Mint Mobile vs T-Mobile 5G Speed Test!

  • This is a speed test between Mint Mobile 5G and T-Mobile 5G on T-Mobile's Ultra Capacity mid-band 5G network (band n41). Get Mint Mobile here -mint-mobile.58dp.net/oxv2m ⬇︎ SHOW MORE ⬇︎
Both Mint Mobile and T-Mobile use the T-Mobile network for coverage. In this test I compare 5G speeds and performance on the new iPhone 13.
Both plans get excellent speeds when the tests are run individually. However, when the tests are run at the same time Mint Mobile has slower speeds because it is deprioritized on the T-Mobile network.
In my Ultimate T-Mobile Speed Test video, I found that MVNOs had about 33% speed when the network was busy. In this test on T-Mobile's Ultra Capacity 5G network, I found that Mint Mobile got about 66% the speed of Magenta MAX. This suggests T-Mobile is not slowing down deprioritized connections as much on their Ultra Capacity 5G network.

I’m considering switching my phone to Mint but leaving my wife and brother on T-mobile. Mint’s “unlimited “ plan for 30 bucks a month is a ridiculous deal in my opinion I don’t need all the free stuff. I like it, don’t get me wrong T mobile Tuesdays are awesome to wake up to, but when I can save about half the cost for Mint versus T mobile for essentially the same service there aren’t a lot of downsides to me. I did Mint’s free 7 day trial to see how the signal strength compared and it was almost identical, with mint actually getting better service( which was weird) versus T mobile.

I think you and many people are looking at this the wrong way. Any connection getting a solid, reliable, 100mb/sec+ down is going to handle what 90%+ of the public uses their phones for without issue. Knowing that, the conversation then turns to what each service costs where Mint obviously shines. Its like driving a Ferrari or a Honda Accord in traffic. The Ferrari has crazy performance specs, but the less sexy Honda will accomplish the job just as well (given the scenario) while saving the owner a couple hundred grand. Deprioritization is the only thing that can screw up that equation, but I've seen very little of it most of the time on my Mint account.

That's a shame. T-Mobile 5g UC download speeds are 50 mbps and 5g is 25 mbps. I pay $90 a month. T-Mobile 5g and 5g UC is extremely slow. I have not tried it in a rural area. Only I urban areas and suburban areas. So slow. Can't even get 75 Mbps.

Honestly Stetson I think the T-Mobile 5G beat mint Mobile because T mobile because honestly I have to moto g stylus 5G on Metro by T-Mobile and as I saw from the T-Mobile speed test itself I'm actually getting the exact same exact 5g speeds and 5G performance which is the same as the actual T-Mobile speed test on the right though so I'm actually getting the exact same 5G speeds T-Mobile themselves is getting on Metro which I never really expected that though so my speeds are literally copying T-Mobile with the download speeds in the upload speed so it's I honestly T-Mobile itself is very fast and I like how they gave that spectrum to Metro to give people access to 5G with them including myself even though my area has the ultra capacity 5G which is right aligned with T-Mobile directly with what you showed with the speeds from them
