  • Parts are coming in & in this vid I get the ATI balancer on. Install was easier than I expected. I put the hub in the oven @ 400 degrees for about 15 mins to try and get it to expand, then I just used the old bolt to pull it on. Worked out perfect for me. (There is a specific ATI install tool ATI would like you to use, butttttt yea lol) I torqued the new crank bolt to the manufacturer's 240 ft lbs and torqued the balance to the hub using ATI's torque specs with the provided hardware. Thanks for checking out the video as I go through my first 2J build, Please feel free to LIKE, COMMENT & PLEASE SUBSCRIBE. See Ya.

      Thanks man. I hope to get it running in the next 2-3 months once more parts come in

    Great Job. I'm currently in the process of installing one now. Bought an installer tool kit and it didn't come with the adapter bolt needed to screw in the crank.

      You can use the old bolt to pull it on and remove it and torque with the final bolt assuming it’ll work with whatever installer tool you bought

    What size are those 12-point cap bolts? I can't find anything anywhere that tells me that. Mine has just those all around and nobody ever says what size they are, don't know which socket size I need to remove it...

      I do not remember at the moment and unfortunately I’m out of town for 2-3 weeks for work. But it wasn’t a hard to find size or anything. But if you still haven’t found out by the time I get back I’ll let you know

      @@GetItAtWiLL Thanks, I ended up using a 1/4 spline drive socket, wasn't exactly it but it worked out well 👍

    Do you have to change the crank bolt or can you use the stock one

      Stock bolt works. I bought a new OEM one to use.

    Is it difficult to remove the hub from the crank?

    • @GetItAtWiLL
      @GetItAtWiLL  Před rokem +1

      No. Mine gave minimal effort. Just used a puller and it was cake.

      @@GetItAtWiLL thanks man! I'm in the process of putting my JZ together. Was just a little nervous about this part as well as the VVTI gear being locked clockwise.

      @@kenyattasamuels5714 it’s not too challenging. If I can help at all feel free to hit me up. I’m not 2J expert but it seems to be going well so far

      @@GetItAtWiLLhey, what puller did you use yo remove the ATI damper from the crank?

    • @GetItAtWiLL
      @GetItAtWiLL  Před 8 měsíci +1

      @@kenyattasamuels5714 the ATI damper or the stock. I only removed the stock damper. I installed the ATI damper. Although the puller should also work on the ATI hub as well

      I’ve seen this so much when I was doing research on it. I just knew I was going to have to hone it but it went on perfectly. Idk if it was the oven thing instead of heating it with a torch or what but let’s just say I was pleasantly surprised lol
