- In this video I go through the Geometry Regents August 2023, part 1, questions 1-24. I cover many of the topics from high school geometry such as:
similar triangles, parallel lines and transversals, triangle proofs, exterior angles theorem, using trig to find a missing side, using trig to find a missing angle, cross sections, alternate interior angles, transformations in the coordinate plane, inscribed angles, rigid motions.
Here is a link to the practice exam:

If you have any specific topics you want me to cover, let me know in the COMMENT section. Thanks for watching!
I just want to say THANK YOU SO SO MUCH. I never payed much attention in geometry, I was slacking. When I took the June geometry regents I had failed. I did nothing to prepare for the test. But, I wanted to retake the test because I don’t think that grade should represent what kind of student I was. I’m just not good at math. I watched ALL your geometry videos and retook the august regents AND I PASSED!!!
Congratulations on passing!!! I'm proud of your effort and your no-quit mindset.
Thank you so much as I’m taking the 2024 geometry regents and this helped me a lot
I'm happy to help! Which topic(s) are most challenging?
@@vinteachesmath trig and the second question you talked abt
@@vinteachesmathI’m having trouble with volume word problems, and the proofs any tips?
Awesome video! Waiting for Questions 25-37. Without watching your videos, I wouldn't have gotten a 92 on the Algebra 1 Regents. Proud to subscribe!
Congratulations on the 92! I appreciate your kind words. I am proud to have you as a subscriber. Your hard work paid off on the alg1 regents.
I will make the second part, it's in my queue!
@@vinteachesmath when will this be ready
Ur explanation on every one of these reviews are just perfect man, it literally is implemented in my head and I can’t forget it, that’s how good u explain the questions. Thank you
I appreciate the comment! I am glad that you are feeling this strong/confident 1 week out!
for number 2 there is a simple formula,
x1 + a / a+b ( x2 - x1 )
the same applies for finding Y
the (a) and (b) are from the given ratio and makes them a fraction for the equation in the calculator🤓
what is the a and b??
@@sophiaa9724 you’re welcome! it’s very easy when things be simplified in geometry, than just a lot of thinking process 😭
@@sophiaa9724 a and b are from the ratios like for example, 3:1
a -> 3
b -> 1
and so you do
3 / 3+1 for it to be 3/4 and u write it in your calculator
Thank you so much for making this video!!! I'm also a geometry teacher, I shared your videos with my students. It helps them a lot! Did you happend to make a followup for 25-35 in the Aug 23? I couldn't find it by search. Can you share a link if you did? Again, thank you!!
Thanks for sharing my videos with your students! I didn't make that video, but I will try to make that Aug 23 video before June 21st
What is the software u are using for writing?
Notability! I also have used goodnotes, onenote and smart notebook, but right now, notability is my favorite
@@vinteachesmath you use it on ipad or any other device?
Am i the only one who got scared by the bear?
You are not alone... the bear still scares me! Watch out for those beartraps 🐻
