  • In this video I go through the Geometry Regents June 2022, free response, questions 1-24. I cover many of the topics from high school geometry such as:
    similar triangles, parallel lines and transversals, triangle proofs, partitioning line segments, exterior angles theorem, using trig to find a missing side, using trig to find a missing angle, cross sections, alternate interior angles, transformations in the coordinate plane.
    Here is a link to the practice exam:

    If you have any specific topics you want me to cover, let me know in the COMMENT section. Thanks for watching!

    • @vinteachesmath
      @vinteachesmath  Před 2 lety +6

      Two points away means you need a small push. If you thought it was easy while you were taking it that means you know a lot of geometry but probably need to work on the free response. A lot of times you can know what is going on but need to figure out how to write your solutions in a way that get full credit.
      jmap.org/JMAPRegentsExamArchives/GEOMETRYCCSSEXAMS/0622ExamGEO.pdf
      If you go to 48/138 of the pdf I linked above, you can look at sample student responses to see how students write their answers to get full credit. AP Calculus is the same style of scoring, you need to master the rubrics.

      so basically in a circle there is 360 degrees right? well since there was a diameter it basically cut the 360 in half, so one side of the circle is 180 and the other side another 180, 180 + 180 = 360, since one of the given said that one of the arc is 100 alll you needed to do to find AQ was 180 - 100 which is 180, NOWW you have 180 on one side and another 180 on the other side!
