Some of my sons' friends have ADHD. Some are doing pretty well with medication and are mature, responsible adults. Some struggle. One is a compulsive liar, a braggart, and sometimes violent. He's been fired from multiple jobs because he lies about his training and experience and just won't be told anything because he thinks he knows better. When Trump came on the political scene, I said to my sons, oh my god, he's a Brian. It's not the ADHD, he's a broken person.

The whole point of this interview was to talk about whether or not Trump is using drugs. The doctor notes his dilated pupils which would indicate he's used stimulants. If he has ADHD that could potentially help with that. I imagine that IF Trump has ADHD is likely he doesn't know it. His reasons for using stimulants are for other reasons. He's projecting by accusing Biden of using. Trump has personality disorders, possibly ADHD, and has other health issues as well. At 78 years old it's safe to say we will all have problems with our health. I also see Frontotemporal Dementia and have been watching his dementia worsen as the months go by. He will not be able to function at the level that's required of a president. We've got to keep him out of office. I believe he won't make it in because he's simply too ill and too incompetent to do it. Please, vote BLUE. Save our country we all dearly love. I voted early, not having known about it, so I was happy to vote in person and get it done.

As someone with ADHD here - spot-on regarding how Adderall is actually an asset that shouldn’t be stigmatized. Got diagnosed as an adult and it changed my life. I had also suspected for years that Trump had ADHD based on the way he carried himself, spoke in public, and rarely followed through on things. Also, we should be careful to not conflate his obvious ADHD with the things that actually disqualify him from office - bad ideas, authoritarian bent, narcissism, etc.

Excellent interview Pakman, as an RN, the eyes tell you quite a bit about a physical assessment, and their physiology cannot be hidden.
I have ADHD, and I'm nothing like Trump at all. He has NPD (Narcissistic Personality Disorder). Which means he has no empathy whatsoever, has no interest in anything that isn't advancing his agenda, and is incapable of apologizing or admitting fault. And given that narcissists can easily rationalize any behavior simply because it's what they want, his being on drugs isn't surprising at all.

These meds are responsible for his incontinence because he has uppers most of his adult life, and this poopy thing is a side effect. I'm super curious about some of his issues. Many are just classic "brain farts" or "senior moments". But he has had a few that are much more peculiar and really stand out. The one that really stands out is "oringes" instead of origins. The partial tweet ending with a typo of "Despite the constant negative press covfefe" followed by 6 hours of silence is also disturbing.
He's not using Adderall at therapeutic doses. Plus he supplements his Adderall with cocaine according to insiders. This is what fuels his rages.

🕊️In my experience the people I’ve had interactions with, or that I know personally, who have been diagnosed with adhd and are treating it, all seem to have a special, specific gift. As long as the medications they are prescribed don’t completely squash their personality, their uniqueness, it will show up. The only thing I would disagree with is when he said Trump was wandering around on stage at his interview with Hillary. He wasn’t “wandering around”, like “aimlessly”, he was literally stalking behind Hillary, purposely trying to intimidate her, or showing that he CAN do that. It was a very thought-out (and sexist) intimidation tactic. I kept hoping she would turn around and say, “Will you PLEASE stop stalking me?”

Having had a parent with diagnosed Alzheimers, before they died, the specialist Doctors did the diagnosis after my parent had 2 sets of brain scans over a 6 mth time frame and the brain shrinking into what looked 'holes ' in his brain in the 2nd set of scans , it was obvious to me as a lay person that there was something serious going on in that parent's brain. So yes Medical specialists do make diagnoses before death when brain tissue testing can be done.

I really wish you had asked Dr. Kruse if his diagnosis was to the exclusion of any other chronic condition. In other words, I'd have asked him if he could think of any other condition (or set of conditions) that might explain all his observations and the conclusions he drew. I'm nowhere near a psychiatrist, let alone a neurologist, but I think with the diagnosing out of office/clinic we at least should ask if there could be some thing(s) else. I find this video highly offensive. As a person with adult ADHD, I am very familiar with symptoms of this disorder. Trump is far, far worse than someone with ADHD. To say that someone is not narcissistic but simply showing signs of ADHD completely misses the mark. Trump is not only narcissistic, he is an outright sociopath. What I don't understand is how anyone can become the President of the U.S. without first having an FBI background check prior to running a campaign, as well as mental fitness tests conducted not by the candidate's preferred doctor or of the candidate's choosing, but by more than one qualified examiner.
Whether it’s actually needed, I certainly don’t have an issue testing as long as the are both tested. I don’t even care if either are using appropriately prescribed medication, as long as they are OK. I’m far more concerned about what they do for our country as a president.
The reason athletes are subject to drug tests is for performance enhancing drugs that may give them an edge over the rest. The president isn’t competing. If anyone should be on performance enhancing drugs it should be the president. 😃

I have ADHD. I don't take any medications, I have learned to live with it. My work finds me focusing on highly complicated problems where I have found that my ADHD is of great benefit. My mind is always going, I think about a problem night and day, research it obsessively, and will usually come up with a novel solution. However, things outside my comfort zone and multitasking are a no go. I would not be a very good president, nor would I run. But I am a hell of an engineer.
