Thank you Phil!!! It's good to learn that medleys can get by the copyright blockers. Single-song reactions are nice, but not when they waste Marie's time producing videos that we never get to see.

That is music that came out after the big hair hard rock and metal bands of the 70-80's. Class of 85. I still remember a lot of the songs they did and I loved it. Thank you for making this video!!!!

Great reaction as usual. :-) so many react to so many different Pentatonix, and being a pentaholic, what you have to do is pause at least three four times during the song, then just back it up a bit each time, and talk about the song or the music, as long as you pause a few times for a minute or two, they usually all work. Great job, there's so many Pentatonix I know you would love. There really isn't any bad Pentatonix, some are just better than others.
There are reactors that are putting out Pentatonix videos. I will give you some examples if you are interested in how they avoid being blocked. Fave is probably 'Love Again' or 'Run to You'. Now I think again . . . 'Dreams', 'Blinding Lights'. LOL!! Good review Marie.

My favourite cover of theirs is "Say Something" by Great Big World and Christina Aguilara. My favourite medley is the "Evolution of Music". This medley is pretty good though. It was fun watching you react to this...:-)
I loved how you shouted "NO!" at the end, that's how it is with Pentatonix isn't it. On their other videos if you stop and discuss your views or change the video usually you'll be safe from copyright. On the autotune, that was described as the "Cher Effect" as she is the one that First used it so they honored that.

Oh yes, you once said that you would love to understand how they broke down the parts of the song. There is this Italian, Roberto delli Carri Voice Trainer and he is amazing at breaking down their music. It was is so educational. He did "Hallelujah", "The Sound of Silence" and "Amazing Grace". I found it fascinating to see how complex their music really is. He speaks in Italian but there are English Subtitles. I understand you speak a few languages so maybe you can enjoy his video in his language. Just look up his name and one of PTX's songs that he's covered. I'd love to hear what you think about his analyses of their music.
Some reactors will put a filter over the ptx video and pause frequently. That seems to help them from getting blocked.
Yes, check out some of the videos other reactors have done to songs you've already reacted to and you can see the filters they use to get past the copyright issue.

Even though you did this reaction video 2 yrs ago I hope that you will read this comment. Some of the things you said about this video made me think of other videos they have done. You wondered how they created their mixes. Well , just for fun they did a video of them goofing around to the music of "Frozen". You might want to look that up. It will make you laugh or at least smile.😉Also, you wondered how long it takes them to put these songs together. Sometimes they can do it pretty quickly. They were first seen as a group on an American television show called, "The Sing Off". They have quite a few episodes on there as they had to create a new mix each week (sometimes 2) as there was one episode per week and they won the competition for that season. They actually only formed their group a couple weeks before the show. Mitch, Scott and Kirsten have been friends since children and sang together. They decided to enter The Sing Off competition and they had to find 2 other people to sing with. You can read up on how they found Avi and Kevin. Home Free won on their season as well and I know you like them too. You can look up full episodes or just watch the PTX gang on the show and you might enjoy the judges on the show with their reactions to them.😀

It's the decade when Berlin had the love parade, DJ were amazing and real dance music came out of the boxes.
Dr. Alban, Haddaway, Snap, DJ Bobo, 2Unlimited, Scatman John and a lot more were played in any major club and it was just awesome.

So glad to see another reaction to Pentatonix. I watch a lot of reactions on You Tube and it seems you get blocked if you don't stop the video and react at least 4 times. If you don't it seems you get blocked. Maybe try that and see if it's true.
True - the algorithm automatically scans each new upload and somehow characterizes it numerically so that it can be compared to virtually everything in the YT database. What constitutes a match I don't know but if it comes too close or matches perfectly - block. Putting in comments changes the length and may give your video a different enough fingerprint in the mind of the cold machine - to paraphrase Ayreon. It also makes it more likely to be qualify as fair use. That's not to say that some labels (Sony?) don't police YT manually and intervene themselves of course.

There are different ways to keep a video from getting blocked. One iv seen was a filter over the video that slightly blurs it. But there are a bunch of different ways to do it. Thanks for the reaction.

Great reaction, I did the same thing you did when it ended - “it can’t be over!”. They should do an album of all full versions if these songs, it would be fantastic! They did auto tune because that’s what Cher did when she released the original. PTX only used it to mimic Cher.

Don't give up! There's a way to keep doing it, *somehow!* [One thing that works for many people is to put a 'filter' over the video; the least annoying one (for me, anyway) is to put a very _slight_ blur over the view of the music-vid (others make the view of the music-vid small - maybe 1/8 or 1/10 of the screen), and to pause it, with less than 1 minute between pauses, to make a comment. Not easy, I admit (not to mention silly), but it seems to work for lots of people! And I would *so love* to see you doing PTX reactions again!!
Matt replaced Avi back in 2017, and most of the ones you reacted to and reviewed were their older ones, so you didn't get as much exposure to Matt, really. But they've put out lots of *great* stuff in the last 9 or 10 months ... I would be *ecstatic* (a good vocabulary word!), yes, *ecstatic* if I could watch you react to them!

Loved your reaction to this Marie! Nothing better than watching someone react so enthusiastically to great music. I'd like to recommend for you to react to the song "7 Years" by Sully Erna. He's primarily known for being the singer of the groove metal rock group Godsmack, but for music he wrote that he didn't feel would be a good fit for Godsmack he released as a solo project a few years ago called - Avalon. I think you'd really enjoy it.

I've seen many reactors put a transparent image over the video and say it helps with copyright. Sometimes they pause; sometimes they let it run through. Maybe try that?

Tough to chose one Pentatonix song. I love Little Drummer Buy from 2013, and Bohemian Rhapsody from 2017. I guess my fav would go back to one of my favs from growing up in the 60's, that would be The Sound of Silence. Or, you can pick pretty much any of their songs and I'll be smiling.

Try reacting to "Be My Eyes" by PTX. It is an original song written by Kirstin. It has many reviews on line that haven't been blocked.
