I was paying over $90 a month for Verizon and I swapped to Mint Mobile (10 GB plan $20 a month) and it's been perfect. I will never go back to a major carrier again after this switch because I realized how much money I was wasting per year.
That voice mail definitely makes him feel like an actual person. And I love that.
It's good to hear from someone that's had it for more than a few months.
I love Mint. Switched 18 months ago from Metro PCS. Metro was cheap but Mint is cheaper especially for people needing single plans. Reception is good. I just paid for the year at $200. Savings hundreds of dollars.
Bro! This is the third review I watch about it, and they have all been positive, but the first one was a 6-month-long user, then a 1-yr, and now you after 5 years! I'm seriously switching, most likely this week. Tysm! :D
Did you switch, Ricardo? If so, how is it going?
I've had Mint for a couple years and I love it.. I have the 15 GB of data yearly plan. Sometimes the calls drop here in the Bay area, especially when calling other Mint mobile customers, luckily most folks text me. Before Mint, I had Cricket which had better cell reception and my calls rarely dropped, but I paid more and could not hotspot any of my data. With Mint I can! It's been a really good value for me and I tell folks to try it. Great review!
My sim card comes tomorrow. I'm actually very excited about this product and my decision to switch. Thanks for the review, Griffen. And thank you, Ryan Reynolds. I'm expecting a phone call.
Very cool! I switched a few years ago and itâs been fairly positive for me too. I have an eSIM for Mint and my work AT&T SIM in my iPhone 13 so I can easily see that Mint/TMo is at least as good as ATT if not better. In fact, I recently drove across the US (GA to NV) and ATT was very frequently MIA. There were times I only had voice service with Mint but at least I could call if I needed!
Good info. I just switched to Mint and my data speed and strength of service improved quite a bit over AT&T. I can handle some voice only spots out in the sticks vs the $$$ I am saving with Mint!
I have hadA AT&T since forever. I hate them. Can you actually change to just voice service? That's interesting.
Iâve been with Mint Mobile for a year. I bought the 10 GB for a year and had a few moments of frustration. I went to a concert in Seattle and wasnât able to call anyone. I was upset and nervous that I wouldnât be able to find my friends. Luckily, I was able to sign onto the wifi and received service. I noticed when I go to huge events in downtown Seattle my service slows down. Another con is going to the âbooniesâ and getting no service or slow. I made the mistake of being only 10 GB and would run out of data. When I ran out of data the internet was so SLOW. I was so upset. I renewed my yearly pay today and paid 395 with tax. This time I bought unlimited data so I wouldnât encounter that situation again. Thatâs about 33 a month. If I choose Verizon by myself I wouldâve paid 70 bucks a month!!!! I feel good about Mint Mobile. I also received Ryanâs Christmas card. I thought it was funny and thoughtful. Iâm a loyal Mint Mobile customer. đĽ°
Honest to God, I'd rather pay more and go with someone else. If a few dollars is that tight, You need to find a better job. Or cut corners someplace else. You can't take a risk with bad service ESPECIALLY if you use your phone for business
Great review. I have been on it over 2 years now. I love it and looking forward to many more years.
Just to get that voice mail from Ryan, just makes it more worth switching over!! LOL!!
My wife and I both have it and love it. It may have a few issues with coverage so be sure and check your coverage map. We live in the foothills and for the most part itâs on par with some of the major carriers. We excuse any hiccups and remind ourselves how much weâre saving. The one thing I will say is if your a person that likes to call and speak to reps for what ever reason it may not be for you. On a scale of 1-10 I would give it an 8,9
I bought this and received absolutely zero mints. Outraged.
Imagine how cute thatd be if they sent a mint thoe .
I know

Been 3 months, great service
Just no online phone log if i delete a call or text from a number i didn't save but need now, im just stuck, Verizon i could get that info. But that info isnt worth $1,440 a year more lol so definitely worth the switch
Mint is not a bad option. US mobile is another option people should look into. Same price for US mobile for 5GB for $15 for priority Verizon towers. Just only thing is it is monthly I believe.
Ordered my SIM card; I hope you get credit for using the link. It went to a referral address until I selected a plan and not sure if it was still in that mode. total cost for the $45 plan was $51.51 with fees and taxes. I 'm with Spectrum's $14 1G plan but kept going over, but not by much and they charge $14 for each gig, so no savings there.
I switched to Mint and was excited. But I have to switch back to AT&T because I couldnât get my Zelle to work with Mint. A big disappointment.
The savings are great but I've used 180GB of data this month and used 290 GB in June.
That's the only thing keeping me from changing to Mint Mobile.
I ordered my mint phone & kit in Mar 2023 & paid $199 phone & $90 prepay cell svc.
Mint charged me $90 for Mar April & May. By May 10th, they shut off my phone.
When I paid via 611, they charged my card $120 for May June July Aug...next due date and be Sept.
I paid May twice.
So far, I've paid $210 for Mar-Aug. If I'm paying for 6-months,
$30 Ă 6 months is $180.
With that being said, they may collect early again in Aug. So, I'm only getting 4-months for my $210, based on their billing techniques.
The Mint Fox đŚ Rocks
Thank you, great review.
Love the video. Looking for ways to save with gas prices rising. Your review and comments from your followers help me decide. I am now a new subscriber.
I switched two months ago. No discernible changes. Just like Verizon only CHEAPER.
I switched to mint about 2 months ago. And the switch from AT&T was almost seamless. However now it has slowed waaaay down. I have the âunlimited planâ which is really 35 gbs of data. But I need more than that. Does anyone know of another carrier like Mint that offers more than 35gbs of data before slowing down? If not Iâll just have to go back to AT&T.
Try to stay connected via WI-FI as much as possible.
My number is still not ported for 3 days. If they can't port it, maybe they just return my money as they promised? Regarding low income people, t-mobile $10 plan looks very promising. I'm going to give it a try after Mint.
Those credits are gimmick. You don't get'em. Also, Many incoming calls don't ring and they don't even go to voicemail. Callers have told me that they thought that my phone number had been shut off. All for using Mint Mobil.
I enjoyed this! New sub for you!
But if Mint goes OoB, your screwed for the money you have already paid. CC is the way to go. No contracts!
I just tried to switch, but it never would work, so had To go back to ting.wheni called to get my number ported back, they wouldn't do it.they held my number hostage. So I had to get a new number.
Are you sure there wasn't some contractual obligation? Cell companies are required by law to port numbers. Look it up on fcc.gov.
@@BassByTheBay no,I don't care if it's the law, they kept it and after 8 years I had to get a new number.
@@pskton Guess it doesn't apply to you anymore, but I posted that so other people would know that it's illegal for a US company to prevent you from porting your number to another provider. The info is on fcc.gov. Telling a provider that you know it's illegal and pointing them to fcc.gov will almost certainly result in them complying.
@@BassByTheBay good to know, thanks.
Cant use a vpn with mint, and barely got a signal so had to cancel the same day. Got my refund pretty quick at least.
It mightâve been a signal-strength related issue. I run my own VPN server and connect to it daily over Mint 5G.
@@griffensander mint technician told me I couldnt use one on data. Only when I was connect to wifi. Not worth me turning it off and on.
I am sold! Can you help me pick a good inexpensive phone? I only need it just for food delivery app services . I have a main phone I use for my day to day activities
I just switched from verizon
You gotta tell us how much credit you got from posting your link
I really want to know how much do you really pay. as j am interesting in switching from straight talk to mint. I am paying 35 dollars for 10 gbs and after tax the bill of 39. I try to buy mints plan and at the checkout I found out there is a lot of extra fee. an it add up seems even more than I am paying now. anyone can explain what is the final price that you are paying.
Don't order, just buy from Target. The driver from On Trac first didn't deliver my sim card, i have a camera on the porch. They said they couldn't reach my from door because of access, theres no gates. After arguing with multiple On Trac customer support people, they kept telling me they couldn't deliver it until the following week. I cancelled the order with Mint on a Friday. A couple of days ago, this is three weeks later, I got an email from OnTrac saying that is was delivered on Thursday, the day before I cancelled my order with Mint. Again, I have a camera on the porch, never delivered. That Thursday they couldn't deliver it until the the following Monday or Tuesday. Basically the sim cards are prepaid and a lot of delivery drivers are not employed with these companies but are day delivery people. So they have a high rate of theft. I also have a FedEx driver on camera walk to the bottom step of my porch and just chucked my kids package across it. like threw it down on the ground so it would bounce off the ground. Just pick up from Target. You still get the Black Friday free three month deal until January. I paid about $50 for six months of service.
I need truly unlimited data so I'm sticking to Magenta Max.
That is not new....This is called to be a SILEC under the umbrella of an ILEC, just research it; what happened is Mint has a different type of management......
Great video.
Man sounds like if this company gets too big, we are going to have a problem.
Thought the same thing, too. I want to tell people about Mint, but if they get too big, they'll probably start becoming just as bad as the bigger carriers...
I reached your channel through your video on the Dell Optiplex Gn+, I'm wondering if you've got any recovery media backed up or anything info on the machine I could use?
Scouring the internet only gets manuals but nothing on restoring the original OS :/
I don't have the recovery discs, but it just takes a standard Windows 98 install.
@@griffensander okay excellent, thanks for the speedy reply too! Not many youtubers reply this quick :D
Very good and informative. Try popping your collar though for a more cool look.
I have TMobile as my main service and is bad to say the least in my area (NYC suburbs) I have VISIBLE as my back up ($25 per month including taxes and no limits on anything ) VISIBE outperforms TMobile all the time...
I can not input the discount link on the Mint Mobile website.
I also got that "Christmas card" lol
does anyone have a referal code for me to sign up?
Mine is in the description of the video :)
@@griffensander ty for being kind sry ty I usually want to make sure i get a code in case anything goes wrong w ref link so it can be given to customer support if necessary
My verizon phone would not work with mint mobile
I clicked on your link but the Mint website doesn't say anything about me getting $15 off of my first bill. Are you sure that link doesn't just earn money for you and not the new customer? Also, the inclusion of his voice mail kinda gives this away as more of an affiliate sales pitch than a genuine review.
Yeh me too it doesn't say anything I keep checking nothing I want the discount
I use my mobile HOTSPOT to download data to my Tesla, so do they provide HOTSPOT's?? COX just raised my cable bill 50$ per month, wish there was a way to cut those people out.
They do. All their plans included free hotspot
So mint mobile would not be ideal in nyc huh?
he doesnt know what hes missing. using a 40mbps service like red pocket vs 9mbps on mint is a big difference
9 mbps? Youâre tripping
@@karimsherali3764 wtf are you talking about lol. Itâs different every where.
I do not have any problem with track phone, I pay 20.00 for talking, texting and 1GB. I have WIFI in my apartment complex, as well as many of the places I usually go. I do not like T Mobile.
I LOST money switching to MintMobile. I quit after just three weeks. Lost $75. Service was horrible. Customer service was even worse.
You mean Ryan Reynolds isn't installing towers??
Do not buy mint mobile customer service sucks bottom line it is a real problem......
You're speaking the truth
"How money did I save?"
He does explain how much he saved at 3:15 on the video's timeline.
The video is 8 minutes. You couldn't watch it?
No offense, but this sounds like a commercial for mint mobile.
I wonder if this guy was compensated in any way for this
Horrible acting I want to puke
I love the Christmas cards #MintMobile sends out!! Iâm not an official user yet (ironically my family uses T-Mobileđ) but I am still an avid fan and unpaid advocate for the company, and I support them anyway I can, well mostly buying shirts and liking the commercials on Twitter.
I even managed to get my paws on last yearâs card, despite not being a user. Still hoping to snag the card from 2020, but Iâm persistent (I even got banned from the Subreddit for âbegging too muchâđ¤).
Aww, I love RyanđŤ
