"you know who else spreads diseases? humans!" well, this episode couldn't have aged better. my oh my
It funny that they pretty much predicted the future
Cruise ships with the plague on them, called it.
Over an hour of new Triforce? Fuck Yeah
Omfg, Lewis comparing lying ass politicians to Shaggy repeating "it wasn't me" over and over again was so spot on.
HONEY CAME IN AND SHE CAUGHT ME RED HANDED CREEPING WITH THE GIRL NEXT DOOR
It is widely known, that the highlight of everyone’s week ( or weeks or month ) is the triforce podcast, nothing beats dads talking about random shit
It is known.
No, two dads..and one non dad.
He is an honorary dad.
Lewis is a father to us all
The sad part is that it really is...
Regarding recent events with Turps and Sjin, the conversation following from 1:01:26 is just tragic, that like its their actual friends that new information is out about :((
Its sad what's happening in the world
What Pyrion was thinking of was the theory of spontaneous generation(abiogenesis); the spawning analogy he explained is exactly right, where people used to believe grain and sweaty clothing spawned rodents even in a sealed jar (17th century)
Health & safety advice has had 3 enquiries about mice at work. One concerned a big
infestation that wasn’t being dealt with effectively by the employer; one was the discovery of a corpse on the worktop in the staff kitchen, and because mice are fairly secretive and keep out of our way, if you have a single corpse it’s probably symptomatic of a more extensive problem; and the third was a college refectory that was selling crisps with neat little holes chewed in the packets by the mice in the storeroom; the cashier said that the manager knew it was happening, but was leaving it to the summer break before doing anything! Mice (and rats) in the workplace present a biological hazard and a potentially serious health issue. Cleaning for biological hazards needs to be better and more thorough than for ordinary circumstances; the average damp-rag or spray polish wipe-over is not sufficient to deal with a biological hazard. Bleach solutions are good for killing bacteria, and there are cleaners with bactericides available. But dealing with the infestation, then preventing a recurrence is the aim. Mice don’t just deposit faeces; they are incontinent and dribble all over the place as they go - both are biological hazards. The kitchen is a particularly bad place as it's where food is prepared, so the contamination risks are much higher. Mice in the staff room will get on your desk or elsewhere in your work area, they can fall 8 feet without harm from a suspended ceiling; they can jump and climb well; if you touch contaminated surfaces you can transfer material to elsewhere on your body; get it on your sandwiches or coffee mug, touch your lips, lick your fingers, even rub your eyes - all of which have the possibility to transfer infection.
Some infections mice can pass on in urine are quite nasty and potentially fatal:
Lymphocytic choriomeningitis (LCMV), which is particularly hazardous for pregnant
women - it is linked to foetal damage;
Leptospirosis or Weils Disease - difficult to diagnose initially as it presents like other
respiratory infections; a well-known hazard for sewer and workers on rivers and canals,
unlikely to be diagnosed unless there is the connection to water. No known cure and
usually fatal.
Salmonellosis - responsible for a range of potentially fatal and almost always serious
infections - commonly known as salmonella poisoning, and
Tularemia is a bacterial disease caused by Francisella tularensis and is most commonly
found in wild rodents. Although rare, it can cause osteomyelitis, pericardial infection,
meningitis and pneumonia.
Mice are also a safety hazard - they chew electricity cables to the core, which can cause fires, and in the wrong places, electric shock. Surprisingly, cable-chewing mice and rats seem to avoid being electrocuted although no-one is quite sure how. One USA website claims rodents are responsible for more than one billion dollars damage annually.
Infestation can be a symptom of poor hygiene, poor building quality & maintenance, and poor cleaning standards - these provide mouse heaven; access, a food supply and undisturbed places to nest and breed. One pair of mice can be responsible for several hundred offspring a year over 3-5 generations. A simple inspection for droppings, often under units, and close to walls or piles of files or documents (mice like to run along walls where it is safer) will help identify a problem. If you find droppings, report them to management with the demand that the employer treats infestation seriously and deals with it quickly. Your employer will probably need to take some professional advice from a pest control firm and, unpleasant though it is, get some traps in place. New buildings are as likely to have mice as old ones. If employers don't act quickly, see if you can catch one or two overnight (bait a standard mousetrap with a bit of Mars Bar or peanut butter, and wear some protective gloves to handle the bodies) and show the bodies to management in the morning to encourage some action. If you know the HSE Inspector, drop them an e-mail, though this may not help much.
"Rats of the sky, Seagulls"
Now, I'm in Devon we call pigeons rats with wings and seagulls? Chip stealing, evil, noisy, shitters... amongst other things 😂
One of the Roman baths has a lead lining which has decayed overtime so if you go in it is likely you will get lead posioning. My mate was a volenteer there
uh, i'm pretty sure that you'd have to drink the bath water for the lead in it to have any appreciable affect on you.
Mmm no people used to die cuz their wallpaper had lead in it
rurumeto probably because it got hot, so it emitted some sort of fumes from the lead. Roman baths are pretty cold in comparison
effacice on was
You could get scraped up and get it into your blood
I live in New Zealand and here the amount of road accidents is massively disproportionate to the population of the country. However, in my city there hasn't been a single serious accident involving a person under the age of twenty for years. They just don't do it, it's been nailed into them.
Apple isn’t a tech company, they’re a tax avoidance company that happens to make tech.
Sent from iPad
Feel My Rath apple weren't the company involved in the tax evasion, it was a company called appleby
Apple was a client of Appleby as far as I know
Feel My Rath i agree, they are the worst of all the tech companies and at this point they can get away with murder as long as they release the Iphone Z omega (replied from ipad)
Feel My Rath bought a Google pixel this year. I'm so fucking happy that I never have to deal with iCloud or fucking iTunes ever again. Thank Christ. 2 minute direct cable transfer from my old iPhone and I have all the files on the pixel. Meanwhile if I bought a new iPhone I'd have to fucking spend an hour updating fucking god damn bullshit.
People today have an idea that successful people/companies are allowed to do anything because they're successful. It's why Apple is getting away with this, and it's why nothing will ever change.
I wish they would post these every week but I feel like the fact that they are so rare and short (compared to other podcasts) makes them so much better
WE NEED THE BODEGA BOOK
Silenced Games we really don't (there not that good)
Fucking approved, I'm ready to burn all my skrells on it if I need to
i am inclined to disagree You Tube
You Tube WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU SAYING OF COURSE WE NEED IT
i think bodega is great and so do loads of people hence why the bodega videos have so many views even tho most people hear them in the podcast anyway
I think those brain eating things are actualy mind flayer tadpoles
Absolute perfect timing guys. Just got on a 40 min bus drive
i know most people wont agree with me, but i fricken love driving in really bad weather. i never feel more alive than when i'm white knuckle driving through 2 inches of slush, a torrential rain, or white out blizzard.
god damit now i 've just failed no nut november as soon as i heard sips' fucking voice
legionnaires from uncleaned air conditioning units (cruise ships). if you have mice, you don't have rats - rats drive the mice away.
"'Rich people pay most of the tax,' I hate that saying" - Lewis Brindley the Millionaire
Yeah he's probably had to pay a lot of tax.
is he wrong?
wow youre dumb
Thumbs up for Pyrion's Attenborough voice!
Huge respect for Pyrion this episode :D
A lot of motorway accident are really weird accidents caused by folks that aren't young, such as an elderly person going onto the motorway the wrong way in the middle of the night not realising that they're going the wrong way and thinking "I'll just come off at the next junction." Motorways are the safest places on the road in terms of likelihood of there being a crash, but when a crash does happen, it ain't just a bump!
My favourite moment of my week is when triforce is released :D
So glad you guys spoke about Mindhunters!! Love that show!
i'd not even heard of mindhunters and it sounds right up my alley, i can't wait to marathon it the second this ends
I actually love that this drifted into Triforce Gogglebox 😂
Hey just thought would that be a good charity stream idea for Christmas?? That would be brilliant to watch!
FabulousCookie y e s
That rat beam-down rant - I'm dying
The best part of my month
Hell yeah! Welcome back boys.
That moment you see a new triforce is out
"Shitting on a boat."
The triforce song about Cruises.
I appreciate their interpretations of the parallels between video games and drugs.
You better explain where have you been! I've been waiting for days, weeks! I've never been so scare in my whole life!
The way you guys believe reality TV shows are real is heartwarming
"Fun" Fact: There are populations of rats that have evolved a super high resistance to rat poison.
Love ya guys!
Rats can be attracted to boxes, dependant on the box of course. Kitchens or restaurants use boxes to plant poison in the mouses' food source, or just the use of cats, so i would recommend lewis' landlord to these suggestions.
"The rats of the sky - seagulls." -Sips 2017
"it wasnt me" is the soundtrack to my life
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.......Ive been waiting for this!!!!! ;)
Yeahhhhaaaagh! triforce! welcome back lads!!!!1 whooot!
Listening to the specific podcast when freaking Corona virus is going around
Lol Lewis is a knight radiant it's not about the place it's about the journey.
as a motorcycle rider, that little tiny mention about people who ride motorcycles needing to be aware made me unreasonably happy lol
There are not that many rats in the countryside. maybe your average field mouse, but rats are very human dependant since they've been relying on them to stela their food in their sleep for generations. Some people even say that if humans suddenly disappeared, rats would be the next to go since they never really had to look for food that was already EVERYWHERE :P though I do believe that instinct would kick in just like it would with cats and dogs!
holy crap, i was in baths less than 2 years ago and even drank the spring water there... guess that means ill be brainless soon
I always want to know, the mouths opening and closing is that automated? Or does someone sit and animated by themselves so it matchs up?
Its some automated shit I think
They use a tool that hooks the triangles to the audio waveforms from each person's audio. The louder the noise->the bigger the waveform->the more the triangle moves!
Callum Fox Automated for sure. It would be way too much work to animate it all lol
It's automated. People asked this question when the first triforce came out, you might find more purchase there :)
"owned" said the voices in Rick Welsch's head as the nurse trundled by, ignoring his outbursts until the next shift.
About time!!
Does stick with you for life.
54:15 my dad actually had a stroke while driving once, he destroyed his truck on an overpass support beam and broke his nose really bad, but he got away alright all things considered
God damn i love these
i love these things. putting them on in the background while i just relax in my recliner is pretty great on my day off
fuck yeah bois
I have drunk water from the baths in bath and dont no whether to be skeptical or terrified
The CPC464 was a great machine! :P
A discussion on the future of Rats going on a Paleo diet. Very education for children under 10.
Best fucking podcast.
1:09:10 Check out the documentary "Long Shot" (netflix), where a shoot of CYE plays a role.
Pyrion and his used cars xD
31:33 it's like a fairy tale
For those interested in the delightful effects of Naegleria Fowleri, watch the last two episodes of Season 2 House MD.
Yeah Triforce!
YES BOYS.. I missed you..
Didn't turn in a project and and like 10 pages if homework but watching This I do not feel bad now.
Yeah I am expected to.
ho mega that is true
ho mega can't get help I am already a lost cause.
Pyrion, I don't know how it is in the U.K., but I know that in the U.S. you should never tell them the speed you were going at. Always answer with something along the lines of "I thought I was within the speed limit".
6J0ker9 that just sounds like you knew you were over the limit and are lying. If you are in control and aware you would know what speed you are going, so buy admitting you didn't know how fast you were going is just telling them you weren't paying attention and potentially dangerously driving regardless of your speed.
Im saying in regard to the law, if they can't prove you were going above the speed limit then they can drop it or you can contest it.
You’ve made my Wednesday :3
the plague talk and the sex-pest talk from this one and the previous episode is just rough af now
Pyrion basically designed COVID-19 right here....
yay!
I did the same course in ealing at the age of 18 jeeeesus
New triforce yasssssss
Note for drivers: People IN the circle have right of way. Quit ploughin' into the circle ya whackos!
ThAnK fUcK I'vE BeEn wAiTiNg FuCkInG aGeS lAds
is it 2007 again?
YES
Record divinity!!!!
Pyrion watches countryfile good man
YES YES YES !
FINALLY
The day I watched this podcast was the day that our college had a legionella outbreak
Pyrion is totally correct, the most reckless drivers are elderly. I'm a cyclist and every time a car pulls out on me when I have right of way, every time a driver doesn't check their mirror and almost flattens me, every time a driver doesn't signal... it's always an elderly person. I've never had a problem with a young driver.
Autismo I'm a young person and I've crashed my car 3 times and gotten a speeding ticket at the age of 17.
Fatalismic insurance companies must love you
robin brobjer sad thing is that's not even sarcasm
Where's the fackin' triforce podcast!? and it's over an hour!
This I like
7:30 Lewis starts getting all philosophy/psychology student and is immediately shut down by Pflax and Sips. That's why I love this podcast. Non of that pseudo intellectual nonsense :P
Did someone get what the name of that serial killer series they were talking about?
Mindhunter
Mindhunter was sooooo fucking good
Apple is the 9th richest company. Walmart are first (they own Asda for anyone else in the UK)
fucking finally
Lord Alan Sugar.
Glad to see other people feeling the same about driving. Such a waste of time. Bring on the driverless cars!
Insurance is so high in Britain because Britain is fucking bonkers. It's an opportunity for banks to make more money, so they do and the government doesn't care. In France insurance is incredibly cheap for a young driver, because they tend to claim a lot less - because statistically young drivers get into less accidents, and when they do, they tend to die.
Lol
I just realized Lewis’s nose is a shaven beard
Can someone please count how many times sips says "like" in this ep.
Niall Mutton 999999909099
being a veggie is good for the enviroment
>People say good things about Destiny 2
Sweet summer child
34:23 Can you get away with that ?
Its to throw people off
1:09:54? You guys spoil us
Wait theres beeb a new podcast all this time??
idk man, some rich people like doctors and lawyers are working their fucking asses off for that money and to make them pay half of it in tax is kinda messed up. Maybe I'm too Amerikana.
C4A9X7 it's still a lot of money for them at the end of the day. They can certainly afford to live, have nice things and save. Now me, who earns substantially less than a doctor/lawyer, and works just as hard; still cannot afford to save money and affordable the nicer things.
they went through 10 years of schooling after the high school in the United States, well in the United Staes. Medical and Law School, not only cost a lot so they're in debt until like 50, are super rough and the amount of schooling they do is something I can not take away from them. Also, doctors to help people and save lives, and for that, I think their payment is justified. There's a great video on a UPS truck driver salary versus a doctor and shows that if you want to make money, you don't pick a career in medicine so I respect those guys man
C4A9X7 in that case why can't we have tax breaks for certain professions? The same way we do for certain industries.
Rats are cool
