  • Ms Hsin-Yi Huang, a PhD Student at Taipei Medical University, Taipei, Taiwan, reviews her article appearing in the August 2022 issue of Mayo Clinic Proceedings, where looking at a total of 15,045 patients of which 1,979 used clopidogrel and 13,066 used aspirin following hospitalization for primary acute ischemic stroke, she found clopidogrel use was associated with significantly lower risk of recurrent acute ischemic stroke, composite cardiovascular events, intracranial hemorrhage, and composite major bleeding events when compared to aspirin use in patients aged 80 years or older.
