You forgot that Alex and Carlos still had their appendices.
Underrated comment! 😂
Lmao
Most important fact of them all
I was still living in Shanghai back then. The race was awesome. Saw the race 2 years in a row.
Sorry 2019 Daniel, 2020 Daniel, 2021 Daniel, 2022 Daniel, 2023 Daniel, 2024 Daniel……
fr that one decision changed his career for the worse
Sad, but true!
There’s a good chance even if he stayed at Red Bull, he wouldn’t be as good as he was back then, much less as good as Max. Not every driver is Alonso or Hamilton and stays as mentally and physically sharp as they have for 2 decades. Lol
@@ringoferrer2343 Nah, he did well in 2019 and amazing in 2020, it was McLaren that wrecked his headspace permanently.
2020 one his best years
I'm surprised Bottas at Mercedes didn't get mentioned despite being the most note-worthy one, or Kubica, or even the Russell-Norris-Albon trio being rookies, etc.
Back then, Albon and Sainz had their appendix attached still. 😂
That is more than you would imagine
"torro rosso stil exist" this blowing my mind, how old feelings the torro rosso
And we think now that red bull dominance is crazy (which to be fair, it is, but not to thet extent lol).
It's arguably just as crazy. Mercedes were dominant for a longer time period, but were far and away less dominant overall than Red Bull currently. Additionally, we still have a lot more dominance from Red Bull yet to come. It's a rough time.
@@LoogiBalloogi the W11 would like to have a word
@@LoogiBalloogi The Red Bull team is a complete package. No setup problems (apart from Singapore 2023), no strategical errors and an extremely consistent driver. They have made no major faults during races these last years, whereas Mercedes had times with cooling problems or tire degradation, during which a Ferrari or Red Bull could snatch a win. That seems the main difference to me.
@@LoogiBallooginah the 2014-16 Mercs had a statistically larger average gap to next best car than even the 2023 red bull had - we just forget
@@LoogiBalloogi2020 had qualifying sessions where the Mercs went over a second faster than the next car. 2016 was super dominant as well, they would’ve won every race if they didn’t double DNF in Spain.
Sorry 2021 Daniel, we’ve got some bad news.
Sorry 2022 Daniel, we’ve got some bad news.
Sorry 2023 Daniel, we’ve got some bad news.
Sorry 2024 Daniel, we’ve got some bad news.
Insane trip down memory "lane", please do more vids like this in the future.
I can see Riccardo being teammates again with Nico Hhhhhhuuuuullllkennnberrrrgg at Haas
Toto wolf i hope never getting replaced
(G)old days . What a nostalgia . We missed it 😢
A stroke of nostalgia kinda
TheRace didn’t exist
That's a loaded question 😅
2019 Ricciardo would know for sure that he fucked up.
Max delivering victories in peak MB & Ferrari era in a Car which isn't expected to do so were peak Max moments.
Well. Technically Daniel’s move did PAY off… about $120mm worth of payments.
still can remember how Lewis threw the championship away, 2007 in the pit entry
Still remember how fraudlonso got owned by a rookie and threw it away in Fuji Canada Spain 😂😂😂and much more
Back when it's good
Forgot to mention the cars were actually good
Copying F1 WORD. Nice! Very original.
What they own the trademark for videos talking about what happened between now and 5 years ago in F1?
You forgot who torpedoes both Mclaren
Hot take: Pierre Gasly was the best no. 2 driver for Red Bull since Danny Ric
Dumb take*
Delulu
albon better than gasly
Ricciardo wasn't a no2 driver.
@@megumin3336 exactly
Please stop the karaoke subtitles.
And Norris didnt have a win either, oh wait…
They hadn't released their China syndrome yet... the world was much different
Ah yes! Videos for newcomers and racing wannabes to make them feel like full experts on the field... That's every F1 CZcams Channel right there. 😂
I have always appreciated Ricciardo's attitude and demeanor - his smile alone has made him a great ambassador of the sport - but it's time for him to go. While he's definitely a skilled driver, his career is less than impressive and there are too many young, exceptionally talented drivers waiting in the wings to have someone like Ricciardo occupying a seat.
You mean Fernando Alonso was busy helping Toyota buy two illegitimate Le Mans wins because they were the only LMP1 car worth a damn at the end of that era lol
*LMP1, and they weren’t at all illegitimate. There were other LMP1 cars, just no other hybrid LMP1s from big car manufacturers. And the other manufacturers had left on their own accord - you’ve got to be in it to win it, and Toyota were. Their loyalty to the ACO allowed for the creation of the WEC back in 2012, and saved them from the total collapse of their top class in the years between 2017 and 2023; have some respect.
@@theocousins6386 I have no respect for an organization in ACO that literally begged and pleaded Toyota to stay and prop up the dying LMP1 cars in exchange for two effectively gifted overall wins at Le Mans.
Sorry, but when your only competition left in the class other than Toyota is a woebegone half-ass of a team owned by Romanian reject Colin Kolles - whose only claims to fame are being the grim reaper of dying F1 teams and trying to blackmail Toto Wolff - then it is simply not legitimate. Sorry, but Fernando's two LM24 wins will always have asterisks next to them.
@@rosarioyeen1371 that’s horrendously reductive and straight up false framing. You’ve intentionally ignored the other contesting LMP1 teams, all of which were of much higher quality than ByKolles - Rebellion, SMP, Ginetta, and DragonSpeed.
@@theocousins6386 all of the privateers lack the one thing manufacturers like Toyota have: a development budget. Unreliability would have made it a lottery as to whether or not any of them would make the distance or if they'd succumb to a humiliating situation where an LMP2 car - and in it's current form as a spec category now - would have won overall. It almost happened at LM 2017, and that was with Porsche still in the sport at that point. It was a sign that LMP1 was dying and ACO was flailing to keep the WEC alive, so they kissed Toyota's ass to keep them around and that's how you get the death of all of those respectable privateer teams now in Hypercars and LMDh. Everyone in Hypercar or GT Prototype is a customer team or factory team. The era of the privateer is dead.
