Fantastic work, Stetson!! Thank you for all your informative efforts in gathering this data! It was through your work that I eventually settled on US Mobile because of their $15 plan that provides roaming AND it can be paid in monthly installments! I made a drive from California all the way to Mountain Home, Arkansas,... and roaming was needed. US Mobile is a GREAT Cell-Service company to do business with!! You sure did a LOT of work condensing so much info into such a wonderful presentation. KUDOS to you, my friend!!
Thank you Stetson for putting together this detailed and amazing video. This video saves me time to compare plans and am looking to switch carriers soon. Keep up the good work!
I'm on tmobile. And had been on their military plan. And just switched to their Magneta Max plan because the military one plan didn't include 5g. I upgraded to a new 5g phone and they offer discounts for military and first responders so it was an easy switch. Helps with better connectivity and I have tmobile home internet because I live in a rural area of Tucson and have crap options for ISP providers. I went from an WISP provider for 100 a month for 25Mbps... to the new gateway and pulling 125-150Mbps. I also plan to add a 2x2 or 4x4 mimo antennas to the gateway. It lacks some software development but I'm hoping they will fix this with firmware updates. So far I'm thrilled to have a better connection and pay less then my WISP provider was charging me.
I had Virgin Mobile which merged with Boost and I hate Boost so I switched to T-Mobile and got the Magenta Max plan along with the iPhone 12 Pro Max. I love this phone and the 5G it’s amazingly fast.
To me the next big step for mvno's, and it's likely a pipe dream, is to do what google fi does. Imagine mint that intuitively hops back and forth from at&t to t mobile or other carriers who offer plans from more than one carrier to get you the best coverage. Maybe they slightly downgrade your data and slightly increase plan cost on a single plan option for those who would go for this?
I pay $125 per month for 5 lines with Cricket. Never had a single issue with slow downs, dropped calls, etc. And my bill is EXACTLY the same every single month. I love it!
Major love and respect from India, although I do not have any need of any of these plans now but as I'm planning to move to the States sometime later, you're content is just a life saver. By the way, really love watching your videos and do keep up the awesome work
Best plan Cricket Wireless. Cricket Wireless owned by AT&T. My plan: Unlimited Max $60 a month. Everything unlimited with 8 to 9 MGpS. Streaming abode 1080p to 2160p and sometimes on 60hz on the choice definition. VoLTE on supported devices. My daily Nokia 7.2 is compatible so yes VoLTE all over the place. And band 12 and 17 are kicking in so my speed is always consistent.
Unlimited hotspot on the visible plan is a godsend if you work from home. Yes it's a little slow but if it means the difference between not working and working you're set.
NET10 $20 a month unlimited talk / text, 2gb a month high speed data, after the 2GB is used, it slows down for internet. I use wifi all the time so I'm always under the 2GB limit. Good coverage.
Stetson, thank you for a well thought out and thoroughly researched video on cell phone plans in a variety of categories. Your attention to detail and thoroughness is impressive. Thank you for all of your work. You gained a new subscriber.
I finally upgraded to TMo's Magenta Max 55+ from the Essentials Plan. Supposedly the speed is faster without capping and there are other perks. So far so good.
I had straight talks $45 a month, prepaid 25 GB plan + 2G speed unlimited after past 25 GB. It only had 480p streaming on Yt, but I found that in my area the coverage is really good so I was able to stream 1080p perfectly fine. Everything worked, and it even has 5G now. I found out after a month I literally only used 4GB since I barely go out anyways. Oppose to when I had AT&T’s $85 plan before. Yes I noticed that AT&T speeds were a lot faster than straight talk, but going from $85 to $45 saved me so much money. Not to mention the plan was postpaid so even if I barely used my data, I still had to pay $85 upfront. Not to mention that there is no contract to worry about.
@StetsonDoggett At 8:39 when you say 10GB of international data roaming is included. I think that only applies to US Mobile customers who get the “Unlimited All” plan only not the 5GB plans with just Unlimited Talk and Text
Thank you for this info Stetson. Been searching and glad I found you. You are such a wealth of information. I have straight talk but am thinking of switching. It is getting very slow connection. I am a retired senior and don't need all the unlimited. New subscriber here.
Yeah I’ve used 1.8 TB of cellular data in the current billing period so far, mainly CZcams. Even if I curbed my viewing habits, Viasat sucks ass so I have no choice but to use cellular hotspot to get internet on my laptop sometimes.
Great video. Thanks for uploading. I think I'll be switching over to AT& T fromm version. I want the new iPhone 12 Max pro 😁. And Verizon will not let me upgrade early 😲
Such a wonderful video providing helpful info of which plans work best for everyone. Thank you for providing closed captioning known as Subtitles helpful for deaf and hard of hearing viewers like me!
Thanks Stetson. You helped me discover the AT&T $300 annual plan. Not only does unused data rollover but if you renew for year 2 you also get 8GB of promotional data each month, i.e. 16GB + unused data from previous month...for the WHOLE YEAR. Because my data usage can very monthly it is common for me to have more than 20GB available for the equivalent of $25/month.
Hey Howard, Is it possible for you to share where you got this information from? I'm currently on the $300 annual AT&T plan as well in year number 1 and I'm not up for renewal until late July this year. I called AT&T to verify the information that you stated about getting an additional 8GB of promotional data if I renew for year 2 but was told that if I decided to renew my play in July for another year that my plan would simply carry over with the same data allowance that I had before and that I would only receive my 8GB of data per month. As you know this is a phenomenal plan but if somehow I could get additional data that would really be the icing on the cake. Thanks in advance Howard!
@@htownsfinest4471 Sure, the offer was made in an official AT&T email sent about 2-3 months prior to my 1st year ending. I'm told to make sure your acct is set with autopay turned OFF. I seem to recall after the email was sent out that I also recv'd a text msg once or twice making the same offer. I forget whether I clicked the link in the AT&T email or the txt message that offered the promo. But I renewed about 2 wks before my 1st year was completed. As you know AT&T sends out a text msg on day 1 of each service month letting you know your plan has been renewed. When my plan renewed ~Oct 1 starting year 2 there was no mention of the 8GB of promo data. I was disappointed but reminded myself that I was happy with the original deal details. But the next renewal msg (Nov 1st? and each month thereafter) did confirm I would have 8GB of promo data and the app/website showed a progress bar for the amount of promo data used. Then there was a 2nd progress bar showing my plan data with the included rollover data. Hope that helps (turn off AUTOPAY)
My plan costs $16/mth I get 120GB of 4G data plus unlimited voice and SMS. I also get 10GB of international data across the EU. I used have truly unlimited data but that cost an outrageous $25/mth so I switched. FYI I use about 100GB/mth. Ireland is not generally considered a low cost country.
Video was great. Very nicely done! I just signed up with ting mobile for a secondary phone service for work. $10 Ting plan, gonna see how that goes. I wish I watched your video before though.
Verizon needs to step up their game! AT&T offering 100GB, T-mobile has been the first carrier since the early 2010s to offer COMPLETELY UNLIMITED data + 4k streaming between both networks. Not to mention, T-mobile still has that gogo wifi on planes and unlimited international data. Maybe, I should've never left AT&T to begin with 4 years ago, but having HBOMAX has been a godsend, and I can it for free you say?... I joined Verizon in October, solely for their network coverage, but I might take me and my 4 lines back to T-mobile/AT&T if they don't step up their game.
Dude this is so helpful. Thank you. Is there any way you could you do a video on, or point me to a video that covers, what exactly the terminology in the video means. Data , priority data, and other things like that.
I have many lines and alot of plans. So far Cricket Wireless is great with it's 5/$130 lines. Metro comes second with it's 5/$150 lines. For a wider range where TMobile or ATT don't have signal, it's Spectrum with it's $45/1 line. If you have data and iPad support tablets or if you just want to pay the least possible for unlimited data, that would be Mint Mobile for $30 a month when you buy the 3 month package
Stetson you have outdone yourself once again. You have the best useable info and recommendations for everyone from an industry expert all the way down me...the guy who knows just enough about this stuff to be dangerous 🙃
@@StetsonDoggett Just wanted to mention this info came at a great time. We are leaving Cricket because they randomly shut off two of our 4 phone lines (android), saying because they were not purchased at Cricket, they are not compatible with their HD Voice, which is just VoLTE. They would not let us port out these numbers and forced us to buy 2 phones from them. Not sure how legal that was, but I am done with them! How is that even legal to shut off someone's paid service in the middle of a paid month?
I just switched from Att most expensive unlimited plan to their 8gb prepaid plan for $300 per year. Wish I’d done it sooner. I’m saving $1200 per year now.
Mint mobile took my $5 and never sent me the trial kit yet I'm waiting on. because they had a great plan T~T. Like lots for what i need in terms of data plus the hotspot.
Switched from Verizon to T-Mobile and the service is unbearable tons of dropped calls and slow internet speeds will be going back to a cheaper Verizon / visible plan
$120 Ultra Mobile Year of service B&H DIY Fast Easy Reliable Re-up in store T-Mobile is the go to Visible Verizon is tempting AT&T is always a reliable option Great work Stets
Thank you, very interesting! I am also surprised about the huge differences between USA and Europe. Let me give you some examples: - There was no word about included phones from the provider. So it looks that none of the plans includes a phone. In Europe you can choose from tons of phones that are included in your plan. Depending on the phone you pay more or less of course. But there also many SIM only plans like I use. - The was no information on the "acceptance period". When you take in Europe a plan that includes a phone then you have normally an acceptance period of 2 years. But of course not when you have a SIM only plan. - Also interesting to hear that not all data can be used over a hotspot. This is not how it is in Europe (at least I can talk about Austria and Germany as I am from Austria). - Generally spoken the plans are cheaper in Europe, even it is different from country to country. E.g. in Austria you can get an unlimited LTE Data only plan for 20 Euro/24 Dollars per month without acceptance period. Plans with 80 or 90 Dollars are almost impossible to find and if you find one, it includes a nice phone, unlimited data and calls/text.
Hi Stetson, I am trying to figure out how to use your code for Visible $40 Unlimited. I have signed up and purchased the plan, but do not know how to link to you. Thank you
Here's a overview about the german prices. We have 3 big providers (Telekom, Vodafone and O2). Every single of them has an unlimited plan but o2 is the cheapest by a lot at just 45€/m full LTE/5G speeds. I myself just got myself a 120gb O2 plan for 35€/m at full LTE/5G speeds. After the 120gb the speed slows down to 64kbps. In the plan you get 12 months sky ticket/netflix. I would say that's quiet a steal
Awesome video!!! How do you get eSIM for the AT&T prepaid plans? Do you have to go to a store? I tried their customer service. They really didn’t have a clue.
I'm here because I need to switch providers desperately. My current provider is incredibly abusive and overpriced. I was thinking about mint mobile. Saw this video and figured I would give it a shot to win a year of free mint mobile
I currently have cricket unlimited. I was thinking of switching to metro by t-moble. What would you recommend that is comparable to the cricket unlimited?
Just switched to US Mobile great w one drawback..cannot send or receive large files, pictures videos using the Samsung messaging app. Once i selected FB messaging as default got a bunch of spam from 900#'s..
In your time line (Timestamps) I do not see anything about Tracfone, but I prefeer not watching a whole video in order to find what you or anyone else is saying about Tracfone. THANKS
Thanks for the video. Yeah I'm stuck with At$T. Just checked other plans on their site they have 2 the unlimited starter $65 mo. And unlimited for $75. But if dig a bit on the site you will find plan for $30 which is only 4 gb 😳 and $10 for extra gb if you go over

Dude this is so helpful. Thank you. Is there any way you could you do a video on, or point me to a video that covers, what exactly the terminology in the video means. Data , priority data, and other things like that.
Also what is "true unlimited"
I have many lines and alot of plans. So far Cricket Wireless is great with it's 5/$130 lines. Metro comes second with it's 5/$150 lines. For a wider range where TMobile or ATT don't have signal, it's Spectrum with it's $45/1 line. If you have data and iPad support tablets or if you just want to pay the least possible for unlimited data, that would be Mint Mobile for $30 a month when you buy the 3 month package
This is so awesome the tool to type in zip code and see which plans cover most of my area
Stetson you have outdone yourself once again. You have the best useable info and recommendations for everyone from an industry expert all the way down me...the guy who knows just enough about this stuff to be dangerous 🙃
Thank you, Redlywaxer! I appreciate your comment and I'm glad you found this information helpful :)
Stetson, how many phone plans do you have and why so many?
I just switched from Att most expensive unlimited plan to their 8gb prepaid plan for $300 per year. Wish I’d done it sooner. I’m saving $1200 per year now.
Mint mobile took my $5 and never sent me the trial kit yet I'm waiting on. because they had a great plan T~T. Like lots for what i need in terms of data plus the hotspot.
Switched from Verizon to T-Mobile and the service is unbearable tons of dropped calls and slow internet speeds will be going back to a cheaper Verizon / visible plan
$120 Ultra Mobile
Year of service
B&H
DIY
Fast
Easy
Reliable
Re-up in store
T-Mobile is the go to
Visible Verizon is tempting
AT&T is always a reliable option
Great work Stets
Mint has been frustrating me lately because sometimes people call me and my phone doesn't even ring or show a missed call...
SAME experience. It was too good to be true. Went back to AT&T postpaid. Excellent service.
@@jakobfour yeah I still have 3 months of service left, but if it doesn't improve then I may try US Mobile or something.
I noticed this and my texts were coming in late.
And... frequent disconnects! Not too happy with some of the performance also.
One of family members has it. Voice calls have not been a problem. However, I noticed a delay with sms & MMS.
Very good, excellent production and presentation, great info! Thanks!
Thanks Stetson for a very informative video!
I work at Verizon and their services is really expensive thou
Thank you for the information. Great video.
Thank you, very interesting! I am also surprised about the huge differences between USA and Europe. Let me give you some examples:
- There was no word about included phones from the provider.
Thank you
Did you figure it out? I’d like to switch to the $25 Visible Unlimited as well!!
How to join your plan like the $25 one? You did a very great job for every one to save money. Thank you!
I would say that's quiet a steal
if only American companies thought more about the Consumer like our European friends do :( Not to mention, how are you plans when you go overseas?
Hi I love all your videos thx
I'm glad you like them! Thank you for watching.
@Chizxy josh be quiet scammer
On the US Mobile plan, how do I know which network I'm on? Do I choose between tmobile and vierizon networks or do they choose for me?
red pockets 500mb annual plan has visual voice mail for my iphone.
How will you top this video at the end of the year?
Best of luck to you Stetson.
Thank you, Skycat! And I will just try and make the best, most helpful video I can, whatever that turns out to be.
Thank you for your work! I would like to know who is simple mobile carrier?
Awesome video!!! How do you get eSIM for the AT&T prepaid plans? Do you have to go to a store? I tried their customer service. They really didn’t have a clue.
My simple question is... can any of those data plans work in Trinidad and Tobago or the Caribbean even if it's roaming?
Who's network does Mint Mobile utilize & or How many different networks does Mint Mobile collaborate with
Learned a lot! Thanks for this video.
I'm here because I need to switch providers desperately. My current provider is incredibly abusive and overpriced. I was thinking about mint mobile. Saw this video and figured I would give it a shot to win a year of free mint mobile
You're the best dude thanks so much
You are welcome, Johnny!
Big thumbs up for the magic floating microphone.
You saved me! This video is wonderful. Thanks so much!
Very professional and great visuals!
Probably one of the best videos I’ve ever watched
What about Google fi for us that travel often.
I currently have cricket unlimited. I was thinking of switching to metro by t-moble. What would you recommend that is comparable to the cricket unlimited?
I tried USMobile but unfortrunaly the service is terrible in Utah be it the white or black sim card :/ Gonna try ATT Prepaid next
THANKS
Normal people: this video made my day
Me: this video made my plan
lol
Hi Stetson have you seen the new cricket wireless plans I believe they remove the
8mbps Cap
Thanks for the video. Yeah I'm stuck with At$T. Just checked other plans on their site they have 2 the unlimited starter $65 mo. And unlimited for $75. But if dig a bit on the site you will find plan for $30 which is only 4 gb 😳 and $10 for extra gb if you go over
Where is the best place to sell your cellphone online if you decide not to trade it in? Thank you for any help!
Great Video!!! Thank you!
Does mint list the info on streaming speeds somewhere? I can't find it anywhere 🤷♂️
Do you have any information on whether Visible or US Mobile has better and faster reception inside Rocky Mountain National Park? Thanks.
You never mentioned about peer talk I like know their plans to they are they bad plans are they good plans I like you know that to what you think. Thank you
