  • It's not dead yet. Despite the arrival of The Old World and the long break between the last series of games, our Warhammer Fantasy 8th edition Path to Glory campaign continues.
This campaign uses the old sixth edition Path to Glory supplement with the eighth edition rules and army books. Every campaign day will have each of the four members of the gaming group fight the other in a specific scenario, until the last day which will pit everyone against each other in the multiplayer battle.
Here now is the first game in round four, and the scenario for this round is Take and Hold. Warbands are fighting to claim a sacred site in the chaos wastes, but they have to survive ten turns battling their rivals in order to do so.
Our heroes, The Louts of Chaos, are hard living, hard drinking, worshippers of Khorne. They are facing off again against the notorious Tzeentch warband, formerly undivided. Can the Louts survive the hail of magical attacks to bring the sorcerer champion to battle, or will they cut and run to preserve their strength like last time?
If the run length hasn't given it away, watch to find out. More of these campaign games will follow soon, and go ahead and leave a comment if you have any questions, observations or concerns.
First we battle, then we'll beer batter. Khorne, Khorne, Khorne!

Finally another one of these! Best path to glory series out there in my opinion.

As soon as you went through the list of the Tzeentch wizard I just knew from round 1 he was going to target and flat out kill your Leader. You did the right thing 😂.

Good call for the overall survival of the band. Brutal stuff fighting that Warband again.

Oh nice, one of these again. :)

Rough game, but still fun to watch.

Glad to see these guys back again, but that game seemed quite frustrating for you. Did either of you have fun?

I really love the batreps! I've very much enjoyed the campaign. Though I'm generally really not a fan of alpha strikes like that. I get that it's tactical but especially at game sizes like this, it can make a game really unfun for the person who gets alpha struck. I understand I didn't in this case, but it can. Like in this game you went on the retreat and so the game was pretty much over in the first turn of the first round. I only get a game every so often and I feel like if this was my only warhammer game in ages I would be slightly dissapointed.
