I was first involved with the JWs in the late 1950s. Told not to bother about. Marriage or going to university as big bad A was just around the corner, I think it was in 1958. BUT I was determined to go to obtain a good degree and well paid job. Around the same time I fell in love with a really nice brother who had the same attitudes and interests as I had. We travelled to many countries together during the long summers, taking odd jobs in various places. Four years later , i was fully qualified and set a date for our wedding. We both had good jobs, so being comfortable financially, we both a big cottage in a rural area and set about restoring it. It took 17 years to repair and restore and wow it looked brilliant. So for around twenty-four years, we struggled along with the JWs, but gradually we both "woke up" together and simply walked away from what had so many years we had called "the truth" .We had done many hours of research and were fully understanding all the lies and deceit. What a great feeling! All that happened before the internet. Fortunately when the children were old enough to understand we had simply walked away to freedom. I am so glad I didn't follow the advice I was given in 1958!!!

Very brave to ask these questions because despite what Jehovah's witnesses teach there is a lot of politics within the congregations and depending on who you come before to ask these questions may depend on possible discipline. He had no authority and was given no authority to interpret a Catholic Trinitarian book, and to have said that they error'd for over a millenia (he preached a new gospel, one that should be rejected) I ask Witnesses who come to the door: - Do you believe that God inspired the writers of the New Testament? Witnesses always answer yes. I then ask: Do you believe that he also guided those early Christians to know which books were, and were not, part of this New Testament (27 out of some 300+ early Christian writings)? Witnesses always answer yes. I ask too: Do you reject what the Catholic Church articulated at the Council of Nicea in 325 ad, 318 Catholic Bishops articulating the Doctrine of the Trinity? Witness always answer... YES. I answer: It's later Catholic Bishops who first affirmed what books belong in the New Testament, doing so in 393 ad at Hippo and 397 at Carthage. It's from that point on that those 27 books, no more, no less are used as the same canon that we use today. Then I ask: How is it that you believe that They were led by the Holy Spirit, nearly 300 years after the death of the last apostle (when the Church became corrupt), and 70 years after the Council of Nicea? If you believe that they all errored at Nicea, how would you trust them some 70 years later? Witnesses usually answer: *that's a good question.* I answer: It is a good question, one deserving of an answer. I always invite them back to share their answer with me after speaking to their Elders, or researching on their own. I've never, ever had one come back. I have to disagree with most of the comments below, I think both parties showed a lot of respect to each other. The elders where patient with him and allowed him to get his thoughts together and questions out and it seemed to me like they really tried to understand how and why he felt the way he does, the young gentleman also reciprocated that and gave the same respect back by not over talking the elders. They didn’t address his concerns and findings from research, at all. Instead, they asked where he found the information, what he thought of the “faithful slave,” where is he at now, and if he believes this is Jehovah’s org. So for around twenty-four years, we struggled along with the JWs, but gradually we both "woke up" together and simply walked away from what had so many years we had called "the truth" .We had done many hours of research and were fully understanding all the lies and deceit. What a great feeling! All that happened before the internet. Fortunately when the children were old enough to understand we had simply walked away to freedom. I am so glad I didn't follow the advice I was given in 1958!!!

Common sense prevailing, I got out of the Organisation after finding the internet, in for 46years. Now out for 2 and half years.
The silence from these men is deafening, for the most part, while he tells them what he found. Then one man asks, "Is there anything else?" Does there need to be anything else. The 1914 prophecy is entrenched in JW doctrine, and it is undeniable that the JW hierarchy teaches it as "fact". Simple research destroys the 1914 date, and most JWs just ignore the truth. So sad.
Then there's the child molestation issue that sickens me. The leadership shows obvious loyalty to the organization over the well-being of their own children. That is something they will pay for on Judgement Day. Jesus said something about harming these little ones, didn't He?

The WT/Governing Body striped us of our personal self, our freedom to choose a higher education, celebrate holidays, accepting a blood transfusion, shunning friends and family.
We became their slaves by knocking on doors disguised as a "life saving work" in order to further their agenda of accumulating their riches on earth. This is done by means of their real estate, land, hotels, apartments, houses, cars, boats, yachts, private jets and the list goes on and on!

Very brave to ask these questions because despite what Jehovah's witnesses teach there is a lot of politics within the congregations and depending on who you come before to ask these questions may depend on possible discipline. I liked the question about changing the "truth". "What happens if someone disagrees with that "truth" before it was changed"? If someone was disfellowshipped over they should automatically be reinstated. But that never happened because DFing is about extortion and coercion.

The Watchtower misinterprets a Catholic Book, the bible, the writings themselves decided as scripture by late 4th century Catholic Bishops, *all Trinitarians.* Catholic's took the original writings, copied them, translated them, and guarded the meaning of the text. Charles Taze Russell wouldn't come along for another 1800+ years. He had no authority and was given no authority to interpret a Catholic Trinitarian book, and to have said that they error'd for over a millenia (he preached a new gospel, one that should be rejected)
I ask Witnesses who come to the door:
- Do you believe that God inspired the writers of the New Testament? Witnesses always answer yes.
I then ask:
Do you believe that he also guided those early Christians to know which books were, and were not, part of this New Testament (27 out of some 300+ early Christian writings)?
Witnesses always answer yes.
I ask too:
Do you reject what the Catholic Church articulated at the Council of Nicea in 325 ad, 318 Catholic Bishops articulating the Doctrine of the Trinity?
Witness always answer... YES.
I answer:
It's later Catholic Bishops who first affirmed what books belong in the New Testament, doing so in 393 ad at Hippo and 397 at Carthage. It's from that point on that those 27 books, no more, no less are used as the same canon that we use today.
Then I ask:
How is it that you believe that They were led by the Holy Spirit, nearly 300 years after the death of the last apostle (when the Church became corrupt), and 70 years after the Council of Nicea? If you believe that they all errored at Nicea, how would you trust them some 70 years later?
Witnesses usually answer: *that's a good question.*
I answer: It is a good question, one deserving of an answer.
I always invite them back to share their answer with me after speaking to their Elders, or researching on their own. I've never, ever had one come back. If the Organization has the truth, I would think someone would have done so.

In Ray Franz's book, _Crisis of Conscious_ he comments that none of the translators of the New World Translation bible had any formal education in either biblical Greek or Hebrew. So the WT trusted uneducated men to translate their bible, which of course leads to all kinds of problems. Accepting their translation is like going to the Walmart greeter and having them perform open heart surgery.
It's amazing how many Christians have no clue how much the Pope and the Catholic church sculpted what would be the bible. And how they left out the Gospel of St Thomas who wrote about Jesus and how the kingdom of god is not in building made of wood and brick. It's inside us. That would not allow the Catholic church to have all the power it did for so many years. Or any church for that matter.

Very true. The list of what books belong in the bible, is not found in the bible. One defers to an authority _outside_ of scripture to have decided. The WT uses the very same New Testament canon - 27 writings no more, no less as decided by the late 4th century Catholic Church, Bishops meeting in what is today Tunisia. WT thus defers not only to Trinitarians to have decided, but Catholics, who they believed to be all apostates. This is a contradiction the Governing Body has no answer for.

I have to disagree with most of the comments below, I think both parties showed a lot of respect to each other. The elders where patient with him and allowed him to get his thoughts together and questions out and it seemed to me like they really tried to understand how and why he felt the way he does, the young gentleman also reciprocated that and gave the same respect back by not over talking the elders. Remember the Bible warns us to 'get out of her people', that is, false religion. He's clearly showing just a couple of their false teachings but they aren't listening.

These secret recordings are everywhere on CZcams.
They are usually performed by people who have woken up to the 'trooth' after finding out about the deciet, lies, incorrect teachings, and the global child rape pandemic that the Organisation has hid since 1950 like the Catholic Church.
So they record it bravely, so that others can see that the Elders are not interested in hearing what the truth is, they are interested in only one thing..."Do you bleieve that the 8 men called the Fatihful and Discreet Slave?"

These brave people risk everything when they finally decide to leave the Organisation and its the same for exMormons.....they also have tens of thousands of videos on CZcams and secret recordings to show people all about these illegal Kangaroo courts.
