Tibor's candor regarding the exJW community's attitude and some behaviour is spot on. His comments are intelligent, frank and ... gracious. I absolutely agree with him but I would probably use harsher words. Great interview. I tried to stay out of the "circus" a year ago but did comment a couple of times when some comments were beyond deranged. Not all of us exJWs are deranged but so many left the cult but the cult personality hasn't left them. 🙄
Absolutely! Well said! Yes, the judgementalism, the default negative view of people and the world in general is deeply ingrained. It took me a while to recognize that in myself after leaving. 3 books that really, really helped me heal and grow are "The Power of Now", by Eckhart Tolle, "Man's Search for Meaning" by Dr. Viktor Frankl and "The Daily Stoic - 366 meditations on Wisdom, Perseverance, and the Art of Living" by Ryan Holiday and Stephen Hanselman.

*Edit:* Also, having gotten to the part where Tibor talks about his favourite/least favourite videos to edit, I must say I notice the incredible video quality as I'm viewing on a big smart TV, and It's just like looking at two people who are really there. Whatever Loyd does is a pleasure to watch, but thanks to Tibor, the production is superb and well... gracious.

I was born in the jw organization but I never were baptized although I was close for it but thanks to this type of channels I wake up and I stop going to meetings and had nightmares about the Armageddon

Great interview with the ever mysterious (yet gracious!) Tibor (he's always lurking somewhere in the background!). It's nice to find out a bit about him & his own background, & what his views are of the work that he does on the channel. He seems like a nice person - loyal, & committed to what the channel is doing, & helping people. Keep up the good work, both of you!

Also, I’ve been exjw for so long it’s almost a mute point for me but I was raised as one so they did hijack my entire childhood and my sister is still one and so those two things combine inspire me to tune in and follow along with the apostate movement, mostly on twitter but also on CZcams.
I caught the “scandal” and heard all the details, not that it was any of my business.
I am so grateful you didn’t let this stop you from doing the work you do Lloyd. No one else that I have come across speaks so clearly and articulately regarding this dangerous and destructive cult. You’re a much needed voice in this world helping many more than you probably even realize.
As soon as I hear people speaking negatively about you, I unfollow or unsubscribe.

Did this change at the last minute bc I was expecting something about the Arizona 9 or Philadelphia 9 on JW Watch or something similar. Interesting to meet the man behind the camera though. I had actually assumed Tibor had no JW connections, really surprised that his Mum had a very fleeting encounter with them when he was young. I'm guessing you guys can't see comments live, but it would be interesting to know how everything changed with the big staff turnover - suddenly going from several people to being the only or main person, so that the JW Watch & Live episodes no longer had so much to manage at once, but also less hands on deck. Would be interesting hearing you both talk about how things have changed, adaptions, future proofing, etc. Any CZcams channel with two paid staff with a pro editor is an achievement, the practical side of how things have been managed during change would have have been good to hear.

I have never been a JW. In fact, I'm an Athiest, but I'm fascinated by the inner workings of the cult and by the experiences of those who have managed to escape its clutches.

Which did you consult, Your brain or your heart?
I ask because It seems that supreme genius Holy Spirit came to me with the wisdom of several cute little quit smoking methods all in one single morning. Instead of being like the Strict & Stern parent, they are the opposite. They have a Pleasant & Playful quit smoking mindset. What would you do? Should I consider the methods as silly, and toss them?
