Ideally, your Jollof should turm out drier than mine. I made mine on a pretty small electric hob (so I could record the video), the heat wasn't high enough to properly distribute throughout the pot. Ensure the base of your pot fits the hob you're using.

I finally heard your voice Sisi Jemimah!.... Keep up the good works my beloved sister, you are blessed and highly favored!
Thank you 😊
You have a very soothing voice and I love it. The audio gives more clarity to your actions, like when you explained that you added that much onions because you love onions. Someone who is new to jollof rice and wants to try your recipe wouldn't know the amount of onions is a personal preference and might be put off from using your recipe. Good job! So keep the audio coming
I'm actually pleased to finally hear the voice behind this channel. Totally in favor of videos with audio. You somehow sound like Chimamanda. ❤️

Yippee!!! Finally got to hear your voice... Good stuff
LOL..Thank you 😊
May I please know the essence of the sliced fresh tomatoes 🍅 & extra butter??
Well done ma, this jollof rice is fantabulus. Please what quatity of ingredients do I need if I want to cook a bag of rice?
What does the butter do for the rice? And for the 1st 20mins what do you set your stove on to cook the rice ?! I love your videos so short and easy and straight to the point
Amazing video, the audio adds a personal touch.
Thank you
This rice is going to taste😋😋
Looks so yummy! I looked at the written recipe online, and it says to use half a can of plum tomatoes, not sure if I should use half or the full can?
Yes, audio recordings work best for me. I’m the type that needs explanation & Orel videos fo that. Thank you.
I like this type of video. Please do more.
I loved the recipe 😁
New subbie. My jollof never tastes the same
I love this. Pls why the addition of the butter and can I add more? Pls what are the substitutes for tatashe or red bell pepper or can I skip using them for my party jollof rice if I can't find them?
You can't use just Tomatoes for Jollof, you definitely need Bell Peppers or the long Tatashe. Butter quantity would depend on how dry your rice ends up after cooking. I add more for Sella Basmati rice, less for long grain.
Well done sis
Thanks for sharing sisi..🙌🙌
You're welcome 😊
I think your audio instructions are great! Do you think it’s possible to make this recipe is the oven instead? I’m cooking this same portion but I don’t have a large enough pot 😢
You are the best💯
Its really looks good.
Thank you
Yes to audio instructions pls

Thank you for the recipe..please did you parboil the rice? Also is it butter salted or unsalted..many thanks
You're welcome. I didnt parboil. It's lightly salted...
More grace is very lovely
Jollof rice with swag.
Thank you Sisi 😁.... please what type of rice did you use .... as I Have only long grain ...Atm
You're welcome. I used long grain rice..
Thanks Sisi jemmimah..please can I substitute the tatashe with shombo
This looks delicious! how much oil does one have to use? can i use a little less oil and get the same taste specially while i am on a strict diet regimen?
I also wanna know
Cooking rice doesn’t need that much oil. I was surprised to see all that oil. Naturally fat makes everything taste better but you don’t have to add that much if you don’t like. The most important thing for rice is the amount of water!
@@raffiart5121 thank you 👍
@@raffiart5121 right.. nigerians really do love their oil.....
First hearing your voice. You are one professional pro. Just wanna let you know you are mega super star in naija. We hear your name, we knw say na baddest good follow. When i say that, i mean i cook real good now cuz i knw u cook great and you can't eat shit👏👏👏mama
Woke up to this lovely comment. Thsnk you so so much for the appreciation. Thank for the support and for taking the time to leave a feedback. God bless you x
Great recipe, but do you have to use that much oil?
Plz a quick one🙏 did u turn all the groundnut oil inside the pot?
Chaiiiii see FOODDDDDDD! 💦
Very helpful, but I think you used teaspoons not tablespoon ?as that would be alot for the salt, thyme etc
Thanks for pointing that out. Definitely teasooons. Just checked.
Do the ingredients in the jollof rice take into consideration the ingredients in the chicken stock?
Please did you parboil the rice or you just wash
Hello please how can i do it when the seasoning isnt enough
I do like them
What else can you use if you don't have white pepper?
Yummy 😍😍
Thanks, is the heat on medium, low or high heat?
Medium-high..
Thank u
