Honestly, current gen celebs don't have that kind of persona and charm. If you look at the initial seasons of Koffee and those celebs, it was a different vibe altogether, even if not much controversial they were smart, eloquent and interesting. Even that Rakhi Sawant episode was good. N this season's best episodes were the Sharmilaji and Zeenat Aman ones.
It was a different vibe coz they had freedom of speaking their minds, they never had the fear of being trolled and boycotted at back of their head before opening their mouths. It was a 'have fun' atmosphere which did not exist anymore
No you're just missing your childhood. Current gen celebs are also eloquent and witty but they're new, fresh and have constant appearances, when another gen will come, this gen will miss the older gen and feel the void. They'll think that the new gen is missing something when it's not, you're just missing their appearances which aren't constant
I believe the show was a snooze fest as.....he invite same people in all his seasons.....i don't what is their creative team thinking there are lots of interesting celebrities like Konkona, radhika apte , tapsee , tabu ,rajkumar rao , kalki ,shobhita , I mean a lot them.....but he invites same people over nd over again it's so boring

The appeal of orry is that he shouldn't be famous but he somehow is and that exposes how Bollywood operates as an industry and how much you can get away with for having Bollywood connections.

I really like the episodes with veteran female actors through the seasons. Nice to know Sharmila Tagore has been added to the roster. He’s his best in those episodes (when he’s not interrupting, of course)

@@TriedRefusedProductionsI differ to agree here slightly. I recently saw Vidya Balan's interview Beer biceps and it felt heavenly. The problem is Karan do not entertain such people. He is happy to only get the same people always. Not all celen interviews are boring.

Jammy rightfully pointed about the fact that on early seasons since he was chatting with his contemporaries those chats seem more organic and not cringe. Thats why this year I personally enjoyed episodes which had older generation actors . Also younger celebs barring his Dharma group don't seem to have candid chats. They seem more guarded and only talk about points which are PR approved despite how hard Karan tries to coax a different answer. Having said this it still is a guilty pleasure and I think we all do end up watching it.
But he brings same guests over nd over again.....bring new faces nd combinations....that would make show interesting

@@aditikule2482 you are right . Also why are they doing it every year. Earlier the seasons used to come after gap of 3 or more years so even with same guests at least conversation used to be new because some time had already passed . If they plan to do it every year then yes new guests are needed.
People then has not caught up with KJO's real intentions. Now he has no options but to hangout with has beens or wannabes. RS and DP came for RARKPK sake. 😂😂😂

For me Orry is first person who is famous for being famous. Previously atleast we knew what that person does this time with this guy nobody knows and he takes pride in it. Whatever I know about Orry is against my will. It scares me that social media marketing has potential nowadays to literally occupy your mindspace despite you not wanting to be a part of any of it. Unnecessary wastage of energy and attention.

In last season, Koffee with Karan crossed the line from being fun to being obsessed with celebrities in their bedrooms and their unmentionables. I made an intentional choice to not watch the new season fearful of what would come next.

5:50 reminded me of this one video where kanan gill or kenny saying how when someone gets famous for something, ppl don't want them to do anything else but also get bored of them very easily coz they don't do a lot different!

I do agree to the fact that this season was an indeed snoozefest, but at the same time i actually loved how the veterans joined the couch this season. It was such a breath of fresh air to listen to Neetu kapoor, Zeenat Aman and Sharmila Kapoor. Such well spoken people and composed personalities they have.
Having said that pulling in a whole 'Orryism' on the viewers was such a shitty idea tbh cos i don't know at this point who wanted to hear him and his reverence room kind of bullshit.
Koffee with Karan has degreded completely. He should discuss film making, bring good film makers like Hirani, SLB, Rakesh, Zoya, etc and can't understand why there are no big actors such as Srk, Salmaan, Aamir, Hrithik, Akshay, Ranbir, Amitabh, etc. Also, he could bring sometime singers such as Arjit, Shreya, etc. I was not able to tolerate specially the final episode of Orry. Why the hell will you bring him and such stupid panel for judges? I seriously suggest Kjo to watch his initial seasons and understand why his show got following.

i suddenly feel proud of my choices around entertainment arena of having never once watched a single episode of this show, and wont change that in future as well.

Thanks Jammy for enduring these for us so we don’t have to. I watched the first episode and wasn’t able to stand it so I gave this season a skip. The only episode I was somewhat excited for was the one with Tabu (who was supposed to come with Neetu Kapoor) but she was mysteriously dropped from the guest list mid-season. I think previously some random conversation happened and it remained a part of the show , but now what happens any controversial statement becomes so viral on social media so that restrict show to have that cadid conversation and that's just doesn't match with the theme of show
One thing that could be done for now is like shooting the show at one time and then telecasting then the thing happened with show after first episode would not happen.
Classic example of playing a character to the public, not in fact dumbing it down but elevating the social discourse and have an impact on the ground has to be Sasha baron cohen!

I'm not surprised because not everybody who is in karan's circle wants to be on his show anymore. Obviously this show is a platform for only people he considers his friends with every season being repetitive and at times to promote his movies and actors. If the show doesn't follow a predictable pattern of frivolous gossip and controversy then it won't be interesting, which leads to having some random guy like orry.
I miss the older seasons as it was much more fun and something that everyone could watch together ❤
I think in the recent times, the 2 season ago was the best where we saw likes of ayushman, rajkumar rao, diljit, kartik and so many more. This season was a biryani without salt

Really? Fall? It is a celeb gossip show. In fact, the talk about mental health from Deepika, the sibling love of the Deols, and the quiet grace of Sharmilaji were winning points. The conversations were in previous years focusing on affairs and sexual innuendoes. It is toned down now in comparison.

Agreed with every word! I mean why doesnt great actors never make to his shows?? Imagine Orry being on the show while amazing people like Vikrant Massey, Pankaj Tripathi, Shefali Shah, Tilothama, even Ali Fazal, Vijay Verma or Richa Chadha never make it to his couch! Its the same Saras, Jhanvis, Kareenas, Kiaras, Ananyas and Alias coming to the show again and again for just same frevilous discussion of their sex lives and their relationships. Its become boring now!
The only show which I actually enjoyed was the episode of Neetu Singh and Zeenat Amaan. Kajol and Rani episode was fun too. But these Ananyas and Khushi and Jhanvis just gone too superficial and boring.

This was the only season I watched without missing a single episode though I wish I had given the last one a miss. I enjoyed it for most part but wish KJo would let the guests talk more. I loved the season opener with DeepVeer and the episodes with Sharmilaji, Neetuji and Zeenat ma’am. This season was better than the last one coz KJo seemed obsessed with celebs sex lives in that one. At least here he focused more on their life and work. The lesser said about Orry the better. The last episode was a cringe fest thanks to him 🤕
