    This video was very helpful. To be honest the two points in this video was plus for me. I don't really want a carrier to keep track of me. This day and age there is enough of places "keeping track of us" The phone has the way to keep track of all that stuff. I will have to rely on my self instead of relying on a big company to keep my info safe and not abuse it. Again the video was very helpful ty.

    Ive had MintMobile for a few months now and I have not noticed a difference in service from my old carrier (ATT). The only difference so far is the price. $45 for the first three month (now $45 for the first six month with 3 month credit). I was given a $15 credit towards renewal so my next 12 months will be $165 and with every referral i get another $15 credit towards my bill. The other carriers are not worth the extra money you pay. They offer you a phone just to hook you into a contract. With the money you save you can buy a phone when needed and without another contract. Not having that bill every month is really nice.

I did a short trial then I purchased an annual plan which is a huge savings.I'm on an iPhone 12 mini and the voice, text, and data have all worked great while at home, in stores, on dog walks... They have a trial SIM card, auto renewal, visual voicemail, WiFi calling, ability to purchase more data if needed, service text message notifications, an app which shows remaining data, and ability to manage other numbers... I'm very happy with the switch. I was happy with my previous carrier, but this one saves me more money and I only have to pay once a year which is nice.

Within those three or six months one would know if they want to keep the service or not indefinitely so they can lock in for the year that $15 a month afterwards.

      wasnt a sales pitch- was giving you info that MINT doesn't ESPECIALLY about the misleading REAL cost of the service. it is NEVER 15$/month after the 'hook' of the first 3 months. MINT makes users pay a 'recovery fee' to pay them for their admin costs and you CANNOT find out this actual out of pocket cost until it's time to get more service. not included: MINT does not accurately keep track of your data usage and can make you pay their updata to keep using the service. The price is so much lower than any other company that was an option and I had no need to unlimited data. The only thing I could see as an issue is that I can't track my teen's calls and texts from the carrier. There are products like Bark that can do this though. All these years I crazily kept paying my $71/month AT&T plan on my phone and I had to have unlimited data that I didn't need. Thankfully I came to my senses. I paid for the whole year what I was paying for in less than 3 months.

    Thanks for the review/feedback... I have been thinking about switching, so that's why I am watching your video (thumbs up, by the way).... I will assume straight away that expecting the same service and quality of a big carrier when you're paying $15/$20 per month should be dismissed. Call quality being equal or similar is great, but I suppose data is the real name of the game. Besides, I hardly make phone calls anymore. I honestly can't even remember the last phone call I had...My dentist, maybe??? Anyway, data is where it's at and if Deadpool can at least keep up, it's worth considering. The thing for me is that I've been with Verizon since 2002 and I have never been dissatisfied with the service. It's a huge network, there have been no issues and my bill is extremely reasonable. Food for thought, my friend.... I appreciate the insight.

    I took my lg g6 from sprint over too mint just started year 2 few days ago. The thing I miss most is I no longer have visual voicemail and I sometimes get delayed text which seems to be a common issue with my phone . I have a new phone on the way I just bought on amazon so Im hoping the delayed text thing stops. Its mainly an issue like when you login to say a bank acct. and they want to send a text to make sure its you well they usually give you like 10 minutes or the code is no longer valid. A workaround I found is I can just sent a text to anyone and that will trigger it to immediately send me any texts that were being delayed. I did contact mint on the issue and they offered no resolution. I have a feeling that maybe something about that sprint phone wasnt fully compatible even though the mint website said it was.

    • @evertonsway
      @evertonsway  Před 3 lety +3

      I use an app on Android playstore called my visual voicemail. play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.vna.service.vvm . It works just like t-mobiles visual voicemail. That delayed texting does seem super inconvenient because I deal with that bank scenario a lot when I need to enter a security code in a short period of time so I hear you.

I was with Virgin Mobile, and I got unlimited t&t but less data and I had to pay $25 a month, I like $15 much more. Plus I paid for 3 months, and they gave me another 3 months for free. At that point in order to keep the $15 rate you have to purchase a years worth of service up front, which again was great, less to worry about every month. If I sign for the 3GB data plan, do I understand the fine print right that if i go over, they wont block further data, they just slow it down? And, if they slow it down, will GPS still be reliable out on the road?
      And, Why use wifi calling at all if its unlimited talk and text?

    • @evertonsway
      @evertonsway  Před 3 lety +1

      They slow it down after you hit your plan data. It's slowed down to 2g speeds but you can purchase more, the GPS works independently of data, you just won't get updated traffic info, but you should probably download offline maps from Google maps and wifi text and calling works great for if you're in an area with low or bad reception, you can use the internet as you're service backup

      @ihatesignupsgrrrrrrr Před 2 lety +1

      Let's just be 100% clear; Mint was awesome for doing that, but they are lying to you about unlimited data... It is unlimited insanely slow data once your respectably fast high-speed data reaches 35gb's, but that unlimited slow data is so painfully slow, that you might even have trouble checking your email and anything else, plan on taking a long nap before it finishes loading!!!
      P.S. I have had Mint on the slow, >35gb, and had trouble opening up the google main page and even email would often be difficult, with GPS maps not even working while driving reliably, it literally is almost 100% useless.

    Mint mobile is great. I bought a year of unlimited, so that's done for 2021.

      They don’t. They have a feature in the app so you to get the control features but not a specific family plan. Also if you do church them out there’s a code in the description of the video so you get a renewal credit
