FYI, you won't get toxoplasmosis from your cat if you don't eat their poop. If you use a scooper to scoop their poop out and wash your hands thoroughly after, you'll be fine. I have 2 indoor cats and I've had them for years. Got myself tested for toxo last year just for shits and giggles and I was negative. My GP said unless I'm planning to get pregnant anytime soon, I shouldn't be concerned about it if I'm not eating cat poop.

I do rescue and foster! You have to clean the litter box once a day, and keep it in an area that’s not a living space (laundry room, basement, etc). It won’t smell in your house that way, I promise. Also, covered litter boxes are not good for cats
