Because you went outside into the weather, you reminded me of how I used to freak out / excite my 1st and 4th grade students. Weather was part of their Science studies. The weirdness came when we covered the water cycle.
As I taught them how the water moves through the cycle, I would point out that this cycle has been going on over and over and over for millions of years, using the same water over and over again. So what does that mean?
(Here's the part that you'll like, given how you love dinosaurs.)
The same water in a raindrop that fell on you was in a raindrop that fell on a dinosaur (I would usually use the T. rex or triceratops as an example for the kids).
(I would carry that forward, having that raindrop fall on Martin Luther King Jr. (I taught in a school that with a 99.9% African American population), then on one of their parents, then on them. They'd then have to write a story about a raindrop falling on a dinosaur, then a historical figure, then on them.)
