  • For most people, a diagnosis of HYPERTENSION is a lifelong sentence to daily medication and a likely death from the consequences of high blood pressure. Most doctors believe this to be genetic. Most doctors tell their patients to eat less salt and less fat. This video explores such mythical thinking and FALSE ADVICE and gives you a science-based explanation of the truth behind salt, hypertension and what you can do to get your high blood pressure into remission off medication. TAKE CHARGE OF YOUR OWN HEALTH….NOBODY ELSE SHOULD CARE ABOUT YOU MORE THAN THE PERSON IN THE MIRROR - THIS IS A SELF-HELP VIDEO

My husband regularly measures his blood pressure . Chronically high blood pressure for years , huge carb and junk food addict . Had vertigo for a week and towards the end of it for two consecutive days he fasted , not by choice but because of nausea . On the second day of fasting his blood pressure was normal and vertigo had eased . He thought machine was broken and asked me to redo it a few times . He still doesn’t get it that food contributes to blood pressure because his kidney specialist said “we don’t know what causes it “ hundreds of dollars paid to this corporate schill for pushing drugs that don’t help. And yes he was just told to avoid salt, nothing about sugar or diet

I dropped 35# in 3 months. I’m never hungry. I use redmans real salt on everything. I never used to use any salt. It’s now November of 23, I’ve never felt better and I’ll never take medication again. I eat tons and tons of salt. I always have. I carried salt in my purse for years because I didn't like having to ask for it if I went to a restaurant, especially during Covid. If I have time, I put salt in my coffee together with sucralose and nutpods creamer. I use salt to flavor my pizzas instead of cheese and often add salt, milk and sweetener to my occasional ice cream. I salt my salted peanut butter and stir it in immediately after opening the jar. I prepare at least five or six cups of popcorn for my evening meal and saturate it with salt and nutritional yeast. I eat it with lots of salted, sweetened watermelon. I use it in my yogurt and berries along with a few nuts and sucralose. I'll soon be 76 and my blood pressure is consistently about 112 over 67. I don't take any blood pressure medicine and I'm in good health. What I spend on prescription drugs is persistently less than $100 per year. In a word, I love, love love salt and have little regard for group- think nutritional bandwagons. Some people may have issues with salt. Some people may have issues with gut allergies. I don't believe we should be adopting other people's maladies en mass. That's dumb.

This is fascinating! I had no idea that my carb addiction was driving my high blood pressure all of these years. I remember being scolded about my blood pressure and weight at 10 or 11 years old! I always connected the two. The body is an amazing machine, and I now understand that man's interventions, no matter how well-intentioned, usually make the body's overall health worse. Yes a pill can lower BP or Cholesterol, but if the root cause is not addressed, then it usually makes overall health worse. Kind of like the government, messing up everything it gets involved with!

Searching for the cause of my extreme fatigue and mysterious swings in blood pressure.
I practice a carb free lifestyle...no bread no grains no booze no sugar (no fun except better health)
For many years I've endured the usual pains associated with degenerated bulging discs in my spine, C-6&7, T-1-2-3 and
T 10-11, and now I'm entering the Rheumatoid Arthritis territory which is likely the cause of fatigue coupled with the other pain issues. Was thinking high blood pressure may be related to the PAIN? IDK...
Two weeks ago at 10am my blood pressure
was 180/107 then I checked every hour, went like this.
    11am 175/95
    12pm 158/88 (pain med)
    1pm 153/92
    2pm 151/108
cooked and ate 4 beef patties
    3pm 118/78
    4pm 98/64 (pain med)
    5pm 113/66
    6pm...ate more beef patties
    9pm 110/69 (pain med)
    11pm 94/60
    sleep
Next day it started high and bounced around 140's - 150's/80's - 90's then dropped a little in the evening, weird all day regardless of water or food intake. Fatigue continues, for years I resisted pills, now taking 10mg Hydrocodone for spine pain, works marginally, better than nothing...thankful for relief here.
I've been keeping a daily log for the last week and it is all over the place, although trends higher in the AM..heart rate is also all over the place. As low as 46bpm to 49bpm and high as 90's....weird heart rhythm and skips beats sometimes causing a LOW bpm rate. Gonna see a Dr soon, and likely be offered blood pressure meds...I'd rather correct the cause!
I always start feeling better in the late afternoons or early evening. The RA causes severe pain in THUMBS....hydrocodone does not touch it...helps with the spine a little, better than nothing! Need to find a low carb friendly Dr., the MD I see keeps trying to push statin drugs, I keep saying no way!
Slow to find answers when Dr's are not working with me...they have a pill for everything but do not address the CAUSE. Guaranteed to be offered blood pressure meds FIRST THING instead of referring me to cardiologist...in my opinion I need to see a cardiologist to investigate the CAUSE.

I found this video incredibly valuable I have been suffering from HypOtension for the past 8 months resulting in extreme fatigue an hour so after eating a low carb meal (0-20 carbs). My go to snack food was a few ounces of unsalted pistachios or some times salted almonds For the past 6 months I have been seeing an endocrinologist and I have received battery after battery of tests with almost all parameters in spec with a few just over the high range. Cortisol was on the low side of normal and 2 challenge tests showed normal adrenal, pituitary and hypothalamus response. She finally said that she hadn't a clue what was wrong, prescribed cortisone and said if it doesn't work, see a cardiologist. My standing BP dropped as low as 65/48. I was spending 3 or more hours napping after meals and was feeling totally debilitated. I did add extra salt to my water and cut back my cycling from 30 to 20 miles a day but nothing helped. Last weekend I ran out of pistachios and found a 1/2 lb bag of Stryve biltong at Walmart. Zero carbs and no added sugar, unlike jerky. It was really good and almost the real deal and I consumed the bag in a few days. The following day I no longer felt drowsy after meals the fatigue was almost gone. In addition, I have gone all week without a nap! BP is relatively normal especially between standing and sitting. A recent blood test (8/26) had sodium at 140, Chloride at 106 and potassium at 4.1 and Anion Gap was 13.0, so no obvious deficiency. I was checked yesterday by a cardiologist and my ekg was 100% normal. He did prescribe Midodrine to boost BP when necessary. I was afraid to overdo the salt but after this video I will continue to consume significantly more than I had been. I do check my BP 4 or 5 times daily. I feel your video rationalized my recent experience with additional salt.
    Thanks for the great service!

Great video. My resting heart rate went from in the 90's to 61 in one day after taking salt. What I learnt. I have started taken responsibility of health. Started keto, but have adopted a healthy keto diet (vegetable, and leafy greens as well) and started exercising ( know up to100 miles per week). I was starting to get concerned because my resting heart rate was going up the more weight I lost and the fitter I got. After increasing my salt intake my pulse is normal and I feel great. The lesson I learnt was moving away from a high carb, low fat, low sodium diet to a keto lift style with lots of exercise your salt intake must be adjusted to your new healthier life style.
