Congrats on T-Mobile partnership
Yep
@PANDA GAMING OFFICIAL it's actually Mbps
@PANDA GAMING OFFICIAL 50mb per seconds and its not good? just how fast your home internet is?
@@dons1643 yes mega bits which means 1 mega bite =1/8
@PANDA GAMING OFFICIAL you only need 25 Mbps for 4k streaming and you got 400 Mbps
Congrats on getting a big sponsor, but the testing for TMO needs to be called to question.
-Stores always get priority signal to help convert new customers
-Device IMEI could also get priority connection.
-Who chose the locations for testing?
Lol
good points, but,,, those speeds are as fast as my Home wifi - I'm only getting about 20Mbs on my tmobile in Raleigh NC WOW I've got to go in to my nearest tmo store,,, grandfathered in from old Tmo One Plan, think I may be limited to 3G speeds, ? and compared to these results I may be ... @@dons1643 I hit the 50GB deprioritization recently on SimpleChoice unlimited after backing up my Note 9. The service became almost unusable right after the text message warning. 3 years ago you used to not be able to tell deprioritization and that's when they had much less spectrum
I agree
Just switched to T-Mobile here in Michigan on the iPhone 12 in a small town and 5G is everywhere very impressed especially because i switched from Verizon.
I personally am extremely disappointed in their 5G coverage. I was switching from Verizon to T-Mobile because I heard they had the best 5G coverage but oh boy was I wrong. And my home I barely get one bar of 5G before it switches to 4G
What phone where you running?
@@thomascobb5514 iPhone 12
@@collins3919 There was a problem with some software after iOS 14.5 they fixed a problem with modems and my bars went to 2 to 3 of 5G everywhere i believe it was the new iPhone and not the network.
@@thomascobb5514 that could be a possibility.
I barely get any 5G coverage in my home. I’m very disappointed in their coverage
From my experience 5G is just make to believe not a true 5
Its nice seeing you outside.
Can't wait for your 1million sub😊
I live in Chico TX, just about a hour outside of fort worth and was wondering if I could get 5G or no?
I really like to see Live Twitch Broadcasting on the go.
yo when are you doing the unboxing on the Galaxy s21+
The funny thing is if I use Metro by T-Mobile on 4G as soon as I hit 35 gig threshold data de-prioritization kicks in I can tell. With 5g I can tell however not nearly as much. Now if they would just get 5g hotspot devices and service . I am hopeful by next year they would do exactly that.
Most places in Chicago it’s only about 30-40mbps faster from my testing. Neighborhoods - Jefferson Park, Elmwood Park, O’Hare area, Norridge, Rosemont, River Grove, Melrose Park just to name a few. It does seem to help with congestion though and that’s the only real world advantage I’d give it atm. Not something you need though... LTE speeds in the first place are supposed to be better than advertised but due to many factors they aren’t.
Overall though T-Mobile is wayyyy better now in Chicago in general used to be pretty bad just a few years ago like I would only get good speeds when I traveled to rural Indiana just outside Chicago. A part of it could be the Sprint merger as well since Sprint was always the best in terms of speeds in Chicago beating out everyone else.
I’m switching from Spectrum mobile to T-Mobile’s magenta max plan for my phone and tablet. Looking forward to these awesome speeds and truly unlimited data! Was previously with T-Mobile for about 12 years
I was thinking about Spectrum because of their deals for $29/mo unlimited, guess their speeds aren't as fast as this???
@@dons1643 they use the verizon network
Great video. Verizon is my Carrier out here in Oceanside Ca. Stay safe brother 🙏
Tim, Orleans/Grand!!! Was this on the new Magenta Max Plan from T-Mobile???
It doesn't matter what plan you are on...it will still be 5G.
I have 2 issues : I need to use VOIP phone and, in spite that the settings says wifi preferred calling, I added the SIP account but it doesn't activate or doesn't ask me if I I want to use regular phone or SIP phone.
Also, It has 5G channel N41 which is the one T-mobile uses but, although I am in Miami, it does not show connection in 5G.
This is a A716B/DS unlocked.
Does anhave any Idea of these issues ? Thank you.
...how am i just now finding out you are from the city? nice vid
That'd be great speed, that's faster than most homes. I work for another carrier and we are fast but not that fast
I live near Chicago so I'm really happy he went to Chicago to test tmobile 5g out
It’s great to see what T-Mobile has created in the US. In Germany, it’s rather lackluster but T-Mobile is improving that here as well at a rapid pace.
That's crazy, you get better upload/download speeds outside the city than I do in my own dorm, crazy to see what the future holds before us
The test in the T-Mobile store, was that mmWave?
Yup, it said so in the fine print at the bottom of the screen during the test.
A phone getting 1Gbit, on a mobile network much less, is super impressive!
I am always waiting for your video
wonder to see uploading speed in 5g rather downloading speed at T mobile office is awesome
Funny to see most of the video were outdoor and inside Tmo store.
How about the *REAL* speed inside you're home/apartment
Good video. How did you do all that without getting shot or robbed?
T-mobile is killing it wow
your 3.3 GB file should be downloaded within seconds with 400MB/s speed but it didn’t. I have a question how these speed measure?? Mine also shows 50MB/s but never deliver while downloading
Megabytes and megabits are different. A 3.3gigabyte file will take a while to download on a 400Mbps (50 megabytes per second)
I have the iPhone 12pro. Recently changed from sprint sim to T-Mobile sim. 5G at my home and at work. Once I switch to the T-Mobile sim, data speed was slower! Lol do not switch yet!!
Thank you for making this video sir.
Why no ine in usa use net speed in status bar i want to see how much mb/s get that from phone
How come every time my t-mobile s21 ultra says 5g I only get like 25mbs?
bc some places have less 5g then others
Because he's being paid to stand in the best possible spots.
I had Verizon on prepaid and was still charged a activation fee of 35 and other bs fees on top and I did it because I wanted to see what the hype with Verizon was and used it for 3 months, on every bill came added bs feeds and since its a prepaid I stopped paying the next month and was charge a penalty/more fees for not properly going into the store and canceling it even tho I had prepaid. Nothing but bs feeds and headaches. I'm been using AT&T got the elite plan 50 a month NO taxes and NO bs feed, no headaches, aw I'm healthier now. I'm going a try T-Mobile.
Why did at&t come up as a service on that last speed test? 😅
Me and my family have finally switched to T-Mobile from AT&T, I was doing a SpeedTest with 5G standalone in DFW, I was getting about 800 Mbsp, that is blazing fast speeds
Do a video on a water cooled gaming pc build I want to see how to do a water gaming pc build
I guess you have to be on michigan av for good service I have the s21 ultra and my service sucks they told me use 4g for a while it works a little brtter
What about comparisons inside houses and buildings
I have T-mobile but my 5G speeds around Scranton PA are around 100mbs and I have the S21 ultra lol but I guess mountains can affect signals and speed. But around my parents I have almost no signal
Patrick’s debut! Haha
What phone did you test Verizon on?
It looked like the same phone to me.
Tmobile speed is different depending on where you are
Bro, I live in lombard/Glen Ellyn.
If you are in suburbs let me know, I will be more than happy to help you shoot or anything
I'm on the mobile with an s20 ultra but when I speed test it the 5g comes in slower then 4g at 17 mbps download and .90 upload why is the 5g so slow?

I’m not even an American so I don’t have T-Mobile & I’m an iPhone 12 Pro user in an area where there is no 5G yet I’m watching this video (on that phone over wifi) because Tim is just so damn handsome and I love to watch his content!
Thanks Tim 🙂
Good News for Us, as We Have
TMobile 👍🏻,

T Mobile won every test. Amazing, because T Mobile uses a much slower form of 5G, than Verizon. I have T Mobile and I’m very happy with it, but this is ridiculous.
Not on mid band. T-Mobile has tons of 2.5 GHz which is wider channels than what Verizon has. Vz just bought a crap load of C band so they’ll be hitting some amazing speeds in a few years
T-mobile been winning speed test like for the last 7 years but there service there still number 3 in service. I was with T-mobile 7 years if u drive trucks or go to the cabins or in the mountains T-mobile sucks big time. I'm with Verizon now there high as a kite but I'm almost never without service or internet
@@stewmeat92 I pay $60 a month for 2 lines unlimited everything. I live in the middle of a very big city. As far as service, they all are fine. The cost is what keeps me.
@@rickjason215 ya, T-mobile is cool as long as you don't drive trucks or go to rural areas. But I hope T-mobile keeps being hungry because Verizon and AT&T will have to lower prices to keep people from leaving
@@stewmeat92 Verizon will never lower prices that’s why they own track phone for the low prices but Verizon post paid will always be Premium
I live in a rural town and I'm getting 75 down with AT&T prepaid with my new 5G phone! It is a huge leap from only 15 down from my old phone.
How is the signal indoors?
@@gavo_G It goes up to 75 down. I haven't tested it much outdoors. I usually have some form of reception though.
WiFi should be this fast as well and more widely available
I'm in Tulsa I'm not even seeing anything close to that 20 at best
What's the speed in New York City? I plan to get a 5G phone.
I'm on t-mobile in Germany and had like 800 down on 5g. A few seconds in the speed test I already got a data usage warning. Data caps suck!
Damn in the states we have no data cap options if you pay more.
Dann gönn dir Unlimited. Eine Sorge weniger 😉
@@account_3417 bei den Preisen hier. Ne danke 😑
@@Limp0r93 Was heißt denn „bei den Preisen hier“. Ein Unlimited Vertrag kostet hier ohne Einschränkungen 85€, dort 85$. In etwa also das selbe
@@MuddinNYC yeah I have unlimited data it would suck living with limited data...
nice video Tim
Nice advertisement.
Nice jacket Tim
In my area no Verizon 5G, T-mobile yep. Good-bye Verizon, hello T-mobile. With Verizon 4g/lte the best dl speeds I could get were around 150 Mbs, but usually much lower. Now that I'm T-mobile, I typically get around 500 Mbs and better phone service for $5 less per month. T-Mobile is a class act all the way!
T mobile is trash there coverage doesn’t compare to Verizon
verizon and at&t nation wide 5g is literally rebranded 4g its speeds are no better then lte, ive gotten 200 down on verizon 4g before, tmobiles 5g is more of a true 5g not as good as mm wave but a vast improvement over lte
@@moparjr89 right but I get c ban where I live I gotten i 1gig down on Verizon c ban
The headphones he bought couldve been a good unboxing video.
soon as he said Tmobile sponsored i quickly realized "Real world testing" is more like bias testing
btw those arent 5g speeds (
Will all samsung phone get 5g even old once cuz I got note 8 dnt got 5g
It's not something they can update. You need new hardware for that
I believe the note 10 5g and s20 were the first compatible devices everything after that should be good to go
Yeah, you need 5G antenna in your phone for 5G to work.
Let's get real. A 4G tower has a range of around 20 miles. A 5G tower can transmit effectively about 1500 meters (0.9 miles). If you live away from a city center its going to take them at least 5 years to get a tower that close to your house. Right now I have spotty coverage with 4G LTE in many areas, with 2 bars being the norm, and I'm two miles from Los Angeles county. Further, 5G wavelengths attenuate much more than 4G. So as you saw in the video that probably had an antenna at the mall, the house had 1/4 the signal, and that's in T-Mob's demo city! The average in 5G cities is only 56Mb. Further, if you live in Seattle don't bother because every time it rains or fogs up you'll be hard-pressed to hit the 5G tower at the end of the block if you're lucky enough to have a tower at all. I'm really supposed to believe that Verizon, a company with the best 4G coverage which is still inadequate, is going to spend enough money to put 400 antennas (20^2) for every 4G antenna? How about T-Mobile who just recently achieved 4G parity coverage with Verizon? Where's the money coming from? You! The plan is to charge metered cellular rates for every 5G connection, including your home! That's why Verizon sold all its fiber business to Frontier last year! Your home rates will skyrocket to pay for this infrastructure and your connection will be slower at home. Don't be fooled. 5G is for the provider, since it can service 1000x the number of connections at the same cost. So yeah, if you stand under the antenna or you're lucky enough to live right next to the antenna you'll get 465Mb. And the average is 56Mb, and that's twice 4G. But if you're 1000-1600 yards away you'll probably be paying premium prices for 4G speeds, and if its raining, none at all. Meanwhile at home you can already get 1Gb reliably under all conditions and may be able to get 10Gb soon if you have a wire, at normal monthly rates. Cellular? You're going to pay through the nose for all those antennas!
Wow a t-mobile sponsored video with decent data speed. What a surprise!
Is the a speed test or is this a tmobile ad?
Read the description....
Both the wife and I can stream and browse and still don't use over 25 meg download speed. What's the big advantage of 5g? I need unlimited data not more speed.
2:54 t-mobile mmwave which is worse in range then Verizon 5G UWB.
Also 5G UWB is up to 3.4GBPS and avgs around 2GBPS
Which 5g band T-Mobile is using
T Mobile - PLEASE come to Pahrump, NV!!!
You are lucky, sponsored by T-mobile a best phone and network was provided for this video. Try that in New York City. Our 5g acts like 3g.
Thanks
Everyone talks about good network speed and makes videos,
But why doesn't anyone discuss bad networks?
because people get paid to make good reviews
Because they don’t have a connection. Lmao
T-Mobile may not have mmWave everywhere like Verizon, but at least I get up to 500 Mbps in my house.
Lol
I’m in AZ n I personally use T-Mobile since I actually get signal compared to when i was with AT&T, in my old neighborhood AT&T didn’t have a tower in the area but T-Mobile does and in general i get a better signal and faster speeds
Love T-Mobile
I’m from NYC, and T-mobile costumer for over 5 years, but their 5G sucks is slower than the LTE, and we have 5G antenas everywhere, Verizon uses 5GUW, its super fast, I’m really considering to get Verizon, oh and btw T-Mobile 5G with 1300mbps is only inside the stores or a few fts from the store.
is that Magenta® MAX $85 plan ?
Price?
I’m in Chicago. I’d love to give T-Mobile a try. Where’s the hookup T? 😁
There are literally over 150 locations in Chicago, pick one LOL.
There are literally over 150 locations in Chicago, pick one LOL.
That upload speed is pretty weak. I've seen similar upload speeds over 4g here in latvia (however download is much faster I've not seem much more than 150mbps down ever over Latvian 4g)
That was intentional. Prevents people from using 5g to seed torrents xD
Thats AMAZING!! Ive been with Boost Mobile for 2 weeks now, they use T-Mobile 5g towers. I have a Galaxy A32 5g and I get a whole WHOPPING 2MB per second with my 5g network. Isnt that wonderful?????
2GB person second and not 2MB per second
Awesome
How are you still alive in Chicago?
Instantly lost me at "T-Mobile sponsored this video"
What happened to the real world 5g testing indoors?
5G is worse indoors so he wants to get strongest signals and he goes outside for strongest signal.
So glad I left that Chicago overcast and shitty weather
Alright let's go look for a good video on this.
thats really fast my friend got 5g verizon in nj and says its horrible go figure i'm gonna wait bit before i get 5g phone i'm with metro so thats t mbole

speed test of T mobile but on iPhone and Samsung
I get about 45 to 150mbps download on my 5g and almost always below 3 mbps on upload speed no matter the download. Anyone else's 5g like this?
I live in brazil, Rio de Janeiro, and i can acheave 600mbps in 4.5g, so talking about 5g i dont expect nothing less than 1gbps...
The stores has antennas on the roof so that's why so fast
hi Tim like the vids Fam
Wish rural areas could get more 5G
Get that much from being outside and me being inside with mbps. No Ethernet or vpn/dvpn;(
s21 obviously has n260 and n261 support coming from that Tmobile store. the 300mbps is the mid band 5g that most people will get. Still good. However, a lot of people can't afford flagships and the Pixel 4a 5g does not support mmWave 5g n260 and n261 bands. For the 4a 5g customers, they'll get 300mbps max and probably average 25 - 55mbps in high congestion areas.
This video comes off a little snobby testing flagship this flagship that...
Are they both using the same type of 5G, there are as I understand it 5 different types .

Sadly it's not like this everywhere

It's a smart advertisement nonetheless. But speed differs inside home, the wavelength of 5G hates the obstructions like wall, furniture etc, so as long as they don't perfect the wavelength issue I propose not to use the 5G.
