The little "sorry dude" at the end and the constant little tangents and distractions are so genuine and beautiful (dog, cats, soft stuff kind of cute, the gentle kind of cute). The idea that we're all connected and share something is powerful, and you put it amazingly both in words and in actions.
the "sorry dude" is so real, why do the stupid little guys (/affectionate) always just walk off your hand like ik they're so light that the fall doesn't hurt them but as a human just. walking off a cliff casually is still so strange lol
I miss living near nature, I grew up on military bases that often double as nature preserves and I would just intentionally get lost knowing at some point I'll pop out somewhere and navigate myself back home. Now I live in apartments in cities and the closest I get to nature is a popular beach and manicured parks. Someday, I'll find my way back home among the trees, the fungi, & forest critters. But at least i get to visit on occasion when I go camping.
it is still disconcerting to me in those moments when I'm reminded that most humans are not constantly aware of every little thing around them all the time. everything is alive, we are all related, within and without, stretching back through time and forward into futures we cannot imagine... and everything - EVERYTHING - is shimmering with meaning, significance, vibrancy, possibility, change endlessly swirling, each tiny event linked to all others, each being part of every other, apparently separated for a time by occupying this or that organic form but in truth taking part in a shared collaborative exploration of possibility. there is no aliveness as rich as feeling the aliveness of everything else, and knowing it is one and the same. 'civilisation' (as a mindset) has cajoled us into forgetting, losing contact, and it can be hard at times to remember... or to push it away when it catches out attention. we are all connected, our acts are all connected. everything we do matters. everything matters. not because of a 'purpose' or 'right' or 'destiny' but just because. everything you do matters. and it harm none, do what you will. live in peace and wonder.
I, for one, appreciate that I get to be distantly related to corvids, in more than just spirit. What better distinction is there? What more divine image could I be made in than the world around me

I appreciate Astrid's sense of wonder about the world.

This is a merry message, ❤ the “Sorry Dude.” End and the sound of it hitting the loam made it all feel immediate and spontaneous. 👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻
Tulip poplars are cool trees.
The ADHD energy of this fills me with joy

Preach, sister.
I’m part of nature. Everyone tells me I’m a fun guy
I agree 100%. Like people who insist that Tulip Poplars are better than other trees. It's maddening.
As a gay man living in the Midwest, I support both the trees that don't live near me and lesbians. Lol.
