@@ronald1416 well theres a lot of analogies you could make that are mostly at least somewhat accurate. Personally I was thinking about how the universe, and the physical plane is made of god. Even if you were going with the strict doctrine of the church, you can make that viewpoint almost regardless of how you believe in your faith. If everything was all reclaimed into god, reality would cease to exist.
I think about it on other levels too. Such as even regular life forms. More complex life forms like humans (by complex I mean evolutionarily complex) take on many small organisms in order to make up the whole that the creature is. Other living things necessarily cause disruptions in their environment, sometimes its destructive to other life forms. Sometimes its destructive to everything including itself.
Back during the Paleoproterozoic era the first bacteria ever figured out how to synthesize oxygen as a byproduct of harnessing the energy from the sun by liberating some of the hydrogen from the waters surrounding it. This new found energy source let these oxygen producing bacteria rapidly overwhelm other bacteria and out competed for resources with their ability to harvest more energy quicker. The problem was although they had recently only over several thousand years discovered the trick to liberate hydrogen and use it, they hadn't had the time to evolve protection to oxygen.
This is getting to wordy so ill cut to the point. They filled most of the planet and over produced oxygen and almost wiped out all life on earth, which was just simple single celled things at the time.
You could analogize the sum collection of different bacteria and species to be a god. Some gods are destructive even to themselves by their very nature, even if there existence is necessary for a short time to use that generative chaos to create new forms of order.
This is all heavily analogistic mind you, and is not meant to be taken literally. However I always find it fascinating when metanarrative overlaps with reality, like when repeated pasterns in story telling from different cultures describe the balance between some sorta dark and light duality (not in a moral sense), and this mirrors how complex systems function in the physical world.
But yeah, I think you get the point.

In some versions of the story Mekhane, aka the Broken God, used his actual heart as a prison for a rival goddess. This unfortunately means that, if he got rebuilt, she would also escape and a war of divine proportions could start.
EDIT: The rival goddess in question is apparently Yaldabaoth, the one the Sarkics worship. The last war between both sides, led to the collapse of the Bronze Age...

- first of All they had the secret help of O5-2
- Calvin had a spear that could kill gods. Pretty hard to stop that.
- the entire team except Calvin died (Adam was saved by fountain water, doesn’t really count) at the hands of the Red Right Hand, which kinda balanced it out
- Aaron Seigel also had a mythical weapon, which really balances it out.
The entire story is basically embodied in the second to last scene, where Calvin and Aaron battle with equally mythical weapons. Calvin with the spear of the nonbeliever, and Aaron with Lucifer’s sword.

I guess OP thought Action would generally be something that would be accompanied with assassinating the leaders of what is possibly one of the most powerful organizations in the entire universe.

I was sitting there playing civ 6 and this just started playing.. again. Every time. I clicked on one SCP video and bam this video again.
I’ve never heard of this and woke up two hours into this video had some dreams of what was going on in the audiobook.
Well, YT loves this vid because it tends to keep viewers watching for, you know, 3 hours? Damn, it took me like twelve hours to read this thing due to the sheer amount of references and all the times I had to backtrack.

As amazing as the Ouroboros Proposal is, the thing that always blows my mind is that it’s literally less than half the story. This series was written by DJKaktus, and he’s implicitly confirmed that yes, it is indeed canon with the Kaktusverse, an even bigger and more ambitious story that’s actively in progress across such articles as SCP-4812 and SCP-6666.

I think it tried a little hard in some places to include literally every single notable SCP/tale. I was waiting for peanut boi to be the final boss or something. I enjoyed it overall but there were some really reaching areas, and the "battles" got far, far too ridiculous to be believable.

It lists the crimes of all the overseers but for 05-2 it just reads
“The Second Overseer: Is complicit.”
Which is a super interesting line that I really like
I might be that Since O5-2 helped Calvin to destroy the Foundation, she did good enough to be excused of her crimes, but since she still continued to work at the Foundation, she is still complicit. But since the Summa Modus Operandi was written at the founding of the Chaos Insurgency, it doesn't make sense.

At first I thought this story was heroic, but after listening to it a few times I realize Calvin is just a petulant child that is mad an SCP killed his mom. He isn't a hero, he's a terrorist. He's every terrible thing the Foundation says about the Chaos Insurgency.

I used to be an amazon delivery driver and would listen to tons of stuff while i drove and your podcast/video series on SCP’s was one of them. I remember spending a whole day listening to this (starting and stopping between deliveries) and loving how it developed over time as i drove from day into night. Thank you for doing these and for keeping entertained during those dark days of mine.

Omg I just listened to this series again and I came up my own interpretation to the last part where Calvin Lucien answers the phone at the end to the Administrator. I feel that Frederick Williams, the original Administrator, was the reason that The Foundation ended up becoming an anomalous idea that took a conscience of its own when " he tugged on the frayed strings of reality.". Listening to what he was saying about how Seigal was the only thing that stood between him and the rest of humanity, it had me thinking about one SCP that really has it out for humanity. So my thought is that The Administrator is The Scarlet King.

I'm so absolutely enamored with the Ouroboros Cycle, it's an absolute masterpiece of a story and I'm definitely reading the full version after listening to this. DJKaktus made me care for these characters and their lives and struggles, after the encounter with 05-3 i was genuinely sad about their fate and that's a big feat for a storyteller. I've grown so cynical with most movies and stories because most of us can smell from a mile away when and which characters are set to die, and fake out deaths have made me unable to care when a character actually dies since I'm constantly expecting that last moment Deus Ex. The writer is brilliant

I think this could be made into a good movie. Seems impossible at first glance, as the story is too grandiose and nuanced at the same time to be presented for a movie audience without context. But with a couple of changes in the pacing, repositioning some of the flashbacks, and some additional exposition, this could be an incredible cinematic piece.
