Abhishek born with a legacy over his head which is why he never becaame star but if ppl would directly question your insecurities and weakness you can't let them pity you so he chose to play around words and i personally feel nothing wrong in that. I think Pritvi's Opinion on Iranian cinema is a widely acknowledged opinion in world Cinema...For anyone who would like to explore Iranian cinema just follow Abbas Kiarostami's filmography. Pritvi was trained under legendary Girish Kasaravalli ,its no wonder he gave that opinion
Every industry has its own style of movies. He made a general statement that Iranian movies are better. Like in india certain section of people say malyalam and Tamil are best and rest are bad. Which is utter bull shit. Bengali, malyalam, Tamil and some other have subtle and more realistic movies which some people like but they also make some commercial movies. Telugu, kannada, hindi are more easy going, emotional, fictional movies but they also make "art" movies as well.
Problem is some people consider only so called "art" style of movies are art and comercial movies are shit. Don't you think commercial movies like Avatar, top gun, RRR, bahubali, Animal, kgf etc are not have any creativity and art in screenplay, cinematography, CG, music, cast performances etc
You can say "i like certain kind of Films" but cannot say other kind of movies are not "art" when they are also putting creativity in it

@@karthikkumar2972I think he was talking about how much out-of-the-box thinking Iranian cinema does when it comes to story, casting and direction and how rooted they generally are. Art is supposed to have a purpose beyond entertainment. That is where these opinions come from. Also, I think he was speaking about mainstream Indian cinema, which is why Rani ranting about Satyajit Roy was ironic. I think Roy would have agreed with Prithvi here.

I don't think he meant Iranian cinema is better or whatever rani misinterpreted him for. He simply pointed out that india has lot more freedom and resources to take cinema to the level more than a small country like Iran can. Iranian filmmakers face political pressures and lack of support that writers or director need in their work. Despite that they earned the respect of many around the world not just negativity in media surrounding Iran.

I actually sometimes feel bad for Abhijeet. Such an excellent vocalist and his voice went so well with Shahrukh. But for some reason I feel like the kind of trashmouth he is, he must've irked Shahrukh in some way or other. That's why he wasn't seen anymore voicing Shahrukh after the 2000s.
The thing vanga doesn’t understand is people are not coming at him because of their biases or jealousy or other things they simply feel there is a glorification of toxicity and misogyny,he keeps bringing other people’s work to defend his characters toxicity but it’s audiences choice and feelings towards his characters no one knew who he was before so if people are feelings something he can’t shun or reply back based on other peoples work
He is being asked about those statements n people aren’t expressing themselves. They are trying to preach n all. Also, they need to watch the movie before doing it and understand the words they use - misogyny n all.

As much as we love Indian cinema I think we still have a long way to go in order to claim we are the best in the world. Not just Iranian cinema we can look at Korean cinema also for how well their storytelling is in showing emotions in the most raw form

I totally agree with you in regard to all the interviews you mentioned, but specifically 2 of them as i watched them myself. Sandeep Vanga,and rani Mukherjee,. Keep up the good work you always bring to the table.
I think Rani Mukharjee got offended when prithvi gave his genuine opinion on karans films . The statement she made where just a defensive steps to help him emotionally support his filmography.

The problem I find with Vanga’s defence is that he talks about his freedom to create his art, but wants to call out other people and their work, ignoring the fact that even they have a freedom for their art. Aamir khan had shown regret for the objectifying song a decade ago. So bringing that up was just another what about that, which made SRV looked stupid
I don't like vanga's films.
But Bollywood is not a paradise for women.

Rani's take was too out of context. Also Karan pointing out some of his Anthology to prove himself as a better filmmaker was bordeline narcisstic. I, as a cinephile understood where Prithvi was coming from, I highly doubt both Rani or KJo didnt get it and rather took his opinions personally.
When I was in school, I remember reading about Ranbir's interview in a newspaper. How he will not endorse anything that is harmful, unhealthy or ethically wrong. Fast forward to few years later, he was dancing in a Coke cola ad and recently eating Lays chips with his mother quoting ridiculous tag lines like "Isey Kehte hain pyaar". There is a price for everything. The only good people I can think of atm endorsing only things that they believe in is Sachin Tendulkar and maybe Kangana Ranaut.

As in Rani's prithvi:s case, I feel that any actor, actress or anyone who works in any film industry feels theirs or others films to be superior or inferior than any work is travelling in troublesome waters. As an artist you should feel that you have miles to go and you have miles to achieve perfection. If you belive your work or industry to be the best, then you will remain disoriented and never will update yourself. So Rani wake up and try to be updated. Always be at your toes and kindle the fire in you.

I feel, no matter how much we bash them, in the end We love Paisa wasool movies with masala and item numbers and no matter how many times we watch the world cinema, we will get back to the Paisa wasool cinema. Otherwise please tell me, why Pathaan, Gadar and Jawan were blockbusters and people only came to know about a movie like 12th fail when it was off the screens and movies like Mission Raniganj, Bhakshak and Gulmohar are still unknown to many.

When movies like : Dear Zindagi, Chak De India, 3 Idiots, Taare Zameen Par, Rang De Basanti :- they all made records at BO. So doing bare minimum and then blaming on audience is an excuse nothing else. Just research properly, be original and for God's sake have decent CGI thats looks believable.
BTW 12th fail was a hit. The audience did enjoy that movie. Only because some people only give attention to masala movies trailers and not interested in seeing other movies trailers that doesn't mean only commercial movies are doing well.
Bhakshak and Gulmohar were released on OTT whereas mission raniganj trailers were not impressive with bad CGI.People should do the research properly which movies are releasing on ott and which is not.

3:16 I don't think that Abhishek was being cheeky. According the this clip here, Abhishek initially answered it gracefully by saying "Oh, I'd love that" but the journalist was being cheeky by again and again asking the same question. The journalist clearly understood that Abhishek was kidding around the answer, he still went on to ask the question in a different way AGAIN. Abhishek tactfully evaded it (after all it was the promotion of a comedy film). Funny to some, not to others, I guess.
Personal note: It's the end of the era where one male and one female lead carry a movie. The audience is maturing & developing. Journalists need to walk with the times too.

I 100 percent agree on Sandeep opinion. I understand his passion for his work and the validation he needs from all sections. But he should actually just chill at this point and just work on his next and hype it up with its content not his previous works criticism counters which has been declared a successful venture.

Siddharth Anand believed in fighter but what happened to it despite being a much better film then most of his early releases, I think he also doesn't know what went wrong.
I've never been inside an airport or a plane. However, i loved both the Top Gun movies. Too bad Fighter is too technical for me.

Regarding the panmasala ads , its not only these kinds of ads but there are also rummy and betting aps that these celebrities are endorsing 😢 i was shocked when i saw Hrithik was endorsing Rummy circle aps. Its so shocking at one side they are doing roles of police, servicemen and other side they are doing ads of panmasala, gutka🙄😳🙄

I believe every celebrity wants to challenge others opinion without realizing that every individual's thinking is different and irrespective of how much you try to defend your opinion the other person will not change their thoughts. For some people Animal could be the best movie, for others it could be the worst movie. You can say 100 things to defend yourself but it's of no use.

4:00 this particular interview of Tom chacko was a PR work . He acted us his character in movie and how he treat women. The same kinda PR interview done for jaya jaya jaya jaya hai..with basil and dharshana. But here real life Tom chacko was almost same us his character.
I think what Sid anand was trying to say is indeed true. In my home in Village people have not even seen an airport. What he meant was 90% of india which is B and C centers don't watch movies which do not have a pull factor. And tbh they don't have exposure to Netflix or something so one can't think that they'll have the intellect to comprehend certain cinema.

Hrithik's own film with Sid, War: fared way better despite showcasing western sensibilities because it marketed it as an action spectacle! Reducing the films underwhelming performance to the indian audience's lack of exposure is a weak argument in my opinion. One does not realise what a terrible job the makers did to build hype for the film!
