- In this video I go through the Geometry Regents January 2024, free response, questions 25-35. I cover many of the topics from high school geometry such as:
similar triangles, parallel lines and transversals, triangle proofs, using trig to find a missing side, volume of 3D solids, area of a sector, alternate interior angles, transformations in the coordinate plane, slopes of parallel and perpendicular lines, proving a parallelogram is a rhombus, constructing an altitude.
Here is a link to the practice exam:

If you have any specific topics you want me to cover, let me know in the COMMENT section. Thanks for watching!
you are the reason I passed Algebra 1. I appreciate your review videos. They help a lot. Hopefully, I pass the geometry regents as well .
I appreciate the comment! I hope the geometry regents goes well! I will do a live stream review the night before the Geometry Regents!
I passed! I took the geometry regents and I got a 74! I couldn’t thank you enough, this was a regents I’ve been so stressed on especially since I failed last year. My goal is to get an advanced regents diploma and this was the only test I needed to get it. I can’t thank you enough for all the study guides you’ve posted. Thank you so much, and have a great summer!
Congrats on the 74! Awesome work!
I am happy to help and enjoy your summer as well!
Thank you so so much. For you I got 96 ( the highest score in our whole School) in Algebra 1 regents. Thanks a lot. You are doing a great job ❤❤❤
That is a very impressive accomplishment, congratulations!!
Thanks for the comment - I am happy to help!!
It would be very helpful if you reviewed all the topics on the geometry regents. maybe you can go through the review sheet made in 2018 in more detail! thanks:)
Thank you so much for these videos 😭 it actually saved me so much in geometry. Your videos were the main reason I scored a 99 on the geometry regents this June. Thank you for these videos, and I’ll be back for algebra 2 next year 🎉🎉
Congrats! A 99 is a very impressive score, awesome work!
Enjoy your summer and thank you for the support. I will start making the June 2024 Regents Videos as soon as they release the exam.
Great stuff! Thank you. So helpful.
I am happy to help! Good luck on Friday!
ur saving me for the regents
I am happy to help! I think it's awesome that you are putting in the work for geometry so far in advance! Which topic(s) are most challenging?
tysm
I have been watching your videos, and noticed I got better! I answer the questions before you do, and check if I’m correct. I got all of part 2 correct!! Hopefully I can pass my regents next Friday aswell! Wish me lick
good luck i also have mines friday and very stressed
in 11:39 if you don’t write “about the origin “ will they take points off?
Yes! Make sure to say the center of rotation
Vin will you be doing another AP Calc AB + BC live review again?
May 8, 9, 11, and 12!
do we have to memorize all these formulas or do they have them stated beforehand?
This is all you get: www.jmap.org/SupportFiles/JMAP_EXTRAS/RegentsExamMaterials/CommonCoreReferenceSheet.pdf
i am cooked on this regents in a week, my teacher is awful and hasn’t taught us anything
Same here; and the regent is tomorrow :(
literally same, my teacher gives worksheets but doesnt explain how to solve them nor review them. i dont know anything, only algebra 😭
@@kingfoxy2814 I totally understand, and my parents will be upset if I get like less than a 90. That's what happens when you have parents who took the regents you're taking in high school in 6th grade and got 100!
Good luck on tomorrow, by the way :)
@@SimchaAkkerman yeah I’m just aiming for an 80 at least but Ik that’s too low for my parents standards but I cant do anything about that sadly. Good luck on your regents as well tmr!
@@kingfoxy2814 You too!! I'm still up studying (and watching bits of young Sheldon LOL- for a break, since math can get really heavy on the mind!!)
GOOD LUCK
😆And 80's a great mark.... I'd be lucky if I get that...
Hey vince are you doing a live like last year?
Yes! I will do a live stream the day before the exam!
I got an 89 this year for geometry 🥳
I need tips to pass my geometry regent and I will take it on June 21 and I am days away, please
Take a full regents with no notes and no distractions (music, cell phones, etc...), then practice individual topics based on the questions you missed. Keep repeating that process until test day.
Also, I would make sure to master the topics in the order of importance. For example, similarity, right triangles and trig make up 29%-37% of the regents, so I would make sure to be awesome at those questions.
This link will break down the topics by percent so you know the order of importance!

Vin I have a question, let’s say you take geometry and algebra 2 regents and you didn’t take algebra 2 course and for some reason your invited to take the algebra 2 regents. What happens if you pass the regents like you get a 100 but you didn’t take the course?
At the very least, you would be allowed to skip A2 and go to precalc. I would ask a guidance counselor or AP about getting the credit for the course. I only know of a few students who did this, and I forgot if they got the credit for the class. They definitely skipped to the next level of math, though!
@@vinteachesmath yeah I’m asking that question because I wanted to take the algebra 2 regents. I took a practice test on it with my current knowledge and I got like a 88 i just need to learn a bit of trig for the algebra 2 which I heard is the only topic that differs than the algebra 1. Like I heard that algebra 2 and 1 are the same it’s just that algebra 2 has more topics like probability and trig however the probability is straightforward it’s just the trig
Hopefully i pass cuz of u ma boy
Awesome job putting in the work so far in advance!
im cooked.
Keep practicing so you can do the cooking!
lol real
