There are differing levels of OCD. I suffer from chronic anxiety and mild OCD. Diagnosed. OCD doesn't mean it has to be life crippling. OCD is doing things to calm your mind and anxiety. Which is experienced on different levels.
Feels different listening to this in 2022 when 3 people in the yogscast's organization were ousted for 'sexpest' stuff, Turps, Sjin, and Caff. Damn.
When someone reflexively says "that's gay" it's important to remember there is rarely an ill intent. It's a term that means different things in different circles. all sides on these important discussions would benefit from being a bit more light-hearted, and more flexible. People come from different backgrounds, where different words mean different things. When those circles cross getting "offended" is not helpful. Just explain how it makes you feel, and hopefully the other person is accomodating. But at the same time, don't let words have power over you. Don't attach your value or self esteem be defined by another's slang. Each of us is capable of that.

It's so interesting that Pyrion comes off as rough edged, then you realize he has certain empathetic spots in places you'd find it hard to imagine given who he comes off as initially. I think it's great xD.

It's not gambling since the rewards have next to no value. That's why it's so much worse than gambling.
It's totally gambling. Large volumes and minor rewards doesn't make a difference. The examples Sips mentions, Panini stickers, magic the gathering cards, hearthstone packs - those are all gambling. Even buying Kinder surprise eggs is a form of gambling. But they're obviously not all bad to the same degree. Though how to differentiate between them in a fair and logical way is something smarter people will have to figure out.
Korenn In gambling the players have a change to get their money back, but when opening loot boxes the rewards hold next to no value and it's impossible to get your money back.

Oh man...the thing about kids and getting them to do stuff when they don't want to...With my nephew and niece, the easiest way to get one or the other to do something when they don't want to is to get the other to do it...because they both want to do whatever the other is doing, so if one of them is refusing to eat their dinner you can just be like "look at your brother/sister, they're eating their dinner" and then they'll be like "Oh shit, I better get on that too!" without any further argument, it's hilariously adorable.

On the topic of having guests, would you ever have Simon on as maybe a 4th? I feel like he and Lewis were the original but then again I guess they could just make it a yogpod. I just kind of miss Simon's bantering on this sort of format

Hearthstone is no way fine. That is lootboxes in their prime, the only reason that they have been ignored up to now is because the game itself is free.
i feel like league of legends does the loot crate thing very well. You are only permitted to buy a certain amount of chest and keys per day, if you don't want to spend money but still want skins you can still get them by being good at the game and getting honoured.

No joke me and my sister (15 and 10 respectively) LOVED and still do love those old shows like the munsters, gilligans island, I love Lucy, the Andy Griffith Show, they were awesome shows and still are.
Regarding the parade with veterans and scouts, that's an ancient part of military history and culture, having the youth practice celebration of warfare.
I have severe OCD and they are actually right about it, i have a really bizarre fear of 8:45 (i cant even face typing it), every time i hear it i have to look out of my window and blow out all the air behind my teeth for some odd reason. It is really bizare and crippling, although i have got alot of help, such as medication and therapy, along with a supportive family.

Hearthstone is by definition pay to win. If dailies gave more gold or whatever maybe not, but as it stands access to competitive options is linked to time played and money spent.
It’s notable that in hearthstone there’s a guaranteed return... every pack has at least a rare, and every 20 packs in a set will have at least one legendary. Further, they give out “promotional” legendaries like
C’thun or the hero from the last night. I personally believe there should be an option to buy individual cards, especially pivotal cards like class legendaries or epics. It kinda sucks... once you’ve bought in, it’s a lot harder to say no to future products cause you already have ‘almost’ what you need.

Thundercats held up (IMO) but Transformers (original series) didn't.
To be fair, EA removed micro-transactions altogether temporarily, and what most people don't realise is that they have confirmed that full trooper customisation is coming soon, and they simply didn't have it finished in time for release. There's even a bunch of footage of data-mined customisation options.
I'm pretty certain their plan is to re-introduce micro-transactions linked specifically to cosmetics.
I'm depressed and I've run out of heroin...I'm watching this and trying to spend tons of money on loot boxes and IOS games. Now I just feel worse.

I do the quests every day, been saving for a few weeks and I have 1500 gold, probably 2500 by the time Kobolds and Catacombs comes out, and they give you ten packs at the beginning of expansions, so it's possible to get enough to be competitive without paying anything.
That is kind of a dumb argument. If you spend thousands of hours playing a game to get good, you can get owned by a "pay-to-win" chump who spent $200 and has logged 4 hours in game. Brilliant.
