im just some guy in my early 50s that loved the 80s and never grew up, but i am in it.
One of the best damn bands that ever graced our presence. The shot in the arm the music industry needed and the voice of those who didn't have one. I hate cancer and I hate heroin. Things that take away people we love.
if you like this you might like my brothers music. his name is Stu Morris
Dee Dee is an extremely underrated lyricist. Guy wrote straight from his personal life experiences. No matter how tragic and dark.
I already bought and read the book about Joey written by his brother. I will buy the other books too about the Ramones 🤩👍🏼🤠♠️🎸🎼🇨🇭🇫🇷☘️🌺😊
Pom Pom7x7 I found Johnny’s to be really good. Monte Melnicks book was funny. As for Dee Dee’s two books, it’s really hard to determine what was actually real and what wasn’t. Johnny always describes Dee Dee best; “He’s a nut, but a good nut.”
@Dr. Cultys Horror Movie Collection That is a deep cut there. Or Gilbert Ramone?
RIP Joey, Johnny, Dee Dee, and Tommy Ramone👩🎤👩🏻🎤

Me too, i thought about getting their hairstyle about 3 years ago when i started becoming a fan of their music.
@@suprememasteroftheuniverse it's never too late just because the band members die does not mean their music becomes extinct
how it is possible to not knowing someone and still missing them? thanks ramones for literally saving my life, i will miss you till the day im gone
I love how the thumbnail for this video is just a headshot of Weird Al. It's like they put up the wrong video or something. Imagine clicking on a Ramones video and getting, say, "Melanie", or "UHF", or even "Genius In France".
2024 and listening to ramones since 1994. Legends never die!
Ramones para sempre
Never did the world need this song more than now ,god bless the Ramones ,1 of the greatest gifts to the the world of Rock and Roll. 🙏🧨🧨🧨
And you thought that a Ramones song couldn't make you cry
probably my favourite Ramones song.
"I need some courage to find my weakness" that's powerful
The Ramones were here to truly teach us through their music. They left us much too soon. When music was great. Wow. I have tears in my heart.
Sparks at 2:35 - the most underappreciated rock pioneers ever!
@@georgieramone Do you like the song "Don't Go" from the Pleasant Dreams album? Russell Mael from Sparks did the backing vocals on it.
but their apearance it´s funny one says ,pointing "he´s in it" .They did that record with franz ferdinand and apeared again in the summer festivals in Europe one year after they did it with the FFS band
R.I.P The Ramones! Shall they remain kings im Rock n' Roll heaven! 🤘🥲🤘
"What's that you saying, you don't like the Ramones? I think what you saying is you don't like Rock & Roll". Rob McCuen.
3 in the morning. Just watched rock and roll high school for lime the millionth time. Still makes me happy.
Appearing > X, Fishbone, Weird Al Yankovic, Sparks, Berlin, Mary Woronov (actress),The Pandoras, The B-52's, Rodney Bingenheimer (L.A. Radio Dj), Circle Jerks, Toni Basil (singer/Choregrapher), Spinal Tap, Penn & Teller (Magicians) & celebrity impersonators of Michael Jackson & Lionel Ritchie.
Im pretty sure im not the only one who cries when it goes "im looking for, something to belive in"
im 23 and u?
Most underrated under appreciated band ever
3:34 It's no surprise at all that Penn & Teller were involved in this, even if it was just for a second or two. This whole thing rules.
we're sparks and...hes in it
they did great parodies on everything!
September 1980 ... Concert in Cascais Portugal!! The generation of the 80s born in the 60s ..the best generation.
DEE DEE IS A TRUEE LEGEND BREAKS MY HEART TO SEE HIM NOT SMILE IN THE VIDEO
_have yall even been paying attention to the lyrics? this is one of the darkest songs that dee dee ever wrote, and the guys all made it sound super happy._
And I believe it was a smart move to use this song to "mock" USA for Africa, as it is such a deep song about hope and the seek for forgiveness
_It's not one of his darkest songs. It talks about real shit but the melody is intended to spread the message of hope._
@@DarkRecluse read the lyrics for yourself bro, its dark and depressing. i think it was right around the time directly before he went and got clean from drugs and get help with his mental health.
@@jameswarhol442 he got clean multiple times but it was never for longer than at least maybe around ~6 years. he was an on/off junkie. he died from a heroin od *after injecting heroin AFTER ABOUT 6 YEARS OF NOT DOING DRUGS*, meaning that his body wasn't used to drugs anymore, meaning his body took the small dose as an OD worthy amount of dosage.
This song makes me cry. Kind of a sad/happy cry.
2021 e continuamos ouvir os Ramones. Brasil Ramones sempre

Gracias a Rhino por las reediciones que vienen sacando con los discos de Ramones, la mejor banda del planeta
Hi world.
Last time I listen this song I was 17 ,leave my home . I been trying to survive some fucked up things, like everybody does but been lonely so long,no family ,friends ,no couple nothing around just my deepest nightmares.I try to keep on and go for better but gets totally impossible. Been honestly thinking about ended it all now. But here I am, wake up the day I surrender (but who knows why now) I searched some Ramones.
I was thinking about my lifetime searching for someone to make the letter. And this song started, with that speech that I didn't listen before. I feel that life is a sick gift. It just get worst, but for me gets even harder I'm unfortunately alone. I call home after 10 years. 4 calls and nobody answers. I just feel 100% alone and forgotten as never before... why a letter if anyone wants to know and I had anyone to apologize? ... But the song makes me feel anxious about being happy and that was like a little bit of hope from myself through the time.
Now I'm 27 and I'm losing my room apartment. No money to rent no work no friends or family just me and a cat. But That's enough. I'm calling a psychiatrist. I need some help to fight my clinical depression. And I'm not affray cause I had nothing to lose now. Ramones bring me an option and Im taking it for good. I just wanna thank them, somehow, and get it out of my head and make it for real.
Brother - never give up...
I've seen many many comments of the Ramones saving lives which I have never seen on any other band.
Lift yourself up and start kicking ass - what do you have to lose.
F what anyone says - do what you think is right and don't be afraid what others think.
Life is short don't make it shorter.
It's a gift - many kids don't make it to one or two years old.
You have an opportunity.
Maybe you can help others with the same affliction.
Either way - don't waste that gift.
By the way thank you Ramones for knowing that I can be different and enjoy it.
Q grandes los Ramones siempre en mi corazón
Amen to that!
Qué grande RHINO, aguante RAMONES!!!

Ouuuu saudades dos meus amigos das antigas

One of the most punk lyrics ever written:
Ramones - Something To Believe In
By Dee Dee Ramone and Jean Beauvoir
I wish I was someone else
I'm confused, I'm afraid, I hate the loneliness
And there's nowhere to run to
Nothing makes any sense, but I still try my hardest
Take my hand
Please help me man
Cause I'm looking for something to believe in
And I don't know where to start
And I don't know where to begin, to begin
If I was stupid or naive
Trying to achieve what they all call contentedness
If people weren't such dicks and I never made mistakes
Then I could find forgiveness
Take my hand
Please help me man
Cause I'm looking for something to believe in
And I don't know where to start
And I don't know where to begin, oh no
I can't be someone else
I don't feel that it's hopeless
I don't feel that I'm useless
I can't throw it all away
I need some courage to find my weakness
And with your love, I know with all my heart I can win
Cause I'm looking for something to believe in
And I just need something to believe in
I'm looking for something to believe in
And I just need something to believe in
I thought it was I need some courage to fight my weakness. Either way, fucking great stuff!
