HAY MAKING from A to Z (no talking)

- 2021 season: hay making from beginning to end in Northeast Pennsylvania. This is a late first cut, and weather prohibited to cut all of the fields.
Cutting started about 10am; tedding about 2pm the same day; raking either that same late afternoon or mid-morning next day; flipping windrows around noon; baling starting around 3pm; finished up around 9pm. Total time ~35hours. All weather dependent of course.

Holy cow I didn’t realize you had a double rotary rake?
....bought at auction....and already broken; listen to the terrible sound. I think the gearbox of the first rake is shot.
Do you have any problems with banana shaped bales after going up the chute?
Surprisingly not. But there is a considerable strain on the knots and twine when the bales get released onto the ground, and there are a few bales that come lose at that stage every now and then. That's probably the most annoying thing of using the bale baskets.
