With Mint do you feel like you have better speeds or better coverage than other carriers?
@@thereeltbell3289 Mint Mobile uses the T-Mobile network, and in my area T-Mobile has decent speeds and coverage. Check T-Mobile coverage in your area to see what kind of performance you may be able to expect. I link to great coverage resources on this page: www.bestphoneplans.net/networks/t-mobile#coverage
Very good review what about speed?
I’m the 4% woo
@@StetsonDoggett Mint has always said they use the Verizon network. Did they switch from T-Mobile? They’ve been marketing that since Summer or Fall of 2021 I believe.
Let's go! My dad uses this plan because he listens to a lot of podcasts.
If he does this at home it’s no problem but I have helped people download their podcasts before leaving home through other apps onto their devices. Many people especially my age and older just don’t know.
Wow, that's awesome they're adding more data for each of the plans. I love how great Mint Mobile is. I'm really glad I switched because of you. I can't wait for the changes to come.
Me too! I'm a customer myself and excited about it.
How's the experience been with mint so far , any problems ? How strong is the signal I'm located I'm California and kinda wanna try this out cause paying 60 a month is alot compared to these prices
im sure they did that bc ppl realized it wasnt competitive....
@@saltpepper1894 Stop the bullshit. Give me a link to another carrier that supports 3GB for $15(now it's 4GB).
@@drcola143 25 bucks a month for true unlimited data with visible
Well done, Stetson. You produce a quality video that is very informative and low on blather. I'll be watching more.
Thanks for the REAL review! People don’t understand the throttle issue and being home on wifi makes a huge difference with any carrier. I have had to customize my plan for 7 devices with Verizon and we have different needs. Even though we have unlimited data I still have changed who gets hotspot and who doesn’t. It is really a in-depth work to keep cost down. I have all devices paid for so I have my bill under 200 now
This channel was built around this carrier! Much respected :)
Thanks for your review. Now we will try it at our location to see if it works in our home. So far, only AT&T's network has done this but T-mobile claims they finally improved it in our neighborhood. So we are going to try one of our four phones on their 7 day trial and see if it works.
Gotta say your reviews helped me make the switch to Mint. Great experience 1 month into it.
How about streaming videos on CZcams? Is the video quality still good?
Love your website man! I tell everyone about it so they can find the best plans that work for them!
Thank you, Erik! I appreciate you getting the word out there and helping your friends save money in their cell phone bills :)
I love mint mobile and have been using it for two years now.
Outstanding blog/presentation you put together here on Mint Mobile. A Clean, Informative, articulated blog with quality testing and review analysis.
Wish they. We're all like this.👍
AYY Stetson your boy is here!
Switching to Mint as soon as my current bill is up! Thank you!
I switched 3 lines from T-mobile to Mint Mobile because of your previous Mint Mobile videos. Very informative and helpful!
If I buy a T-Mobile carrier phone will it be compatible with Mint Mobile??
@@kobeboss4268 Hmmm, your phone needs to be unlocked before switching to Mint Mobile.
I think your reviews are great. Id like to ask if you could go over "stand alone" cell service and how it works for Apple Watch not actively connected to an iPhone. Thanks
thanks for putting this together. I just did a Mint review video myself and am curious to hear other opinions! new sub for you!
love Mint! and that adorable haircut
After paying the 2 year contract for an iphone from mint, will i be able to keep the phone if i dont want to upgrade to the newer models?
Great video and no clickbaity thumbnail
Is there a code we can use instead of the link? That way I can use Rakuten, get $10, and the code for $15? What do you think this year super bowl deal will be? Same as Black Friday and last years Súper bowl deal?
Thanks Stetson for the break down on Mint Mobile. I'll wait for the 28th. which is my Mom's 79th. Birthday.
I am with Visible, and from what i been told uses the Verizon tower system, my problem is if i leave town and try to use the M1- in many places i get full bar signals and when i connect to the M1 and try to browse the web - nothing happens - just sits there and never connects to any sites. I get back to my home town and it begins working again with no problems. What could be the problem?
I switched over from Sprint/T-mobile. It was a no brainer! Super easy to set up. I kept my phone number. I will renew to 12 months when my 3 months are up!
How do you like it thus far?
Good video 😊 Love you guys 😁
Is there any way they give you a signal booster? I love mint but I dont have much signal where I live? any tips?
I see that Mint Mobile is making improvements.
I use about 150 gigs a month, but I'm also a truck driver and my cell phone is my primary internet source.
Did you use mint? My phone is also.
@@dylan.-6527
Nope. T-Mobile
Damn Stetson this is a good in-depth content
Thank you!
Hi Stetson. Do you have any videos or have you reviewed Hello Mobile? Looks like they have good plans on the T-Mobile network. What do you think?
super smooth into that VPN ad im not even mad
Hey man great video just have one question when you use all your 5G data how slow does it actually become can it still run apps and send/load things affectively or does it take awhile and buffer?
You know.. I remember dial up.. it is funny how we get used to "fast" speeds ... 5 seconds ends up being 'slow"
What about Hello Mobile? Could you please review this carrier?
How’s the service, such as calls being dropped or not coming through? Texts comes through as should? Also, please tell me this isn’t like sprint service, where is you’re on a call, you can’t be online at the same time?
I LOVE THE MINT MOBILE PLAN!!!
Thats great Stetson! Nice.
Mint's plans are definitely competitive but I think Visible's pricing is still better. If Mint adds Verizon coverage, I might try it. Thanks Stetson 👍
Well...
You're not going to be happy 2 years in the future
Where is the phone sim slot ? I can't find it. What is a e-sim ? Thx's
Do you know any Mobile WiFi device out there that works with the Mint Mobile nano sim card?
Love it so much I’ve paid for the 1yr plus I still had 3 more months left. Plus I’m using the esim when it first came out works great.
It’s actually my “ Burner “ line lol
@@datman2226 what is a burnerline needed and used for?
@@Eugenepanels it’s slang for a line that’s used for illicit activities. Maybe watch the show “ the wire “
@@Eugenepanels for his trap phone
So if I have the $15 plan with 4G data once I use that they throttle the down the speed but I still have data at no charge, if I use a VPN it won't drop the speed on my data because it doesn't recognize that I am using data?
I switched to mint thanks to you and I'm never going back to boost mobile if things remain the same or improve.
@Necho Rey so far no issues in NYC
@Necho Rey hmm just make sure it's covered in your area but should be fine check the map on their site.
Now that sprint and T-Mobile are merging does that mean mint with get more coverage also?
No
@@Ordlnary_Gamer yes
Here on 11/11/2021, Boost under the Sprint umbrella, still hasn't merged with Tmobile, even though last December, they were trying to make all their customers buy new phones. My roommate has Boost and has better service. I took my Metro PC to Colorado from Florida 2020in the summer and very few drop outs except near Native American Tribal Lands. .
How does Mint handle taxes and fees (I do not believe they are rolled into the monthly plan cost)?
Is the unlimited plan 4g lte or just lte data or how much gigabytes does the plan come with cuz I’m so confused
Love your channel great contend.
If I get text and voice only, can I still send pictures via text apps?
Knew this video was coming! 👍
I’m currently paying $180 with T-Mobile for 2 lines. One with the iPhone 12 Pro Max and the 12 mini. If I switch to mint I’m basically paying $120 for 2 lines but then again is with T-Mobile
Does the vpn works with hotspot to use all the data for hotspot?
Hi, may I change my T-mobile card to Mint?
sorry after 3 month contract ... it's mandatory renew it ??? or i could cancel it ??
Stetson can you still get 5g data speeds?
I realize this video is two years old and you may not have it anymore but what is that rectangle shaped thing in front of your mic?
been checking mint mobile out and I'm one of the 15% who go over the 35gb limit, my autistic son requires that grandfathered unlimited 3g hotspot when traveling but this could work for my daughter who's 14 and is getting to 'that age' and may have to let herself into the house after school in the coming months as mom and dad still are at work for a half hour or so.
I just switched from Straight Talk after 8 years! Saving $14 a month and still getting 5GB hotspot access, plus my service is now paid for for until September 2023!. I wont have to pay a cent for phone service until then.
US Mobile just upped their unlimited talk and text data packages. 3.5gb to 5gb for the same price
Switched to Mint last year and I don't think I could go back to another carrier. Was paying sprint 70 for unlimited data and would use rougly 8-12g a month with spotty service. Now I pre-paid my year for 240 in August 2021 and had had the same if not better service than I had with Sprint. I don't think you can expect to downgrade from Verizon service and expect to be blown away but at 1/4 of the price per year its worth giving it a try.
If you stream a lot, won't the recommendation after 3 months be skewed? Streaming in 480p uses much less data then 1080p, so they might recommend a plan that is too low if you don't pay attention to video res settigs
Looks like you missed the part where he talks about that.
The $30 Mint mobile plan have additional fees? or is just $30
I'm thinking of giving mint a try for 3 months.
We are currently paying out the butt for Verizon.
I figure I'll switch and if they work out we can switch the rest of the family.
Can i add more data to the 35GBs?
How can i get the esim?
how to use this instead of cable?
Would a straighttalk phone work.
What if I got bad credit can I able still get mint mobile
I'm on Mint's $15/month 4GB plan, with taxes included, it comes out more to like $17~18ish dollars a month but wanted to say the plan works great for me, I actually don't use much mobile data apparently, but if I ever did run out of 4GB for the month, at the lower 2G/3G unlimited speeds after 4G is gone, I can still stream The Woody Show podcast on iheartradio with the stream buffering or anything so I'm good, also GPS and traffic and navigation work at the lowered speeds also, if Mint released an even bare-er minimum plan like 1GB or 2GB for under $10, I'd totally switch to that. Also spotify and my other music apps, if I'm streaming don't buffer with the 2G/3G speeds, great cheap plan for me
Very competitive pricing and plan.
What's holding that mic up? 🤔
I try test carriers mint service is great and speeds are okay but noticed that Mint has no spam protection I got more spam calls than I do with my regular carrier
Is the data unlimited plan as the cricket wireless plan cuz cricket wireless unlimited plan is way faster then T-Mobile unlimited plan can anybody tell me or say if it’s faster or slower
So after my 3 months of unlimited for $30 a month it goes to $40 a month.... The $25 a month 15gb plan goes to $45 a month after the first three months... WTF.
I was with mint for a couple of months and it was good at first but I could barely get a signal at places since I drive a lot so definitely not worth it. It's only fast at certain places
Mint piggybacks on T-mobile, so, was it spotty because T-mobile degrades the Mint service...or, T-mobile just has bad coverage where you are?
@@gregb5876 nah, metro pcs uses T-mobile as well and their service is amazing. I had it last year
@@LegendsUniverse Metro pcs sucks in my area and while Metro used to have great service in Florida, now it doesn't. It depends where you are and how many towers there are and Tmobile doesn't have that in certain Counties in Florida.
I use mint in NYC for the last two years and I have no issues at all. its great. I love mint mobile.
Mint mobiles plans or their options are confusing it says you can renew 30$ unlimited data plan for 90$ every month I’m so confused and I don’t know what their plans renew works
mint needs to bump it up from 35 to 50 and it will be perfect for me
It's a bit off-topic question, speedtest app got a streaming test feature?
Yes! It’s a brand new feature. It’s really cool.
I actually don’t have it on my iPhone SE. Must be a beta feature (only rolled out to select users.) Hope to get it soon.
So if there is so much extra data why the sales pitch
What is holding up your mic?????
Mint Mobile is great. I've been using it over a year with their annual plan. $180 (4GB) for a whole year.
Bot
sadly - my family and I have had a rough start with Mint Mobile here in Utah. Frequent network disconnects or data speeds so unbelievably slow that it is ridiculous. I've spent hours with support and tried several items without much success. Needless to say - I am NOT a happy customer right now. Yeah, I know, the price is less than half what we were paying for T-Mobile. But even though Mint Mobile is supposedly utilizing T-Mobile infrastructure, we are not having near the same level of experience and quality.
Can someone tell me w/o all the bs, do your live streams get buffered often or not?
What are the negatives off mint mobile?
What is holding his microphone?
your a boss for this video
How do you do test video at 2:11?
I was using the Ookla Speedtest app. The video test is a new feature.
Unlimited data is at 2g speed ...but isn't 2g/3g going away soon?? When that happen, what happens when all high speed data is used up??
Your speed is artificially capped to 2G speeds, or 128Kbps. You are still connected to the LTE or 5G network.
Only issue I have is that they don't have an phone protection plan
Hi Stetson!! I love what you are doing, saving people A LOT of $$!! I have been thinking about getting Visible for a while now, can you do an update for Visible mobile now that 5G is more available? Thanks a lot!! 😁😁😁
Watching this video is already using up my 3gig I need more then 35gig. I don’t have access to any WiFi
Great info thank you will get VPN

Hi god bless have a good one
Question, so it 10gb of data for three months or is it 10 gb refreshed every month
10GB of data refreshed every month.
@@StetsonDoggett woah that’s actually amazing then
When I was on the website it said you needed a credit card but I only have a debit card
Nevermind im dumb
I tried ordering a SIM card but it’s asking for a credit card no debit cards
Most debit cards are debit/visa.
Can you get 2 phones numbers (lines) with them?
Yes, you can. Each line needs to be set up under a separate account first, though. See my video here on how Mint Family works: www.bestphoneplans.net/news/mint-family
@@StetsonDoggett I meant 2 numbers on one phone. I need a business number as well but don't want 2 phones. Sorry I wasn't clear enough
@@TheBigBangChannel if your phone is eSIM compatible, then yes, you should be able to use two numbers. You'd need two accounts, as I mentioned earlier, and what you can do is activate one on eSIM and one using the physical SIM.
I recently switch to mint mobile and I feel like I was being robbed before. This is an amazing service.
Just got a mint mobile ad
Thx
Where's the mint Apple Watch plan going to roll out??
Currently testing Xfinity unlimited. I eat through 20g fast in a week. But I like to livestream IG FB & others , sometimes 2 at time. It drops to 128kpbs I need a steady 2000kbps (even tho I’d like 6-8k kbps. What are the options without breaking the bank? Plus I like to steam 1080 on my iPad
