GREAT video. Thinking of getting two baskets myself. Probably have to get new, as second hand units are HARD to find in good condition and aren't cheap. How fast to you go down the road with the pickup truck pulling them loaded?
Finally got two Bale baskets, and in the process now of adding a strong ball coupler. Used the baler with the supplied pin system....it is terrible to attach and disconnect with a pin. Again thanks for the good video...
@@michiganhay7844 Cheers! The ball coupler is what made our bale baskets 'usable'! if I hadn't installed ball couplers I'd have likely sold the bale baskets again. The ball coupler made the basket go from a REAL PITA to a fantastic addition to our hay making. (It's almost criminal that they don't do this ex-works! :)) I'll upload a video showing my incarnation of this modification. It's SOOOOOO simple now to disconnect/attach the bale basket! Again, THANKS for the tip!!!
I have used these EZ Trail baskets for as long as you. I like these baskets but I have always had problems adjusting bales so they are not packed so tight, from the weight of all the bales being pushed up the shoot. Sometimes when the weather is not perfect i would like to be able to adjust the bale so the strings have a little room so the hay can breath. Could you address this problem?
L. Horseman One thing that I did do early on was widened up the bail chute entrance on the bail basket I thought there was way too much binding and construction there I basically heated up the tubes and bent them out and widened the whole chute all the way up so the bales are not squeezed in the chuteI thought maybe it was because of the angle of my baler the bale chute goes down and then the bales had to be bent and pushed up because on the center line baler lthe chute pretty high off the ground what Baler are you using?
Jerry Morgenweck Well this was a repair video but I have multiple videos showing me actually using them and I discuss how they work. If I include that all in one video the video gets far too lengthy for most viewers
I liked the video, you’ve done a lot of stick welding on that. the unpainted welds tho are bothering me tho lol
I have had a E Z trail basket
The downside is you still have to handle them once you get to the barn.

25 to 30 mph no problem. Empty much faster.
Awesome, thanks,

Do the baskets hold as many bales as a thrower wagon?
Corey Acre as many of the small wagons
How many bales can you get in there and what's the make?
