Nice video. Measurements are great, most customers would rather see the branding “in full” with minimal visual reductions. Placing that brand vinyl in the exact center obscured some lettering. A technique called “visual centering” reduces this loss of brand detail. Such as having to cut that small amount from the large lettering in the center and obliterating the small “r” in the word Air. It appears “unfinished”. Most of my customers would have complained and that would have been money out of my pocket on a re-apply. On larger graphics the use of air release vinyls, though it costs a little more, aids greatly in reducing large bubbles. I don’t completely pull the transfer paper until I try and work out as many large bubbles as possible I see. That is the forgiving thing about air release vinyl. Nice Clean work, really clean work. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

That's absolutely right. I was trying to go with exact geometry my whole life. Finally, an artist told me that it is not about the numbers but about how the whole picture looks. I would transfer the decal slightly to the right to make the slit pass between the letters.

You must clean the vehicle thoroughly. And pay special attention to edges rubber seals and back sides of door opening. They can harbor grease, dirt and road grime. Even if it’s a brand new vehicle. Clean it with soap like joy. And water. Dry. Then 91% rubbing Alcohol as a final step. Based on how involved the car washing was. You may have to let dry overnight. Do a final wipe down of rubbing alcohol right before you install the graphic. And use a microfiber lent free towels.

With the right water to soap ratio there may be a 10 minute waiting period with a final squeege with ZERO bubbles and no warranty issues(complaints)for vinyl. Really depends on the graphic material, job and experience level but it can be done quickly with vinyl, no issues. I've been doing it for 12 years. Never had warranty issues. 1080 is done dry or any air release type graphic is done dry.

Plenty of mistakes here. You folded it to get your Centre mark, how were you certain the application tape was evenly cut at either end from the actual graphic? You left no tape at the ends for reference so you could've gone up or down when you pulled the graphic to the ends. You should've taped through the middle that way it's not moving, rather than taping at the top on one end, that's just silly

I gave this a thumbs down, NOT for your install, but for the graphic designers back at the computer. This is a big graphic, meant to be informative while parked or in traffic. The van surface is a given, use it. The biz name letters could have been better spaced (kerning) to avoid spanning the door crack. Also the features: plumbing, heating, air conditioning, could have been stacked in a larger font size for more emphasis.
