      Good question. Both belong to different classes of drugs.Aspirin is a NSAID( non steroidal anti inflammatory drug), Plavix is an antiplatelet drug.Aspirin can be used for a variety of symptoms such as fever, pain and inflammation.Aspirin can be also used to prevent clots.Plavix is primarily used to prevent clots.Both reduce heart attacks and strokes.

      The dosage and length of treatment are based on your medical condition and response to treatment. If you are taking this medication to prevent clots after a stent implant or other procedure, take this medication with aspirin for many months to years after the procedure (depending on the procedure/type of stent) as directed by your doctor.

    My sister had this after having a blood clot in her arm. She did seem to be doing well, we were positive she was developing dementia. No one would listen. She then fell, and after a scan was told she had scarring on her brain, multiple brain bleeds, a haematoma, and subarachnoid haemorrhage. She was sent home very confused, lives alone, but had carers. Who to be honest were not great. Eventually she was placed in a nursing home and remains there after being diagnosed with rapid onset dementia, then told she has double dementia, vascular, and all heifers. I do wonder if this drug was the cause, but will never find out.

    • @ThinkYourHealth
      @ThinkYourHealth  Pƙed 3 lety

      Polyps of the gallbladder are typically incidental findings detected during radiologic imaging of the abdomen. Sometimes gallbladder polyps can cause pain in the right upper side of your abdomen.Most gallbladder polyps are benign.The only exception to this are adenomas.The larger the poly, the higher the chance of cancer.(Esp. if over 1cm).Other risk factors are if you are above 50 y/o and if you are of Indian ethnicity.Work up and further surveillance as well ,as depends on these risk factors and whether you have a history of another disease call primary sclerosing cholangitis. If you do have pain in your abdomen or a history of pancreatitis with polyps the generall recommendation would be a surgical intervention.If you don't have pain the, as I mentioned above, further work up would depend on how large your polyp is.
      If I understood you correctly, if someone has low Vitamin D it should be replaced from external sources (food) as well as with Vitamin D supplementation.
      Since, I am not you Doctor and dont have all the details of your history, please talk to your Doctor as she/he can give you appropriate advice given your past medical history.

      Go by what you Doctor is saying, however, if you are having uncontrollable bleed ( such as a bleeding stomach ulcer, or a brain bleed), then in those situations it would have to be stopped to decrease the chances of a further bleed.

      no, you can taper and stop it. However if you are asked to take this medication for heart attack or stroke you should not stop.

    Dr what happens if I accidentally drink 3 Clopidogrel pills?

      Taking an extra 2-3 tablets will likely be not harmful.The half life of this drug is about 6 hours.If you do have any unusual symptoms especially bleeding and bruising contact your Doctor ASAP.

    Hi Doc, i had a heart attack this feb 2022. In march 11 suddenly i have off balance situation. Its been a month after all my med include clodiprogrel. On 4th april doc reduces my med to help with my off balance problem..but till today after 20 days still no change. Doc cannot take out the 2 blood thinner clodiprogrel n asprin. He took out my 2 bp med. It could be the clodiprogrel that causes this off balance prob.

      @ThinkYourHealth  Pƙed 2 lety

      Clopidogrel is usually not associated with balance issues.I would assume that you doctor reduced(took out) your BP medications as he/she thought that they were causing orthostatic hypotension.

      One has to be on either Clopidogrel or Aspirin for life after heart attack. So if your doctor is asking you to take both, then better go to other doctor.
