I'd say this is the most perfect punk song ever written, except The Ramones have quite a few other perfect songs, so I'll just say this is one of the most perfect punk songs ever written.
For me it's either Loudmouth or I don't want to go down to the basement, which funnily are both very similar as they have no chorus and they come back to back on the first album.
@@johnny2shoes90 Met Tommy some years ago in Charlottesville before an Uncle Monk show. Lucky enough to talk to him for five minutes. He was very humble and gracious. Told him Teenage Lobotomy was my favorite. He said he wrote the lyrics. He also talked about similarity to Ramones music and old bluegrass.
I love Joey's voice! :) And the powerful sound of that guitar.. and that great bass playing.. and that drumming coming with the power of a thunder.. and ALL about them. Simply The Ramones!
You gotta realize Ramones were like from another planet back in the day, refreshing rock n roll compared to Helen Reddy ,styx and all the other crap debbie boone
VINNY MAC well it’s way faster here. I like the bass sound better on the album, it’s hard to compare a live sound to the album version because the album is usually how the band wanted to sound,. I usually just always prefer album versions over live audio recordings. It’s Alive is like the best live album ever though, even though their were probably lots of overdubs.
The producer on the first album made the songs sound too clean, and Johnny hated that. So Johnny fired that fucker after working on their first album only
The band that launched thousands of imitators. It doesn't get much better than the original Ramones lineup playing Loudmouth a year after it was released. They were so important to the history of Rock N Roll. A shame that Joey wasn't able to live long enough to see their induction into that Wenner character's hall.
before the Smiths and the sweaters and that stupid "dance thing" he does, he tried out to sing for Slaughter and the Dogs (not as rawdog as you'd think, at least not always.) Not all Smiths songs are "mellow", either but they were a better singles band. most of the proper lp's are dated and spotty (except Queen is Dead now when can we send him to the desert island???

Johnny Ramone was a punk rock machine, his Mosrites roared with punk energy. Any/every band after 1976 who were any good - were influenced by Ramones. Johnny Ramones sound started the whole UK punk rock movement, most early punk bands in England had never even heard of Iggy Pop but they all knew the first Ramones LP.
It was too thin sounding, and it fed back terribly due to the high output Strat pickup Johnny put in the bridge. That's why it was only used live as a backup guitar. When it wasn't on the road, it served as his practice guitar. He didn't have to worry about feedback at home. I personally think the blue Mosrite Ventures II was the best Johnny ever sounded.
I think there's a punk revival happening. They needn't bother with the image-driven Pistols or the punk-turned-reggae garbage of the Clash, The Ramones are the original and best and are all you need.
this song is the song that got me into the ramones i was listening to the arturo's loft concert with loudmouth as its first song i love this song an this is a good live version of it
saw this live on my TV. I have been a fan ever since, but probably before this. they are at their sonic peak here. you really wonder how they didn't go deaf by age 30.
This is the song that started it all. The “I Wanna Hold Your Hand” of (Punk) Rock. Everything that happened , happened after Ramones said “You’re a Loudmouth Baby, You Better Shadditup”.
I'd say this is the most perfect punk song ever written, except The Ramones have quite a few other perfect songs, so I'll just say this is one of the most perfect punk songs ever written.
I agree.
I think today your love and tomorrow the world is the perfect Ramones song😊
Agreed here too. My all-time favourite Ramones track. I could never understand why they dropped it from their live shows.
Agrreeeee 1000%
For me it's either Loudmouth or I don't want to go down to the basement, which funnily are both very similar as they have no chorus and they come back to back on the first album.
love footage of the Ramones with Tommy...so classic
1967PONTIACGTO Best era of the band in my opinion. (No offense to Marky or Ritchie)
Lee DeMarco Oh hell yeah! Totally agree with you. No doubt
@@Soxfan080 Agreed, the first three albums are their zenith.
Ramones with Tommy is my kinda ramones 🤘🎶🥁

Simply The Ramones!
We love and remember them every day!
The Ramones in their prime.
God what would I give to be 26 in 1977 instead of 2021.. So much raw power in this live show holy shit
I was there, it was amazing
@@scuderiaferrari502 Cheers! I was there also. Amazing then. Amazing now!
No, you'd want to be 15, growing up with all this new music everywhere.
Like I was 😂
Try being 23 Insane in my hometown Nyc

This song definitely is their signature sound with the chord changes
At the height of their powers. Tommy still on drums. Fantastic.
This is better than the studio version by a factor of 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000

That's quite a bit

Classic I grew up with the Ramones. Best times of my life
Best punk band ever ❤
Hard to believe they're all dead
From my Hometown Queens .N.Y. the best band ever. 1 234. Forever
Love that they played Kirchners Rock Concert. Most of the crowd were used to much slower music, and then here comes the RAMONES.....! PURE ENERGY!
I came home with my girlfriend to watch this on TV with my family and parents.
This version and the one from 1975 demo are mindblowing
In there prime for sure. !!!!
Pure energy and grit.
Their best song for me....they sound better live than they did on record.
LOVE THE RAMONES. I WANTED EVERYTHING IS ONE OF MY FAVORITES OF MANY!
Ramones are too cool for words!
I fucking love this band
Man,
When i hear Ramones songs i'm feel so Dumb... It's so great!
AWESOME ! I miss them all.
Morrissey chose Loudmouth as one of his Desert Island Discs, ive got to agree. Probably the best punk song ever written.
TonyStraightEdgeVegan Best comment I have ever read in CZcams
True. He pretended not to like them and all the while harboring an intense, abiding affection for their abrasive ways

And yet? Morrissey also 100% chose that same (desert cream puff)< (deserted island) to be "guy's only" that he wanted to suck off? winky-wink

Waaay ahead of their time. Phenomenal!
Tommy on the drums. Instant thumbs up.

Could this Be the Best video on CZcams?
That Ric sounds pretty fuckin good.

Fast as hell! Saw them once and was blown away!
Outstanding. A+
All 4 gone, all too soon. Long live The Ramones!
This is raw energy ! Awesome live version !
Tommy was fucking amazing
Best drummer! He fucking swings!
it's such a shame the youth of today will never experience music wise what i did aged 16...
rock and roll is nearly dead.too bad
I think there's a punk revival happening. They needn't bother with the image-driven Pistols or the punk-turned-reggae garbage of the Clash, The Ramones are the original and best and are all you need.
hey man im a youth and i fucking love the ramones
I’m 15 and been a fan for 3 years now 😳. I even picked up a guitar and learned from scratch how to play like Johnny
@@idoguitarstuff same here bro its what taught me barre chords
Golden era of The Ramones. Total command of the air molecules in that hall

What a rush!!
0:30 - A rockabilly style "Babe"...
I miss Dee Dee so badly. R.I.P.
As much as i love Moserites , it's nice to see John with something different ...
not too many axemen can grind a Rickenbaker !
I was wondering what that was 🤘
I hate that the It's alive dvd can not be seen on the blu ray player I have for three years
RIP all of them
Ramones sounded best with a Tommy. Love that guy 🤘
Super super!

Apa Carlos !! Buen material !!
Don't understand why this monster wasn't played on the UK '77 tour.
Joey is in top form.
Joey is a KILER !
Tight, loud, fast and live, stripped down, rock and roll
That is why it works soooo well
Johnny really liked this one and it shows
Salve salve Ramones
FUCKIN' AMAZING!!!
OfficialConnerSwift Johnny broke a string on his blue Mosrite during this show and had to use the Rickenbacker the rest of the show
Ah, thanks.
what is the reference of it? I like that guitar
suhijo
I think I read that too in his autobiography Commando!
@@croby must get a copy of that
Tommy era the best era, perfect timing.
That drummer though.
One of the few bands who sound better live, then on their records.
Beto e seu túnel do tempo....
Thubbin' bass!
Maybe were seeing the Ramones at the beginning of their peak
Se imaginan tener 15 años en el 77 y casualmente ver esto en tv.......
Johnny Ramone was using a different color Mosrite guitar!
That girlie dancing to it bwhahahahahaha 😂
É os cara
The original line-up...........cool!
Punk PERFECTION ♠️🔥♠️🔥♠️
Not sure why, but Johnny used two guitars at this show. One of them was his original blue Mosrite, the other was this Rickenbacker 450 model (I think)
Muito massa
Crazy to think they have all passed now.
Has anyone noticed that the guitar and bass are not plugged in?... at that time there were no wireless connections
May the all
