshipped after being informed, in writing, that he was repudiating his baptism on the grounds of his age, they, would be liable personally and jointly, and the Jehovah's Witness organisation as a corporation, for any loss Luke suffered including for any pain and suffering as a consequence of shunning. They would be wise to consider the legal implications of their actions.

I'm sorry I keep making so many comments. There is a scripture in the old New World Translation it is worded completely different than it is in the silver sword. And for some reason I can't remember it off the top of my head I thought it was in Micah. But basically the original translation talked about being loving in the congregation and treating people with care, but in the new Bible they have, it says to be loyal to the older men of the car gation basically the organization. I think it's on JW Escape she did a video and it has those scriptures in there and I'm very sorry I can't recall it I looked in my Bible and I can't find it but I just wanted you to know that they have completely changed and tire verses and their new Bible compared to even Thayer old Bible. And all of it is to make Hovis witness rank-and-file members to conform to the governing bodies rules and regulations.
